smh@offscreen footage. people doing reviews for living/money need to get Vita capture units, I've seen normal LP guys have them.

Yeah, and really bad quality off-screen footage at that. I sometimes do off-screen footage of Vita games, but at least it looks pretty decent since I use a good camera.

Yep - it'll be a shame when people post up videos of Killzone which won't do the game justice with off screen footage.

I think IGN said they want sony to sent them on instead of getting it themselves.

Anybody else having problems with The Walking Dead?

I've had it freeze on me twice now (right after selecting a response) and it's a bit sluggish in general. Which is strange because it doesn't seem like a very graphic intense game.

Playing a retail copy btw.

Despite the problems I'm absolutely loving it on Vita, didn't even play half way through the first episode on my PS3 but now I just can't stop playing.

Those Murphy levels look unbelievably boring.

Yeah, gotta agree. That's how I felt about the Wii U demo too.

People were getting mad that gamespot gave the Wii U version an 8/10 and the 360/PS3 version a 9/10 because of how they handle these levels, but that seems completely valid to me.

Fair. I love the Murfy stuff. At least from the Wii U challenge app. Especially the Murfy Challenges, where you have to go as far as you can. So much stuff happening that you have to try to keep the guy going and it's so fun.

That truly pathetic, so IGN/Ziff Davis don't want to pay just $400 to offer better coverage and footages to millions of its readers and just waiting for Sony free goodies.

I have the retail too, no freezes - played the first two episodes. But yeah, it runs sluggish like the PS360 and iOS versions. #bestonPC

Well, of course, the biggest gaming site on earth can't afford that stuff. Leave that up to places like PSN Stores...you know, the sites that can really afford it.

Sometimes IGN playstation team is just weird. Like sometimes not completing a game to review, or not playing the online competent and much more.

This reminds me of the whole DRM fisco where Game reviewer were OK with this since they always get games for free.

Tested the other multiplayer maps of Killzone Mercenary.

Well the beta one was one of the smallest. The other maps are very cool, very good maps for a multiplayer game...

I should hope so considering how tiny the beta map was. Do the other maps have the same spawn issues?

Do the maps feel empty because of the 8 players limit or are they well designed?

Looking for a metroidvania adventure game for my new vita. Guacamelee good enough for purchase?

Yes it's pretty good.

if you ok with PSP games on Vita get Castlevania Dracula X Chronicles (for Symphony of the Night) if you don't have it already.

Played the whole thing, no freezes. Lots of stutters and other strange things, but nothing that impeded gameplay.

I just noticed that EU Vitabros get KZ:M a week earlier than me. :(

I guess we in NA now get Rayman Legends earlier than you guys, though. :p

Hey guys I just checked the PS Blog, guess there's no sales this week?

Might just pull the trigger on Spelunky tonight since I managed to beat the demo with a bunch of lives left.

I also think I'm going to hold off on Killzone Mercs because the internet at my campus doesn't work with any of my portables and I was going to play the multiplayer for the most part.

I thought they were usually announced when the update blog post went up but I could be wrong.

Spelunky is great.

I have to be honest, it doesn't convince me(it never did tbh), imo type 0(psp) looks better

If it's anything like the previous entries the story will be miles ahead of type 0. The models and animation look janky but this is falcom's first real 3d rpg and they operate on a low budget so it's forgivable.

Either way the chances of localization are near zero.

The new Vita Mega Pack - Sports and Racing:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w57JD91O-Vo

Everybody's Golf
ModNation Racers: Road Trip
MotorStorm RC
Top Darts
Table Mini Golf
Table Top Tanks
Gran Turismo (PSP)
Wipeout Pulse (PSP)

Asides from Everybody's Golf it seems like a bit of a downgrade from the last Mega Pack to me.

I am failing to see why Resistance is looked at so poorly. The story is pretty lackluster but I am enjoying it so far. For the record, I thought COD was horrendous. I couldn't play COD without getting motion sickness. Resistance feels like a real deal FPS to me.

The campaign was....alright. I had no real issue with that part of the game.

Thing is it's very short and the multiplayer in that game is hoorreeenndddouuusss.

Presentation was terrible, not dissimilar to something you'd see on a decent quality iOS FPS. The sound was absolutely wretched. The gun sounds were just...ARGH. Multiplayer was incredibly barebones with no creativity in it, and came along with serious network issues. I felt angry that I spend $40 on it.

However, it controlled well and made a good case for FPS's on Vita.

I actually thought the multiplayer for both Resistance and Call of Duty Declassified were pretty fun. I wasted a good amount of hours on both. The hostiles mode on COD wasn't bad either.

I haven't tried the multiplayer yet, however the gun sounds really are the worst - they sound like someone making popcorn or something in the microwave. Are the cutscenes supposed to be such low quality? It seems like they compressed the hell out of the quality and they then tried to make it seem like you were watching some old film from the 50s.

If I had paid $40, I'd probably be angry too. I feel like $20 is the most the game is worth.

What are the PSN releases for this week? I know about Kickbeat and Rayman; are there any others? Have prices been announced as well? I'm at work so I can't browse the PS Blog.

Other than guacamelee, that is really good, there's knytt underground but while it's awesome(one of my favorite games) it's not for everyone.

Girl with a clumsy voice hits main character and fall to the ground. Yees!!! JRPG seal of aproval.

Joking. I love JRPGs as I said lots of times

My concern about remote play is the disparity of buttons on the Vita and PS4. I hate the idea of using the rear touch pad on Vita for anything, but sadly I'll have to do this.

Still looking forward to the feature though- I love playing WiiU games on the pad.

Is there a possibility of Sony releasing a case with R2 and L2 buttons? Dualshock form, simple mechanism where something hits the rear pad and make it work. It would be easy, just use a material that the rear pad recognizes. It could do wonders when remote-playing at home.

This is why SCEA sucks for not doing pre-orders.
Someone at SCEE just needs to slap the hell out of SCEA and start doing things for them.

SCEE definitely needs to take over the duties of SCEA.
No one needs to lose their job though.
SCEA could do maid service for SCEE.
