BioShock Infinite DLC: Clash in the Clouds (Horde) & Burial At Sea (Rapture) revealed

It's a lot like Dishonored's DLC where the first one was a challenge/trials type DLC, and the other two a combined story expansion.

I'm totally fine with this.

I bought the season pass and am really happy with the looks of all three DLC's.

Not sure why al lot of you guys are so annoyed. It looks great to me. Can’t wait!

Same here.

No need to be intentionally thick. The combat in Bioshock Infinite is the worst aspect of the game to most people. Essentially 1/3rd of the season pass that a lot of people bought is now wasted on what to them will be a shitshow. That's why we're annoyed.

Glad I didn't pick up the season pass, I'll skip the horde mode and pick up Burial at Sea.

A little disappointed they went back to Rapture I enjoyed exploring Columbia but it looks like they're doing something interesting with the setting so I'll bite.

Well I thought the combat was pretty great.

Sounds good absolutely adore the story of Rapture and it downfall
Really happy that we are going to see Rapture in its full glory rather than just seeing the aftermath

Basically admitting that Rapture is better than Columbia? :/

Wow.
Irrational delivers on something fans have wanted for a long time: a chance to explore Rapture before it fell. Infinite's storyline offers a unique opportunity to bring this desire to fruition. I'm not sure where your criticism fits into this. If the third piece of DLC goes back to Columbia, are they still admitting Rapture was a better location?

Burial at Sea looks awesome. They really going full steam ahead with that multiverse thing. I expected more Columbia but what did they leave to explore there?

Funny thing the news of DLC spoiler the ending for anyone who not played infinite yet.

Yes it spoils the part of the game where Booker is sent 50+ year into the future, forgets about Elizabeth so he doesn't recognize her, and sets shop as a private detective in Rapture. Or maybe this never happens.

I know what you mean, but it only becomes a spoiler as soon as you point it out as being one. Until then, it's just a fictionnal story with the same characters and no apparent ties with the Infinite events.

I liked the combat. Everyone I've talked to outside of GAF liked the combat. I'm not so sure "most people" is accurate.

That said, I'm probably skipping the first DLC because I want story and combat. More of the actual game, in other words.

Building Rapture from scratch again couldn't have been easy folks. I get some of the "aww horde" comments, but I honestly wish more devs did this kind of story DLC where they re-use very little from the main game.

A bit underwhelmed by Irrational's decision to go back to an already fleshed-out location in the series instead of expanding on Infinite's own location, which already left a lot to be explored.

I guess a horde mode was to be expected and I might bite. The story DLC on the other hand has me intrigued and hyped. Also to go visit Rapture before it all went to hell? Just putting syrup on the sweet buttery pancakes right there!

Not disagreeing with you, but the third DLC is confirmed to be set in Rapture too:
However, the bigger news is that the second and third DLC packs will form a two-part detective story set in Rapture.

I kind of expected there to be at least one non story dlc. They said from the beginning Levine was only working on 2 of the 3 total. I still wish all of it was new story content, but I liked the gameplay in infinite enough to give Clash in the Clouds a shot.

That's just gross in more ways than one.

It would have been nice for the first DLC to have been a small story set in Columbia and the 2nd and 3rd DLC be about Rapture.. Probably just did not have the time.

I liked the combat too. In fact I loved it.

I understand peoples complaints about there being too much of it. I don't necessarily agree with them, but I get where they're coming from. They wanted more exploration, more dialogue, more whatevertheywanted. I didn't care about that though, I was happy as hell to be blowing shit up. A two weapon limit was really crappy though, and I would have lied more opprtunities for aerial combat. But other than that, I had an absolute blast.

I'm getting this DLC asap as I will all of them.

Looool at first pack being a horde mode. A good reminder to not buy season passes before we know all the content included.

Somewhat disappointed that it's more Rapture, but the trailer makes Burial at Sea look absolutely brilliant. I love noir stories, so it should be fun to play through.

Horde mode is skippable.

Well, huh. That's a bit disappointing. I would've liked to return to Columbia. I didn't want to have no piece of DLC not return to Columbia (and no, horde more doesn't count).
NO NO NO NO NO
So don't do a noir story?...
Well, they want to do a noir story. Doesn't mean they like Rapture as a better setting, but perhaps, as the person you quoted said, they found it fits more with the story they were trying to tell.

Ugh. The combat was mediocre at best and there was way too much of it. I really don't want more.

And that other one seems like a total, unapologetic fanservice. I've had enough of Rapture.

Which is cool for you, but to say that you don't understand why people are annoyed is ignoring the fact that we've laid out why we were annoyed. You should by now understand, you just don't agree.

I knew that some didn’t like the combat, but some of the reactions in here still surprised me. Eh, can’t please everyone I guess.

1 - Songbird related story DLC
2+3 - Rapture detective

would have been fantastic.

Lack of reading comprehension.

Corporate apologizism. There is an implied association between "single player" and something with a story, they have exploited that with double speak, and I am kind of upset about that. They basically made a multiplayer mode without the multiplayer, well except leader boards.

Infinite ending spoiler (maybe)
Buried at sea being set in Rapture doesn't mean we won't see Columbia at all. We know Elizabeth can take us there.
