The Qanba Xbox 360 sticks will work on PC right?
Only asking because I see sticks are listed as PS3/PC or 360. I'm pretty sure it does but I want to make sure.
Who is Jack Galinato?
Speaking of namco sticks, just got mine in the other day.
Mint condition, no rust or oxidation on plastic, and it still has the original box also in mint condition.
My only gripe was that it was somewhat expensivebut I thought I deserved it after working 110 hours the past 2 weeks.$95 shipped
Is that a Playstation Underground logo?
What are the Chun Li Mad catz sticks going for these days?

Is that new or used?
Bad news for my arcade sticks. My ONLY local supplier of laminate top labels in WV just got rid of their stock and deleted it from inventory. I had been there only customer since opening for that product and they will NOT be getting more in.
Yes, I've looked elsewhere...no there is no one. WV is a dead zone for commercial stuff so print shops are few and far between and none of the major places carry this as it gets no use.
Is there a place online I can send graphics to in order to have laminate top labels made for Madcatz arcade sticks and the Hori Wii Stick?
I have heard negative things about Xarcade in the past. From what I remember they don't use arcade-spec buttons and levers, and the button arrangement doesn't follow a standardized panel design.
QUESTION: if I wanted to someday replace the sticks in the Xarcade with Japanese sicks, what sticks would work? I'm guessing there are no easy solutions since JPN sticks are made for metal panels. :-/
Don't even try it.
been eyeing this stick for literally years. seems the price has gone down over the past few months, wonder why.
Just got this. it's not quite namco stick, but very similar if I do say so myself (the lever is similar to the ones that of Namco's that had a white gate).
I got one that had micros buttons, not rubber contact. they feel fat and high though. Interesting PCB too. might mod, if the buttons annoy me.
edit - lol
i like normal sized balls. also leftover hori buttons :v
my old job used to have a tankstick mame setup. if you haven't already placed your order, you might want to reconsider. the parts are utter trash, very stiff and bad feeling. though I guess you could swap for HAPP or IL but how much would you be investing in the stick at that point? surely there are better options. The button layout is basically standard US arcade fighting game layout - 2 straight lines of 3 buttons next to a bat stick. That's actually the layout I grew up with in the arcades, not the Japanese ones we find on today's fight sticks (which are awesome as well). See here:
The extra 2 buttons at the bottom... I guess they'd be useful on consoles if you need access to button 7 and 8. Otherwise I'll just ignore them and/or use plugs if they bug me. But they seem to be in a non-problematic placement.
UPDATE: Maybe this is what the 2 extra buttons are for, LOL! Had to post this image because it's awesome:
As for the sticks, we'll see. I've read that Xarcade improved the sticks over the years. If not, I can easily replace them. I have some Happ Supers laying around from old projects.
Anyway, this thing will look great in front of my 27 inch monitor. =)

any good stick deals floating around?
was gonna buy the wwe brawl stick but popular opinion tells me the stick sucks. my former favorite stick was a hori ex2.
thank you.

I had a Hori Fighting Stick SS for years... Cannabilized it a while back; only component I ended up keeping was the connector cord for the MC Cthulu. I sold the joystick case to a fellow in Canada who customized it into a Neo Geo joystick.
In a word, the stock stick is nothing to write home about. Yes, the joystick is about the same as the Namco Arcade stick lever BUT the buttons are awful.
The stock buttons on the Fighting Stick SS (PS1 version is identical save for minor differences in the PCB and a different connector cable) feel like hitting bricks.
It's no wonder I like the Ascii Fighting Stick better. The buttons on that are about as comfortable as standard Sanwa buttons. Joystick levers on the two sticks are about the same... JLF-feel otherwise nothing special.
I got both joysticks towards the end of the Saturn era in the US for under $20. I was able to get the Hori Fighting Stick SS for $10. A bit earlier, I was able to buy two Namco Joysticks at Wal-Mart for $15 a-piece. The 1990s was just not a big era for joysticks and a bunch of controllers ended up on clearance; they just didn't sell well. If Hori hadn't continued making joysticks for the PS2 in Japan and hadn't introduced the HRAP around that time, I don't think we'd have the stick market we have today. The apathy and lack of quality controllers would have killed home arcade sticks. There certainly weren't a lot of joysticks sold in the US during the PS2 era -- not that I can remember. I don't ever recall seeing the Agetec Dreamcast Arcade Stick in the US for that matter...
thanks both of you for the write-ups. sounds like I will continue to wait on HORI SS, possibly indefinitely.similar to what GeorgeC said.
if you're gonna be playing saturns shmups though, its actually good enough unmodded. (which is what im mainly using it for)
mainly the only issues I really have is not in the controls, but the construction. It's obviously a sign of the times, designs were very different back then... but yeah, I feel like the metal panel's coating will corrode overtime easily, unless you baby it. but otherwise, it feels very sturdy, more so than some recent HORI FS-line sticks. But yeah, if you can spot a minty one, get it, otherwise, prepare that can of rustoleum for that bottom panel haha.

And I've used my PS1 version on my Saturn with success. .
Also, here is a close-up of my CP for my Rhythm Tengoku. I stopped buying a lot of sticks this year to focus on some cabs. This one has a cool CP. Buttons light up when you press them...here is is in service mode and I lit them all up:

oh yeah nsfw maybe.
O___O
the problem with most PS sticks and the tototek converter is that the Saturn has no R2 or L2 equivalent. I have a Namco psx stick and I can't use it because roundhouse doesn't register at all. That is a good point. It is the heavy metal on the top and bottom that gives the sticks their nice feeling. Plus the "seimitsu" look on the buttons and stick.
Anyways, here is the PS1 version i picked up a couple years ago. It has some sexy old-school branding with the dumpy looking Fighting Stick text, the big-ass PS gold logo and the cool older Hori logo. I really want to finally get the SS version now.
