Unless some crazy shit happened and also never leaked (which would be even crazier) I can't imagine a scenario where the PS4 isn't the better looking version.

They're waiting for the check to clear before deciding which version to neuter.

Considering EA's Microsoft partnership, I am not going to be surprised if the XB1's version ends up being superior. Somehow.

it could also mean that they know that PS4 is more powerful but they didn't expect it to be this big of a difference.

It can go both ways, but the logical answer would be PS4 considering what we know abot system setups.

Yes, brand new Studio Ghost Games is in charge of NFS Rivals and Criterion of the whole Franchise.

If MS did indeed pay EA '$$$' as you suggest and all they got for their cash was a NFS game that 'looks a little better' than the PS4 version the phrase 'a fool and his money are soon parted' springs to mind.

I saw a lot of comments actually downplay this power difference between the two. they didn't know that PS4 > X1+ WiiU + X360 in raw power only excluding the memory setup which will further the gap even more.

Isn't NFS leading on PS4? or at least it's the version they use for their videos? Don't know how this bears for BF4 etc.

Yep. All signs point to this dev thinking that the PS4 version will be closer to the PC version than it's console counterpart. We'll see if more developers start talking.

1. It's bad form to promote one console you're supporting over another as it could potentially damage the sales on the weaker version.
2. It's bad form to criticise one hardware manufacturer as it will impede the 'relationship' between pub and console maker, leading to fewer lucrative deals in the future.
3.He has absolutely nothing to gain by announcing it. To be honest, it's rare that we even get this much of an honest (I assume) quote from a dev regarding platform parity.

Good news for X1 if the PS4 is just a little bit better. The way the board has been talking I was thinking the X1 was going to get crushed.

There's now way it's not the ps4 version. It has 50% more GPU shader cores than the xbone GPU. I think it's pretty obvious that that can be the only answer.

By teasing this you are sort of doing 1-2 to Xbone as people already assume its the PS4 that is better based on what we know about the hardware. (Even if not true)

Re: 3. So don't comment about it then. Just say both versions will be comparable.

If the PS4 is already performing better on launch games, imagine how much that can increase when developers figure out how to really program for these machines.

I understand. What I'm saying is the audience he is speaking to will know exactly what he means, making his coy approach irrelevant.

From my point of view, posts downplaying the difference as minimal will ultimately appear more 'silly'.

XBox graphics were better than PS2 ones, even the ones from EA, weren't they?

PS4 will have better graphics, full stop. If you care about that, get a PS4, and if you really care about that, get a PC. If anyone thinks otherwise, they are deluding themselves.
