I got your point, but in case of PS4/X1, each side is still searching for evidences to prove their stance, while it's a consensus that PC will always be better than even the next-next gen of consoles.
So we have this article that states that PS4 will be 1080p while X1 is TBD, and yet the first post was about PC?!

Get used to it on Xbone. Maybe someone can correct me if I am wrong, but as far as I know Forza 5 is the only retail game that is announced to be actually running at 1080p on XB1, including exclusives.

Yep, I think Forza 5 is the only exclusive running at 1080p on X1, not sure about DR3.
The Xbox One can run games at native 1080p, but there's many things that developers would have to work around inside the console in order to reach that resolution, such as with the eSRAM & with the Move Engines.
It's very easy to get Native 1080p for PS4 because it's development process is straightforward. Plus that extra GPU power inside the PS4 also helps out a lot.

DR3 may be a variable resolution but the reports on that may have just been rumors.
AFAIK only Forza is confirmed 1080p, though it seems obvious games like Minecraft would also be 1080p

The difference is that PC has, always has, and will continue to be graphically superior. It's a given. PC hardware iterates much more often than the 5-10 year consoles do.
Within the console space, it's still up in the air as to whether or not devs are going to take the time to take advantage of the more powerful PS4 or code to the lowest common denominator (Xbox).

Examiner's source has confirmed correctly that XBOne would be getting an upclock while at the same time dismissing that it will have 12GB RAM. Just as it was confirmed by MS a week or so later. His source is legitimate even though he gives a bit confusing answers sometimes.
And it was a completely innocuous post in the first place.
