Looking at the announced launch games, PS4 would sell well at launch and then fight for irrelevancy with the WiiU a month later. There's absolutely nothing in the launch list that caters to the JP audience.

It does give Nintendo some room to try to fix the WiiU over there though.

Personally speaking, I think launching in 32 countries within a month has redeemed cboat, he only said Sony were ready, and could launch in Oct. He's an MS guy it was probably talked about as worst case scenario within MS.

With Sony launching in more than double the amount of countries than MS they must be really confident in the stock they can produce. It's a good list and should secure Europe for Sony but obviously there will be people that are disappointed they won't get it at launch inn their country. I don't know how much the rest of you know about Japanese culture (I'm an expert), but honor and shame are huge parts of it. It's not like it is in America where you can become successful by being an asshole. If you screw someone over in Japan, you bring shame to yourself, and the only way to get rid of that shame is repentance.

What this means is the japanese public, after hearing about this, is not going to want to purchase the PS4, nor will they purchase any of Sony's games. This is HUGE. You can laugh all you want, but Sony has alienated an entire market with this move.

Sony, publicly apologize and announce a 2013 release date for Japan or you can kiss your business goodbye.
