I can see why they weren't quite ready to debut this yet. That jump animation...yikes.

Well, to be fair, phrases like "pre-alpha" have been adopted as marketing buzzwords by a lot of publishers. This, however, appears to be a case of a game build being genuinely considered an alpha build internally. Considering how they were able to adjust so much stuff with the combat rebalance mods, I don't doubt they'll fix up the animation for the final game.

Original point and meat of my posts is that TW2 has horrible dithering. Which it does, there is no denying this. I said in my second Skyrim doesn't have great shadows.


Also, not much difference between ubersampling and tweaking an .ini for better shadows. ENB has nothing to do with shadow resolution, but again, that was not the point.


Why is it that you can't say something is wrong with TW2 without it becoming a Skyrim vs TW dickwaving contest?

The day this game launches is the day I go next gen, and I will beblowing a huge hole in my wallet by doing so. But, for CDP it's worth it.

The environment does look pretty damn impressive doe, even with that low reso, shaky cam shit.

It is legit (pre-)alpha.

Our site just received a mail from their pr team and it's obvious they're quite frustrated with this leak. It's shitty quality and its not something they want their game attached to. That's pretty much their words in the mail. They also said their fans deserve more.

How can they release gameplay if they're still in alpha? I know there's a huge demand for TW3 gameplay (the devs know this too) but this is not the way to show it to the public. It's unfinished, it was recorded on a shaky cam and it gives gamers a wrong image of the game.

Do you think CDPR isn't releasing gameplay because they don't want to? I'm pretty sure they can't release any gameplay at this stage because they want to show us footage where everything is finalised. No unfinished animations or graphics. It's not like they have a publisher telling them to not release gameplay.

Again, I know a fair share of GAF is already satisfied by this footage... but yeah, devs want to make sure everything is complete.

This so much this.

Also in our demo the Horse acted like it come straight out of Red Dead sometimes and was all wanky etc.

That just gives the wrong impressing to everyone outside of the prof industry who does not understand that pre alpha even means.

I know it's alpha, but hopefully they'll do something about that gigantic health bar & those wonky animations.

Definitely not public ready but man am I excited as hell for this. The shaky bootleg cam footage looked pretty decent.

Yep, I saw similar stuff. Especially the small freezes and wanky animations were obvious.

Also, it was like the game was running at a pretty low res. There was something off.

And yes, I was referring to the PC versions, both of which I have played maxed out with in the past week. TW2 less than 12 hours ago...


The Witcher 2 on PC has HORRIBLE shadow dithering that is made somewhat tolerable by ubersampling..

Yeah I just launched the game and took a screenshot, never had that dithering bug in TW2, could be hardware specific or setting specific, also not using ubersampling in that shot.

I saw demo yesterday and it ticks what excites me in next-gen games - the wind and all the physics it enables. I dont know though if trees are moved by wind physics or just animations in W3, but it made scene so alive. Also art is very good, especially use of colors.

Didn't really want to make a thread for this, but just wanted to say CDPR fucking rocks, they sent me a free shirt in the mail all the way from Poland (I'm in Florida) just for praising how good the game looked in the leaked footage.

They took that as me helping them quell the leaks :p

CD Projekt in general is an amazing company. Everything they touch is gold, be it The Witcher, GOG, or Cyberpunk 2077. My only concern is that they're publicly traded so they're vulnerable to the investor bullshit that has sunk so many others.

I keep saying it, this is the game that will push both systems to their brink and then we will really know how much of a disparity there is between the two. CDPR wont give in the political reasons and parity.

In CDPR I trust.
