Now, I have not had a chance to spend time with the console, so we'll have to wait until their final product launches before I can really comment.

They were in a tough spot; either keep quiet and keep the rumors going or address them but don't have anything concrete. Either way they were fucked. Sony is laughing at this stuff because they have been on cruise control for months now without any gaming journalists grilling them like MS is getting.
