Damn, I was googling for that pic, ah well. But I did find this one!

We actually made it this many pages without it being linked. I'm somewhat disappointed.

We've waited through five years of near total silence, countless disappointing famitsu reveals, and one huge bankruptcy scare, but dammit, if there's one thing about the P5 hype train it's that:

The thing I'm actually most excited for is the UI and menu design.

It's one of the most polished things about the game. Some things could be done faster menu-wise but as far as style, readability and accessibility goes, it's incredible.

Sony would pretty much have to break the bank for that. It would sell more on no less than half a dozen other systems than it would exclusively on the Vita.

Persona series usually sell around 200k to 300k. Not saying Sony will do it, but despite its popularity, it never was a million seller title.

So I'm about 3 hours into P4G now.

It's pretty solid so far. I was getting really bored at the beginning (soooo sloooooooow), but I can tell it's starting to get good.

Here's hoping it's for a system that actually evolves its visuals past the PS2 era. Atlus has been living in the last-gen ghetto for an entire generation, so hopefully P5 actually looks modern.

P5 for PS4 would probably be one exclusive that could prompt me to actually bother buying the system before FFXV is released.

Wii U exclusive. Nintendo locked up SMT/Persona like they did with DQ for their handhelds/consoles. Just watch

Want to avatar bet that it won't be WiiU exclusive lmao. DQ ain't locked either. It goes to the console with the highest userbase. Nintendo just paid for a WiiU port of 10 which was just a waste of money as it hardly did anything to WiiU sales.

Even if it were to happen, I really doubt that there would be nearly as much craziness. Persona is still extremely niche and not really a big deal in the grand scheme of things.

I dunno, meltdowns on GAF would be pretty legendary

maybe not DQIX legendary, but it would rival Bayonetta 2, I think

As long as there is one portable (Vita or 3DS) version of Persona 5, whether lead, multiplat or late/enhanced port, I'm okay.

How would a portable version be an enhanced port of a game on superior hardware? P5 is going to be on PS3 at absolute worst - a PSV or 3DS port would be a significant downgrade.

Man, I just don't get this whole portable obsession for Persona. With Square being a worthless pile of garbage, the consoles need major JRPGs - handhelds have enough already. :[

It's funny how some people expect Persona 5 being multi.

Why would Atlus do it with Persona if they don't do it with Shin Megami Tensei or Etrian Odyssey sagas.

Etrian Odyssey kind of relies on a map making system were having 2 screens is highly beneficial. SMT IV was probably made with limited budget so 3DS was the easiest choice. If Persona 5 is going to be released on the PS3 anyway, there's nothing stopping a multiplatform release on 360 as well.

Persona is portraits of people talking and traditional JRPG battles. Not to mention you'll sink tons of hours on them.

Will take portability over fancier graphics any day.

I don't even want to begin to hope that it will be on a handheld. I don't want that disappointment when TGS rolls around and it's announced for PS3/360 or something. People in this topic are doing a really good of job trying to get my hopes up though. I'll for sure buy the game if it's on a handheld no questions asked, but I just think it's going to be on the PS3.

It's only portraits because the hardware they've been putting the games on has been crap so far. A full-spec Persona 5 on PS4 with Catherine-style graphics would be way better than anything else.

And if it's a portable game, I will inevitably get bored with it and never finish it, just like what happened with every portable JRPG that isn't named Tactics Ogre or Birth By Sleep. I don't have the patience to huddle over a tiny screen for 80 hours.

Just asking. Isn't SMT - Nintendo and Persona - Sony?

given that shin megami tensei 3 was exclusively on the ps2, and shin megami tensei 9 was exclusively on the xbox, i'd say no.

i don't have the patience to be tethered to a tv for 80 hours.

The amount of interaction in the next Persona game ideally surpases that of Catherine. Dont think hey're not gonna do tons of animations/voice acting and fancy models. It's gonna end up being portraits on screen as an addition to the smaller models again, and i'd be fine with that if handheld.
