It seems pretty dangerous to your ears to put a helmet like that on so quickly.

I hear so many complaints about the controller(bumpers specifically) that it's almost unreal

not saying conspiracy or anything crazy but how could ms fuck up that one aspect so badly?

They were the weakest part of the 360 controller minus the dpad, and they made em worse?

Seems crazy

I hate Xbox One for all the rational reasons as well

Erm, hate, like love, is not rational. ;)

My impressions of the tour are actually quite similar as those in the OP, although maybe not as negative. The gaming experience of next gen will be very similar from the current gen indeed, and I haven't seen anything mindblowing then. I did see good games though, and am still glad I'm getting a new console soon. But for me, the excitement for the Xbox One lies a lot in its general environment (multitasking, kinect commands, ...), kinect games as a second reason, and traditional games only as third. It's also the reason I'm not too interested in PS4 right now, because it's lacking points 1 and 2.

The complaints are beginning to pile up about the controller. Lots of people saying the triggers are kinda strange, and the bumpers are not quite right. Very curious to see how this pans out at launch.

Same. One thing I have heard from multiple people are the analogs being smaller, as the OP stated. One person described they had an almost "Vita" like feel to them. The shorter the analogs - the less precision there is since you have a far more limited movement with the head.

Another is that the shoulder buttons and triggers are right on top of one another without spacing - both following the same line so accidental shoulder button hitting happens more often than it should.

This will be interesting, indeed. I liked the 360 controller and even for PC - my wired 360 controller was my go-to. Felt fucking great.

I'm sorry but I've seen your posts, and I personally cannot take your opinions on stuff like this very seriously. Can't speak for others though.

Not noticing the graphics improvements will be a problem for most people at road shows etc..

If you put Forza 4 next to Forza 5 you would notice the differences ALOT more.

Well, I didn't get much of a positive impression out of my time with the Xbox. One positive thing to note are the impulse triggers: They were utilized to great effect in Forza 5. It was great to "feel" the brakes with my finger.
I think impulse triggers are going to be a bigger deal innovation-wise then we realize.
Triggers with modifiable resistance settings have application beyond just driving games.

Shame that the rest of the controller experience is coming up short.

OP have you seen the PS4 in person? What are your thoughts on those games?

Or the latest Ryse trailer? Did it not look comparable to that in person or something?

I had a chance to play, and really the controller felt the same as the 360 controller to me. The only noticable difference for me was the rumble in the triggers, but everything else felt exactly the same in my books. Which to me isnt a bad thing. I immediately felt comfortable with it.

you must not have seen titanfall.

Have you seen it? If you did you would have seen titanfall, after you have seen it.

Wouldn't be surprised if he didn't even play the Xbox one. From what i've heard FIFA and BF4 are not available on the tour. Most people love the controller. Checked post history....im out
