I see a blue dot on my screen. Get out the car, can't find for the person. Next thing I know, I'm being tazered. My screen goes black and I wake up in my underwear, on the train tracks with a train coming at me.

This happened in Sandy Shores.
This sounds amazing

I recall on GTA IV, if you managed to get a cop watch you get punched by an NPC, the cops would arrest the NPC, get him on the police car and drive away.

However, I've tried many times to do this on GTA V, and it ALWAYS results on the NPC getting shot to death by the cops. They never arrest any of the NPC's, they kill them.

Haven't had much time to play, but noticed a few things:

Cops are much more rare on the street, compared to GTA 4, but when you do see them it's often when they are pursuing criminals (other than you) or hiding on the side of the freeway, as if looking for drunk drivers / speeding.

Dialog changes often, especially when repeating a mission or doing a variation based on choice. Also, having done certain missions before others has resulted in the inclusion of references of those missions by some of the characters. Noticed this when my friend was going through the same mission and the dialog was the same except for a reference to an earlier experience.

Also, as long as you don't have any stars, you can switch between characters and this has led to me and my friends trying to get away with more and more before switching. I managed to get thrown out of my car as Franklin during a head-on car crash just as the camera floated above and began zooming out. We also got some heat from at least 10 or more gangsters who suddenly wanted to kill us so we switched characters as the gunfight broke out.

You can interact with npcs? what?

Press Right on the D-pad.

I'm sure it's been mentioned before, but NPC's seem to react to the clothing you are wearing or something. I bought some ridiculous clothes for Trevor (Which included the "Pussycat" top) and some pink glasses. When I got out to the street some people started commenting on them. One woman in particular told me I looked ridiculous or something.

Also, when Trevor is wearing nothing but his underwear, people will look at him and comment on how twisted or sick he is.

I also saw a cougar attacking and killing a bunch of tourists on the forest/mountain.

Was driving a cop car and I hit a person during a chase, noticed later that there was a blood smear running down the side of the car. Only seen it happen one time.

Swore I saw a person dressed as Waldo as I was driving around. I waited to long to turn around and double check, it could have just been a random hipster in a red and white striped shirt.

Trevor while fighting enemies in
the homeless/tent people underpass
yelling "your messing up someone's home you animals"

I've never seen a cop car just driving around the streets like normal traffic. If I ever see a cop car without having a star on me it's either from a random speed trap I come across where a cop car's parked in a convenient spot to monitor traffic (I've never seen them go after anyone though) or if it's a random chase going on with another vehicle.

I don't think I've seen many cops on foot either. Despite this extreme lack of police presence in the state they seem to know every time I punch a civilian and pursue me with relentless effort almost every time.

Don't know if posted, the rain and how textures get gradually wet until puddles form on the surfaces of things.

A couple of switching-to-Trevor moments...

Trevor shouting at a busker "Why don't you learn to play saxophone!" before smashing his acoustic guitar over his head.

Trevor shouting at a body builder by the beach "What are you doing in my underwear!" before getting into a fight with the guy.

Trevor in bed next to Wayne (or is it Duane?) who's in his pajamas in a fetal position crying.

Trevor is one sick puppy.

Got one the other day where he's passed out on a small island somewhere on the north side of the map, surrounded by dead bodies and wearing a dress.

I noticed the same thing while playing yesterday. The cop presence is practically zero until you look at someone the wrong way. Not sure why they cut down on the amount of cops you see on the street.

I've seen them on the highway, desert, and the northern end of the map a fair bit. There are even park services cars that I've seen driving around the mountain/forest trails. Weirdly enough, I haven't seen any in downtown LS except ones that are already chasing NPCs or me.

I did run into a few cops just driving with traffic. Both the black LS ones and the white cop cars. Almost crashed into one while air-born and grazed another near the military base, which is where I drove into afterwards in an attempt an escape with the jet. No luck.

Also saw the one I previously mentioned, which crept up on me and some gangsters near Franklin's house, as well as cops responding to my own 9-11 calls (and other emergency vehicles using the phone).

If you're in the mountains and you set off an explosion you hear the echo after the first boom. It's amazing.

I had one with Trevor driving the motorway in polo-neck on a scooter with someone else just constantly shouting scooter brothers.

edit: holy shit, apparently its a reference to this video!

Blown away! The amount of details in GTAV is insane.

Who paid you to grab Dr. Pavel?
One I just noticed was guys with leafblowers cleaning up the golf course in the morning. The sprinklers are on too.

The attention to detail in this game is insane! Noticed a few neat things during my playthrough.

Spinning your tires for too long will actually burn all the rubber off the tire, and wear it down to the rims.

Searching for "hush" in the phone browser will bring up hushsmush.com, an adult dating site. It costs $500 dollars to browse the site, and you can
request people. I don't think you actually get a response though. Micheal's wife is a member.
I went back on after completing "Reuniting the Family", and she wasn't on there anymore.

The Knife has a lot of different stab moves. I've seen side stabs, throat stabs, face slashing and throat slashing.

Another Trevor one

Standing in the outdoor gym shouting "are you saying I have to shave my back to join this gym?" Then getting attacked by two bodybuilders.

Switching to Michael in his home standing in the bathroom shouting at the mirror telling himself to get it together

This is probably part of why I've only been "busted" once in this game and that was voluntary because I actually wanted to get to the police station but couldn't remember where it was.

But you really have to try to not get killed by the cops because they're definitely a "shoot first" organization in this game.

Interactions with the cops are either "escape" or "die". There's rarely any "busted".

1star= Arrest
1+ stars = Shoot to kill

I had this. Was there a VW-camper type vehicle at the blue dot?

Sometimes when two enemies are aiming at you, and you shoot one of them, the other one will drop his aim and look at his friend for just a second. Almost like he was thinking :"Oh shit no! Are you OK?!"

One of the most realistic and unexpected things I've seen in a shooter in a long while.

I haven't confirmed that it's consistent, but after I put on my helmet and crashed my motorbike it didn't hurt. Safety first.

In past games, if they pulled you out of the car you'd be arrested no matter how many stars -- is that no longer the case?

Actually, in past games could they even shoot you inside the car? Seems like you're far more likely to get shot before your car explodes etc, whereas in past games it was like playing hot potato with exploding cars.

Yea I'm convinced the damage is reduced a ton if you have the helmet on. I've been thrown from my bike without one and died instantly. Not sure if anyone has tested this theory.

I had a mission for Franklin's female friend who does the tow truck thing, and instead of going to her as Franklin, I went to her as Michael. Michael and her had a conversation where Michael asked if she had any success being a prostitute, and they playfully jabbed back and forth.

What an amazing detail. It wasn't a cutscene, I just walked past her and she started talking, and Michael started talking back.

Creaking

He touched the black heart of a mod
I was riding a bicycle as Franklin in the mountains near the coast, and out of nowhere, three hicks on ATV's pulled up and started harassing me. I killed them before they got violent and Franklin said, "Crazy-ass hillbillies!"

I love these little events.

In Trevor's truck there is a CB radio. The trucker conversations it picks up are pretty damn funny.

Also, fire discharged from the exhaust of a fast car will ignite gas trails. AMAZING.

Someone popped upon the map while I was driving. It was a lady screaming That her friend was getting beat by her boyfriend and she wanted help.I hopped out the car and followed her to the back of the house thinking to myself that this was probably a setup. It was but i was able to kill the guys that hopped out.

Later on as I was playing I saw a different lady yelling for help saying her friend was having a heart attack. I hopped out and followed her but this time i pulled out my gun before we got to her friend just to be safe. When we got to her friend she yelled "Oh shit he's got a gun, Its a bust lets get out of here."

blew my mind

I accidentally blew up my own car while driving this way. Had been in a shoot-out with the cops and was making my getaway. Little did I know my gas tank had been hit and was pouring a gas trail after me and then my turbo exhaust kicked in and set the car and the trail on fire. Had to throw myself out, car blew and there was a fire streak on the ground moving slightly away as it lit up in reverse. :p

I got my tires popped and had been messing about with the Jerry can not too long before, when i had a crazy idea that maybe the sparks from my blown out wheels could light the fuel.

It works...

There's tons:

- The shoulder "ribbing" or whatever that is called, on the highway... Complete with rumble + noise. Games just don't do that.
- The fact that ladders work. I think GTAV is the only game to ever get ladders working and not be frustrating.
