Frankly the concept of a version of PSG existing without rolling the Rs on RRRRRRRRRURRRRRRRRRUS is fundamentally offensive.
Eh if it's bad TV I personally wouldn't consume it at all, unless it was of the 'special' kind.

Part of it is habit. I'm going to "watch" Community S5 even though I know it's going to be crud.
Don't get me wrong, I don't dislike the Japanese Dub of PSG. I like both equally, and really, they excel because of different reasons. Japanese, because of the awkward english curses and hillariousness of the Rolling Rs, among other things. English, from the fun "balls-to-the-walls" take on the series and great choices for voice actors for each character.

That's a reasonable argument for dubs. I find a more compelling argument to be that when a work is subtitles your eye is forced to look at the dub rather than whatever focus that the director originally intended for any particular shot.

I don't know I really can't see anything positive the English dub brought to the table to make up for what was lost in the transition.

I tend to prefer dubs. My main reason is I have a hard time enjoying a show if my eyes are glued to the bottom of the screen reading. I feel like I constantly have to fight between reading what's being said and watching what's going on. Are some dubs bad? No doubt, but I don't think that they're all far and away bad, and honestly its more comfortable for me to watch it that way. Subtitles are just a lot of times not conducive for me, but that's of course personal preference.

Exactly the point that needs to be gotten across. All this is about is personal preference and opinions. Nobody is wrong or right. What we should all do is the things we want to do, without worry of what others think of it.

Is that an AC Gundam? Because I've kind of stopped watching AC Gundams recently. Well, I mean, I'm watching G Gundam again because its dub wasn't so hot (except for like, Master Asia), but otherwise I don't know. Isn't Turn A the one where it looks more like a Zaku with a mustache?

Turn A does, indeed, feature a Gundam with a moustache, as well as a wide number of unusual designs. It also features actual Zaku's later on. It's a pretty great series with both the best Gundam protagonist and best Char-clone.
It's just Gaming Side's Time of the Month where they make those threads. Much like Lina Inverse, it cripples their magical abilities for awhile.
I'll check it out when I finish G again. I kind of burned out on AC Gundam for awhile after watching AGE and 00 back to back.
This reminds me of when the conversation revolved around aspect ratios again and duckroll laid out some way of watching Hidamari in a ridiculous convoluted way using cinema projectors to get ultimate wideface. Wish I could find the quote.
