Been some time since I watched this, so I could be hazy, but it's about a boy and his soccer playing bro, and solving problems with magic. Good on these girls for not selling treasure and helping people out.

I'm having FLCL flashbacks.

Full of energy, funny, and Yukino's great. Yes, I'm probably going to enjoy this.
oh im jealous. Watching KK for the first time

One of the best shows ever

Infinite Ryvius 26

This was a nice cooldown/full-circle final episode, although the situation to create that full circle felt contrived. (
While I understand why the same crew were needed to pilot the Ryvius, because they had already formed a bond with the Sphix, I didn't really understand why the government needed the Ryvius piloted so badly and urgently.
) This is also where the Lord of the Flies comparison breaks down, since
that book ended pessimistically, whereas this ended on a note of hope. I almost wish things had gone worse, but I'm sure the creators didn't want to go there with a commercial project.

All in all, a good show which was carried principally by strong character drama and strong direction during critical moments of tension. It did a really good job showing how everyone reacted differently to the stress of their situation, and portraying the shifting balance of power between the various factions on board the Ryvius. I'll always respect a narrative that pays attention to how good and evil are intermixed in the human heart.

I will never watch another Hisashi Hirai show.

Valvrave 07

Okay so now we know Rukino's not dying at all in this series. Lame, especially after all the death flags she was throwing last episode.

What da fuuuu why did they have to go and kill new secondary character. I was thinking there was going to be more to her story, especially with all her connections to the others. lolnope

Her death scene seemed more graphic than it turned out to be.

Sword Art Online to air on Toonami in August

Lol now to await ToonamiGAF's reaction

Man, Sylphiel's so lame she can't even pick up sticks. WORST GURL. Anyway, Lina's kind of being incredibly irreverent in this episode, using the heated water left in the crater where Rezo nuked and murdered an entire half a town as a hot spring, but what evs. NOONSA is back in this episode, until Zel kills him by holding still, which is a shame, because "he's got sexy legs!" Gourry, meanwhile, manages to beat Zangulus using only Sylphiel's comically useless rod, meaning that Gourry is one heck of a swordsman. Which isn't actually that useful during boss fights, because all the final bosses are super magic dragon devil gods, and well, legendary sword or no, the final blow tends to get handed to Lina.

[Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon S] 101
This entire episode could have been avoided had Mamoru been a good boyfriend to begin with! This is why all the NTR doujin about Usagi being a bad wife are a thing!

Sadly, as is the case with these cour finale thingies, I doubt we will see more of Kaorinite, especially now that she knows Moon's identity. It would be pretty cool if the antagonism shifted to Uranus and Neptune a bit, though!
:eek:okami-kun
Cool. I need to give this show a rewatch.
The first episode was certainly something. I hope it can maintain that quality throughout the run.
I'm sorry. I'm so sorry.

Ho-ly sheet.

If you want the entire first season of Aniplex of America's SAO Dub on Blu-Ray, it'll run you up $360.

What truly kills me is that there are people who are going to buy that.

LAWL.

Bokini is :SDBurton heaven and also :DTL hell. This episode was downright hilarious. Not as good as Gurren Lagann's Hot Springs episode, but still hilarious. I mean, from the turtle bikini bottom slingshot to the elastic autonomous barely covers anything bikini to the many glorious exchanges between Van and Joshua.

Joshua: "Van, about Bokini: is it true there's no underwear, there?"
Van: "Go to bed."
J: "I can't! I can't stop thinking about it!"
V:"Go to bed."
J: "But what about the underwear?

And then the absolutely horrifying men's underwear that had to be censored.

Joshua: "Van, is this what they call a Happy Ending?"
Van: "Go to bed."
Joshua: "But I can't! This is a Happy Ending, right?"
Van: "Well it's certainly a climax."

BWAHAHAHA.

Unfortunately, I doubt you experienced that episode as it was meant to be seen

How was I meant to see that episode?

CAJUN.

CAJUN WHERE ARE YOU.

I JUST HAD FEELS. FEELS OVER ROBOTS.
ROBOTS CHOOSING TO DIE AS THEMSELVES

After you get past the hilariously wide faces, painfully unnecessary upskirts and that TWIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINKLE, this is a story about two ex-cops whose chief has basically set out a manhunt on them, and if the last ten seconds of this show are any indication, stuff is about to get realer. Like hecka real.

So I plan to wish Night on the Galactic Railroad this weekend, as icarus commands it.

I plan on not falling asleep in the middle of it.

Yeap, I like this show.. the robot, production value, music and cinematography are top notch. Its technically well made.

What I love the most though is the mood, its very breeze and daunting.. everything move so crisp, from intense battle to the nonchalant scene, and its even have some nice horror movie moment in between that. Good stuff.

RIP Bones.

I'm glad you're enjoying the show. El Dora 5 is still the best thing about it though.

Is that a subtle reminder that Branduil needs to finish his no-sub watch of Rahxephon?

About the only thing I liked about it was the music and episode 19.

At the very least, you didn't like any of the animation or action? I would assume those would be enjoyable in isolation from the rest of the series.

Man, I guess I'm LTTP to this whole anime crowd sourcing thing. There's a new one called Anipipo that is actually listing goals in terms of Yen and is for original projects.

Wooooooooo, 3-day weekend and Monday is a paid holiday wooooooooo time to anime!

Also, i'm glad you all liked this week's Valvrave butt. I had to stop and rewind to it again a few times because I was blinded the first time.

Probably something like these real people I know:

I can't imagine crowd funding being a sustainable or semi-sustainable source of finance for anime production.

Rewatching Hataraku Maou-Sama ep 8 again.

This episode is amazing by the expressions and action by the cast. Apart from the exaggerated expressions of Chiho, the other subtle out of focus expressions is nice.

When Maou suggested about Suzuno about working with him. The expression of Chiho and Emi scanning her eyes is great on how clueless Maou is.

Suzuno made it even better when she tried to copy emi spilling the milk. I didn't take notice on the first time until she did the Yes! I did it! gesture after opening the milk.

I don't remember there being any action. Just things screaming. Animation was nice, though.

Oh now, I used the word feels like, a half hour ago.

ZZ Gundam 12

Roux is Best Girl now, but she's a far cry from Lt. Emma Sheen. Where the hell is Amuro? Probably screwing Belawfultchika. But where is SEYLA? I saw her ONCE during Zeta and now she's nowizzle. Oh well, Frau Bow was best girl anyway.

Anywho, ZZ Gundam is still awful and the Zeta is way cooler. And Chara Soon is an even more bafflingly awful leader than Mashmyre. Someone told me ZZ was supposed to be a Saturday Morning show, and I can see that for a lot of it, but I mean, the Zeon have still gone from being like, scary space men to Scratcher and Grounder levels of lame.

A question about the latest Maudonald's popped into my head, which appears to have been asked already:

Hataraku Maou Sama! ep 8

Wait, if Suzuno never seen a television before or know how it works then how did she managed to watch all those documentaries and all those old period dramas to prepare herself for Japan?

Haha, oh wow.

Might as well go ahead and post the guy's summary of the Nagahama panel.

"Rotoscoping the show has almost doubled the production time."

Nagahama seems like a pretty cool dude. I'm fairly shocked to hear that it's added that much time to the production schedule, I assume they had no idea that it was going to be quite that laborious when he originally pitched the idea. Either way he must be a pretty persuasive guy to get this entire project greenlit in the first place.

Is Sword Art Online really as bad as you all say it is?

firehawk12 said:
Fuck Japan award: Sword Art Online. This is the worst show ever to have been produced by a culture. Take the solipsism of The Newsroom, the depravity of K-Town or any other reality show of that ilk, and the sad humanity exhibited exhibited in shows like Honey Boo Boo and you'd STILL get a show that is morally, ethically, and spiritually more justifiable than Sword Art Online. The bar has been set so low that I can even see merit in a show like OniAi. Fuck you SAO... just fuck you.

I need to find his other hate post.

I didn't watch SAO after the first main half, but at the moment I feel like Valvrave is about the same, except more absurd.

I have a feeling though the second half of the show is the key to attaining the levels of hate firehawk got to.

And VVV is dumb, but it's nowhere near approaching being offensive.
