I haven't seen that many people actively saying piracy is ok. Some people say piracy doesn't mean they would otherwise buy said game, but that's about it. In some cases they would, in some they wouldn't.

Some people are a bit too harsh, but that's just some people, not everybody. After reading some pages, I have only seen 2 guys actually saying piracy is good (which isn't, in my opinion), but that's 2 out of 100 comments, hardly enough to go and call people motherfuckers.

What bothers me the most is some person that's a professional, calling people motherfuckers just like that. Yikes...

Yah, these hashtag counters don't seem to be too accurate.

They base it on 1% (whatever 1% they find.... so its possible for them to see 0 on this graph, even if hundreds are posted and it does not get them in the 1%)

Not really hes pissed at the people condoning piracy. Despite my feelings on this issue theft is not the answer, and suggesting it is only hurts what we are trying to accomplish with this.

We should all try to understand that these policies aren't being integrated solely to benefit the cash-haemorrhaging Activisions and EAs of the world.

So long as I'm at peace with my Mustang purchase, at the time knowing that I'll get far less when/if later reselling it, Ford can have whatever they want.

My point is that you're still going to be able to make your purchase knowing what you're getting. If you don't think it's worth it, then you won't. You're just going to have to be a little more informed and a little less reckless when spending in future, and savvy customers are better for everyone.

If however you're the type of 'customer' who blindly consumes product via an indifferent model of buying and selling 2nd hand, without fuelling supplier demand, without liking games enough to want to keep them, or unwisely lining the pockets of developers of poor software, then it's hard to have sympathy.

I'm pretty sure MS and Sony take the suggestions and wishes of all their partners and licensees seriously. It's actually the smaller companies that will benefit most.

The manual kind. Which is why I said this is the last time I will be doing it (since it takes a long time to do the initial load before the copy and paste now)

Put @yosp or #ps4nodrm in search field. Made sure that all tweets were being displayed. Basically, kept scrolling down until the first tweet popped up regarding this (after the initial bonus round thread). Select all, copy to notepad to not copy the images and what not. Delete all text before the top most tweet.

Select all copy, paste in word.

Find all - whichever term (so for overall tweets to yosp, searched @yosp, for #ps4nodrm I'd put that in). Every single term matching it gets selected, cut, paste in another word document.

Find & replace that term in that document with whatever, and then the "replaced x amount of times" gives you the number of times that term was used. Reason why I did't post exact numbers is because some tweets post the hashtags multiple times.

Got to the point that I had to use multiple word documents to count the #ps4nodrm overall count due to the program I use not being able to fit in anymore characters (without any spaces in between) in the document.

Should devs make money off used games? Legally it's not necessary. But practically, I see zero issues- ASSUMING IT DOES NOT HURT THE GAMER'S EXPERIENCE (other than gamers having to just get used to a system they are not used to)- for devs/publishers to try to get a cut of the used game market. You can argue that no other industry does such a thing but I would argue that right now with the used market there are folks- namely Gamestop- making boatloads of cash off used games so why in the world- ASSUMING the game biz finds a solve that makes customers happy- would the game biz not put into place a plan that will allow us to be the ones making the cash. SOMEONE has to make the cash off used games- why the hell NOT the folks making the dang games?

And before you write back telling me how terrible you think Xbox One's solve is and this how bad my above view is, know two things:

#1- Neither you nor I have HEARD the specifics of how they plan to deal with used sales. Until we know that, no real point in arguing that specific case.

#2- Please see above where I make it clear that the solve- whomever benefits from it- MUST take customer's experience/happiness into account. As much as I feel used game cash should go- at least in part- to the game makers I DO NOT AGREE that the customer should feel ANY sort of hit because of the shift in where the revenue goes. If ANYTHING it should allow the customer experience to be better and/or allow the customer to make more cash off used sales/share in the revenue of the used sale. But whatever the solve, it MUST be customer friendly or- for me- the whole thing falls apart.

I can probably handle that if they're YouTube. I know the very basics of HTML but YouTube makes embeds pretty easy, right? I'm doing the site through Weebly, which makes designing minimalist web pages pretty simple.

I like David Gaffe. He does try his best to be at least balanced. I have no problem buying used games directly from publishers rather than retailers, long as there are the same significant discounts for buying a used game years after release.
