Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
Hey guys, anyone willing to help a guy out on Rogue Legacy? :p

I'm stuck at Ponce de Leon, got any tips for this guy?

I'm at lvl 55 and he's at lvl 52 (cos I used 2 grace runes) but I still just can't manage to get him below half health =/

Using the Hokage with Quantum Translocator is your best bet. Trigger your ability at the bottom of the screen immediately when the fight starts, so when you get into trouble you can activate it again to teleport to safety.

Lure Ponce up into one of the top corners, and get any hits you can in on him. Since the Hokage essentially does double damage you'll only need about half of the hits as you regularly would. Again - if you get into trouble activate your Quantum Translocator. You can also use the Hokage's special ability to turn into a log and teleport if needed.

Of course as with all things Rogue Legacy, you'll have to rely on a fair bit of luck to actually get a Hokage with this ability, and once you do arriving at the boss with a good amount of HP can be tough too. It also revolves around what abilities you've upgraded, etc.

I will say this though: Ponce de Leon is the toughest boss in the game, hands down.

Good luck!

We'll be performing network maintenance at two of our datacenters on Tuesday, Sept 10, from 08:00 PDT (GMT-0700) through 09:00 PDT (GMT-0700).

Network connectivity for some users will be momentarily interrupted during this maintenance window. Gameplay for most users should not be interrupted, but Steam chat, game lobbies, matchmaking, and community web features could be affected. Some multiplayer games that check for an active Steam connection may also be affected

We'll be performing routine maintenance on some of the Steam servers Tuesday, Sept 10, at approximately 16:00 PDT (GMT-0700).

Hmm, only 72 entrants is pretty surprising. I'd have expected a heap more!

Great giveaway, looking forward to a stream from the sexiest voice on NeoGAF.

I was going to enter, but then realized I'd probably be too scared to ever actually play it. Figured it should go to someone who actually wants to brave it. :lol

Finally got around to playing FEZ.. I don't recall the Xbox demo being nearly as good.. did they leave out the intro or did my daughter bypass it and I somehow missed it as a result?

:lol

Well not to turn into a LifeJournal post but June/July was a really busy time for me:

- Last two months of my course were hell trying to get my first mentor to sign off stuff.
- Grandma went into a coma and passed away.
- Hassle from ex-boss of failing to pay severance pay.

But I'm back now and able to create Steam threads again :D
So sad to hear that, man. Hope things start getting better soon.

We have you back here with us. That's a good thing, I believe.

My work proxy finally blocked GAF, and even though I can access through the mobile sites and by the IP address, neither way lets me log in. The former sends me to the regular GAF site after inputting my username and pass, which is blocked, and the latter says "Invalid redirect URL" when trying to log in. Which means I'll miss every giveaway when I'm not home, not to mention you'll all miss my awesome posts (just kidding with this one).

Oh well, at least I can still lurk...

The "Updated" version of Hotline Miami doesn't work on my machine. I selected my resolution, left everything unchecked and tried to load it. It shows the auto-save icon then the Devolver logo and then freezes. After a click or two it crashes. So I tried the "Original" version and it crashed the first time too. It showed the Hotline Miami logo then went black with a weird error. It seems to work in Original now, but it shows bars on the left and right.

The Hotline Miami Patch is pretty cool, especially the Alienware Feature.
Its not a big deal but it gives the PC a color configuration while you play and the lights respond to whats going on in games.

We don't have "get out of jail free" cards, but if we did, she'd have one.

alpha protocol is amazing

you can be the biggest douchebag ever

buy it people, don't let the haters convince you otherwise

Second. Alpha Protocol is a pretty cool game.
Though it is a bit rough around the edges so if you aren't used to that sort of thing you might not like it.

"Amazon will have a pretty good bundle later this week. Hitman Absolution, Sleepy Dogs, Tomb Raider for $14.24 total. PC of course." - https://twitter.com/Wario64/status/377226169159909376

I'm thinking of picking up Tomb Raider, would anybody else like to split the pack with me? I'm aware that Tomb Raider is the newest/most expensive game in the pack, so I'm thinking $7 for both Hitman and Sleepy Dawgs. Or I guess $4 each separately if different people claim each game. If you think that's reasonable and you're interested, send me a PM.

EDIT: Sleepy Dawgs has been claimed, so Hitman: Absolution remains for $4.

SECOND EDIT: Both are gone.

I feel like such a fool for buying TR for $12.49, Sleeping Dogs for $12.49, and Hitman for $10.

Damn at the userscore for Gone Home being 49 on metacritic as compared to 89 for critics. Then again, I think scores are awful and don't really care much but the difference is interesting. And I'd wager for the negative towards the user side given the filth that pervades the site.

Edit: Oh my goodness at the steam forums for the game, homophobic garbage abound.

*That pervades all sites with user submitted reviews

People tend to be bad first before the sites involved.

Oh of course, people are awful everywhere, metacritic was just the site I happened to be on. Although the mass 0s given for big titles and exclusives, as well as the lack of any real requirement for a word count makes it so that there's a lot of laziness and garbage in the user score section.

I paid $35 alone for tomb raider and I thought that was a crazy deal. I must learn to wait. currently waiting for bioshock and saint's row to drop more.

Same here remember I grabbed it off of GMG.
Still I did play it at launch though which is my main goal. Nothing worse than playing close to full price and by the time you get some time to play it it's already had a cheaper sale. Happened to me with Remember Me and Aliens Colonial Marines as well as some others.

Thanks Amazon, now I'll never buy another game until it's in a bundle.

GMG: The Sega Action Pack is quite a nice deal once you use the code: GMG20-8MUTY-M21VN works out to £6.40 or £1.60 per game:

- Alpha Protocol
- Condemned Criminal Origins
- Aliens vs Predator Requiem
- Binary Domain

Played all of these on 360, worth it for PC? How much better is it on PC?
