I love MGS for having many ways of playthroughs, but better let it stay realistic, and MGS westernization (CODification or Battelfieldication) is worrying me, I don't care what the west casual public wants, I just want an equilibrated MGS.

There are definitely some thing that concern me about what we've seen/heard so far. I can't help but feel that they may be inching toward the Capcom route of paying too much attention to western gaming trends and not to the fact that they basically control the direction of the stealth genre (much in the same way that Capcom controls survival horror). But that specific demo seemed fine for the most part.

That daytime footage looks incredibly fun. Reminds me a of all the crazy shit that would go on when playing the Mercenaries franchise.

Is that the same guy from the Playstation booth, or is blue jacket, fedora and bowtie just the uniform for interviewers at TGS?
 
The problem with upgraded shooting mechanics is that there is a chance that they will rely on them too much. If you look at MGS4, you couldn't even use most of your moveset outside of shooting in a very large portion of the game (Acts 3 and 4)
 
interesting.. it is recorded, but the buttons shown are xbox one, does it look any different? This is the same exact playthrough from the ps4.

It's not just the same footage with the prompts changed, all three have actually been different playthroughs. That part where he gets spotted, tranqs the guard and then throws his body at the next guy happens differently in all three, but otherwise the player is taking the exact same route every time. They've obviously been practising for months to give the perfect demo.

I wonder what's next.
 
Daytime mission again. It'll be interesting to see how closely the player can stick to the plan with this one; seems like there's much more room for things to get out of hand.

It's the same route different versions, reason I say that is because on the PS4 version in the night time mission; the part where he throws the guard, it is to the right of the fella standing up. This time around he throws the guard onto the other towards the left and it actually manages to hit his body this time.

Don't worry, it will be exactly the same. What is the purpose of a sandbox settings if you gonna always follow the same route or plan?
