All these feels. I can't. Which is surprising given how short an amount of time they had to
flesh Sachi and Kirito's relationship out enough to give her death some impact, but they did. They actually did.
Testament to the pacing, or writing, perhaps.

I'm beginning to see that I may have underestimated this ish greatly.

Hitokage

Setec Astronomer
Da Capo I, II and III

ohhhhhhh boy. oh boy. ohhh boy ohhh boy was that bad. Someone shoot me now. I put up with 3 different iterations of this absolute garbage. I am now desensitized to awful. This makes every show this season look fantastic. I'd rather watch the entire second half of SAO on repeat like 10 times then this.
Pretty sure the abyss goes deeper.

hey gaf, Shuffle or Girl's Bravo? Which is worse I need more garbage in my life.
First half of Shuffle is the most boring harem anime ever, but the second half is quite a bit of fun as the perfect image everyone has cracks.

But let's not beat around the bush. If you want real garbage, you want Eiken.

I'm glad you're enjoying it, but wow, you're out of step with the general consensus on animeGAF/ToonamiGAF on these eps lol

It was horrifyingly bad. I don't understand.

They're both good. Girl's Bravo is probably a little better than Shuffle but I enjoyed both. If you want real garbage then something like Eiken would be a better choice. But I really like all of Da Capo so I'm probably not someone you should trust on that.

Yeah, the second half of shuffle is kinda alright. Way, way over the top, but kinda alright, still.

Was averse to it myself, for a while. Just didn't at all seem like something I'd dig.

Glad I did check it out, though. I can tell that it's burning through material like a flame to a notebook too. I'm a much bigger fan of faster pacing, but there's moments in here where nothing resonates because they're moving so fast.

And Utena was a good show. You shouldn't recommend the Utena movie to anyone, though. Except on the grounds of visual presentation. 'Cuz that movie's plot is messier than a toddler's plate..

Wow, someone agrees with me! Though I think character development is the larger problem than plot. After all the hype the movie left me empty and feeling that it wasn't anywhere near as good as the TV series.

No that's what we need in our lives. Eiken looks absolutely revolting but 2 episodes isn't too bad. I need stuff to fill the voids until Thursdays.

Edit: And thanks for all the replies. Gonna check out Shuffle first.

Chinese assassins truly is the greatest gift this show has given us so far. I just died laughing every time they were on screen. The person in charge for the dub should be commended too for that.
As traditional with MB34 we get more rape and depravity and Mad Bull being a fucking tank (lol)
I still am having a hard time understanding the motives of Coffee guy. What does he see in helping Mad Bull?
Also lol @ the ending. Sleepy the nice guy.

Watched 16 episodes of Majestic Prince so far. I'm enjoying it way too much and not really sure why. (><)

Still trying to catch up on Titans, at 9 episode now, 8 episode was great, 9 somewhat not, or it just didn't meet my expectations.

What's watchable in the summer season, new I mean, moe and fanservice free more or less?

Mad Bull? What's that? not sure I ever heard of it.

So nice to be in my own bed again and get some regular sleep. I've been running off of fumes for the last three days or so. Anyway this was my big success from Otakon even though it ruined my sleep schedule for the weekend (I had to wake up between 4 and 6 the entire weekend).

There're probably a lot of shows that are 'requisite' viewing that I haven't seen.

I'm inclined to trust Shard here, he has my back.

There are actually. but some for great reasons and some for very...special reasons.

Well you're watching one of them. That I am ashamed to have not watched before...

But here's my top three shows that EVERY fan of anime should see.

Gurren Lagann (You will have a blast)
Puella Magi Madoka Magica (If you like Evangelion, you will most likely like this.)
Code Geass (Especially R2)

I agree on these Seda. these are excellent shows. All three of them are quite special series and Im pretty confident you will enjoy them.

There's this thing here called "The list" which School Days belongs to, that is like a compilation of shows that are completely baffling in some way and elicit unusual reactions in the viewer, generally being extremely shocked at some plot development, laughing at how bad the show is in some aspect, or both.
I don't really know what the exact criteria is, but some shows in it are genuinely fun to watch (Code Geass), and others are just meh (School Days).

The LIST is a clearly defined set of shows that have something memorable about them. they might not be the most well made and recommendations for them might not be serious, but you WILL remember those and they will have an impact, whether its hilarious or mind altering lol.

We could recommend Sukeban Deka more.

Thats a good one actually. Short, easy to watch, and entertaining.

Start the purge. Create the ideal society where only those that have seen Mad Bull 34 are around.

But then theres nobody left to enlighten! It wouldnt be fun.

I saw both of these, and neither compare to the pure horror that is Rock-A-Doodle.

I am just humbly trying to spread the word, really.

Your tireless efforts are appreciated, darling.

I have a soft spot for Rock a Doodle. Yeah it was terrible but its one of my childhood movie memories. Its shared with the likes of Rescuers down Under and Secret of Nimh, so not all is lost!

School Days is really the only Harem anime worth watching imo.

While not quite true it is perhaps the purest example of the genre. no compromises.

But I like to think I'm a nice person, but maybe I'm not...

You are a nice person Chet. No worries. *hugs Chet and gives him a penguin with boobs

PVs and news from the weekend that I don't think we've covered yet, thanks as always to Moonphase for aggregating links:

Tokyo Ravens looks suitably like Kaze no Stigma, Tokyo Underground, and pretty much every other urban fantasy manga adaptation ever. Plus CG mech things!

Nagi no Asukara has beautiful background art, but looks unfortunately like low-tier PA Works (it's very reminiscent of RDG and presumably uses the same staff). The trailer also gives as little away about the presumably supernatural elements of the story as possible - or, in fact, if there's much animation in the show at all...

Plus, as I believe ANN has covered, there's an official announcement of an anime for Donten ni Warau ("Smiling on a Cloudy Day"). Meiji-era slashy supernatural samurai brothers, judging by the plot synopses I've read - DTL have you read the manga for this?

It's considerably better than the American market.

Thats really quite sad if true. Ashamed of my countrymen :(

Sword Art Online 1

This was actually kind of good. Kirito's way more solid than the art lets on.

This is how it begins. You wont like how it ends...

It was horrifyingly bad. I don't understand.

hey gaf, Shuffle or Girl's Bravo? Which is worse I need more garbage in my life.

Girls Bravo is pretty terrible but its very entertaining and extremely cute.

First half of Shuffle is the most boring harem anime ever, but the second half is quite a bit of fun as the perfect image everyone has cracks.

Yes. Eiken is the true abyss. Beware.

No that's what we need in our lives. Eiken looks absolutely revolting but 2 episodes isn't too bad. I need stuff to fill the voids until Thursdays.

Edit: And thanks for all the replies. Gonna check out Shuffle first.
