WHERE DID YOU GET THESE ARG

It's Kid Icarus Uprising all over again... again
English dub is amazing for anybody who grew up watching cartoons and shit like Power Rangers. Absolutely zero desire to switch to the Japanese dialogue as the English speaking cast 100% nail the kind of game it is.
The GEATHJERK generals and the overlord are probably my favorite outside the Guyzoch.

They're from Platinum's twitter.

I think they were for some competition. Or they were made by someone, for the competition.

FINALLY figured out how to beat the Vorkkie fights...

...
send in team morphs with X then run like hell

I don't know if it's the correct way, but I lost less lives doing it this way

Yep.
I tried japanese voices in my third playthrough through some of the levels. It was really meh.

If you want a really cheap way to cheese through the Vorkken fights on Normal, and couldn't give two shits about score, just
use whatever item it is that lets you fire rockets from above aimed with the GamePad. If you don't use them often you'll have built up a huge reserve, and they do a crazy amount of damage. You can activate it and spam rockets at Vorkken's group and he'll be killed in seconds.

I'd like to think that by not using them I can retain some level of pride..

..but I'll remember that for the next play through ;)

Stumbled upon something really funny before (achievement/secret related spoiler).
In 007 I rolled into one of those holes that shoot air upwards using Unite Ball, and the ball plugged the hole and then got launched sky high. Got a piece of heart and an achievement for it.

Errr well yeh of course we want to see it, i know i am. But its probably hidden behind some bullshit 'get pure platinum all game' shit right?

Secret Characters:

Wonder Scarf: Alice. Uses Unite Whip, but with the ability to potentially freeze enemies like Wonder White.

Wonder Captain: Old Nelson. Gives you ability to use Unite Drill like his part, but unlike his younger form his Unite Drill is always on fire.

Wonder Gramps: Shirogane. Uses Unite Bomb. Not as damaging but has a longer slow effect than traditional users.

Chewgi: Naginata just like in 007-A

Immorta: Gallactic Federation Police, Special Weapons, Tactics and Investigation Team, Sector S451219, Immorta. Uses Bowgun just like after she joins up with you in 006.

Wonder Daddy: Will Wedgewood's father. Uses unite claws that are always on fire.

Wonder Future: Young Will Wedgewood. Only capable of producing the smallest Unite Hand.(ANNOYING when he pops up when your main Unite Hand leader is unavailable)

Wonder-Red (Emeritus): Young Nelson. Pompadour and all.

Wonder Goggles: Luka from Epilogue.

Wonder Director: I'll post the guide description since it's so amusing: A mysterious, impossibly powerful superhero from another time and place, dressed for action and unable to dredge up even the smallest hints of mercy to grant to any form of evil. Even those who would dare to so much as make a snide comment over the Internet will find themselves crushed by forces beyond mortal comprehension.

He uses Unite Goggles like Luka, but while they aren't as strong has Luka's, the fire much longer lasting beams. Also Wonder Director can only sustain a single hit as Leader before you have to use a continue. Wonder Director demands perfection!!!

Poseman: A masked hero from points unknown. Uses Unite Hand that is always on fire.

Wonder Rodin: From Bayonetta. Able to use combos with his Unite Hammer.

Wonder Jeanne: Uses a white Unite Sword that is always coated in electricity. Also able to use Hero Time as Leader without the Custom Block being equipped.

Wonder Bayonetta: Uses Unite Gun. Guide doesn't specify anything special about it but there has to be more to it. Also like Jeanne, is able to use Hero Time as leader without the Custom Block.

I'd like to have a list of the unlock conditions for those, since some of the bottle caps are "secret" or whatever.

I know that some of the ones for the characters that
are playable during specific points during the campaign
require bottle caps that
usually involve doing something with said character, like reflecting bacteria with naginata is a requirement for Chewgi
. Granted, those tend to not be secret achievements.

Somewhat off-topic, but it is P* related. I was thinking about Bayonetta 2 today and it's potential release date...anyone else think it's a lock for the first three months of 2014?

Nintendo's other 2014 games like X, Smash, and Mario Kart are all April and later. Zelda U as well. First three months is gonna have Yarn Yoshi and...? Gotta have something to break up this parade of colorful platformers.

Plus, they've been developmenting Bayonetta 2 for pretty much two years at this point, from early 2012 when Nintendo saved all the work that had already been done, to 2014. They already have the engine and core game design concept down. I just feel like that's gonna be arriving sooner rather than later next year.

I think it's going to be a latter half of the year game simply because they don't want a repeat of W101 and want more people owning the system after Mario Kart and other games to be able to buy it. The game will only sell out of the gate and won't sit on store shelves for long before retailers firesale/remove it, so they have to make sure to maximize its sales and recoup its cost immediately.

I just played through the first level of the full game, and it definitely felt better than playing the demo level. I bought the game when it was released, but ended up getting Mass Effect 3 at the same time, and playing through it first. Twice. That's how disappointing the W101 demo was...

Eh that's alot to type out.

I'll take a few requests but I don't want to type out the whole book.

Well, I meant if anyone happened to know where to find a list of them somewhere on the internet since the game has been out for weeks now in Europe, but ok. :p How about just the ones that unlock
Luka
. Because I'm pretty close to doing that already.

Also, do you know what's up with the hidden custom blocks? Apparently finishing the game and buying them all doesn't unlock them all.

I wish, but I'm thinking Mario Kart 8 will dominate the early part of the year, and Bayonetta 2 will arrive in the second half.

artwork uploaded by PlatinumGames - kinda spoils the last boss. looks awesome.

I don't doubt that Bayonetta 2 is well over half finished now. Nintendo usually only let the public try games when they're about 8-6 months away from release or sooner, so it's quite likely we'll have it early next year, summer at the latest, unless for some reason Nintendo wants to hold it back after it's gold like they apparently did with W101.

Holy fucking SHIT

Oh. lol

I think there are people working on comprehensive online guides, but I don't think there's 1 place for all of them yet.

Try gamefaqs boards.

If there really isn't one I'd be a little more motivated to get it done. Just give me until the end of the day.

How about just the ones that unlock
Luka
. Because I'm pretty close to doing that already.

To get him you need:

#1: Complete the Prologue
#39: Repel 10 attacks using Unite Guts
#56: Use Wonder Liner to activate Unite Morph 100 times
#67: Obtain 3 special Unite Morphs
#97: Find all Kahkoo-Regah in the Epilogue
#100: Complete a giant robot
boxing match
without taking damage.

Let me know if I missed one. They way the table is set up is listing the bottlecaps in numerical order. With the character they go towards unlocking being listed on the far right. So I'm sort of scanning that column for that character while looking through the caps in order.

Also, do you know what's up with the hidden custom blocks? Apparently finishing the game and buying them all doesn't unlock them all.

You're probably missing Full Automatic and Infinite Energy

The first is unlocked in the store by completing the Prologue on Very Easy/Easy while the 2nd will be available for purchase after you complete Operation 101

ahahaha I said goddamn when I typed out that one

Just redeemed by e-guide. Makes searching these tables so much more convenient.

I'll do the rest in a couple hours when I sit down to get some work done. Want to go play a bit myself first.

A lot of the special achievements don't specify difficulty, so they're fairly easy to knock out if you're accustomed to the game on higher difficulty levels. Very easy feels like slow motion after a certain point.

Funny thing is that Bayo 2 gif is from what is probably one of the first, if not the first, levels from the game.

None of these games aside from Mario Kart have narrowed down release windows. Mario Kart is Spring. That is all we know. For all we know X could come out January 1st (it won't but it could since we have nothing other than 2014 to go by). Yarn Yoshi isn't even 2014, I think it's still TBD officially.

So yeah uhhh

Hero Counter + Hammer wrecks fucking turtles.

Instead of trying to Unite Guts the paws, I just Hero Counter them and it instantly forms a really large unite morph. Just start going ham until they do it again which then again reforms a large hammer and can sometimes cancel the recovery of the previous hammer swing allowing you to immediately do another.

You can also parry the other turtles head which only makes your offense stronger

Only move you have to watch out for is the magma geyser.

God damn I'm so glad I never have to try during those encounters again.

So damn satisfying to discover.

yeah, I'm looking forward to going back to encounters with new skills. I just learned you could use the bomb to stop the spiky guy's rolling attack. It's nice to see those kind of details since they reward the player for actually thinking.

The E3 demo made it appear that the game is quite far along. Nintendo HAS to have something before Mario Kart in April, right? They just can't afford not to. But they could still be arrogant enough to think Mario and DK will hold them over for over four months. Yarn Yoshi, X, Smash, SMTxFE, and Zelda will not be ready. It is either Bayonetta 2, something they haven't released yet, or nothing. Perhaps with TW101 done, a big chunk of TW101 team, perhaps even Kamiya himself will be working on the game full time now to speed up the final stages of development. I would love a late January or February release, but knowing Nintendo they'll release it at the end of March two weeks before Mario Kart comes out. They have always been horrible at spacing their releases out.

I finally got some time to play and just finished up Operation 2. This game is everything I had hoped so far. I was worried about the controls after hearing all the complaints, but I've yet to encounter any difficulties myself. I actually find drawing the shapes to be really fun

Am I the only one who didn't have any problems with the loading?

For reference, I have the digital version. But it doesn't take longer than most of the games usually take, at least, it doesn't take long for it to become noticeable to me.
