Rotosxoping looks like ass, characters look like idiots and sorry but the mood came quite better by reading the manga than watching it.
If you need music or something to get in the mood and get the feeling of the scenes then yes maybe it was better( givem that you can handle that awful rotoscoping)

I'll re-read One-shots or short, single volume series on a whim if i'm in the bathroom or something. Re-reading anything longer than 5 volumes though is a massive undertaking, and I wonder if my time would be better focused on progressing forward in stuff I want to read (ie, i'm about 300 chapters into One Piece)

No-one needs music to get "into the mood" but the sound design absolutely elevated the source material.

I actually managed to find a physical copy around here, hardcover no less, so I've been re-reading this.

It hasn't exactly hit me before, but my god, Amir is such an amazing character. How I did not adore this caring, energetic, subtly playful and occasionally needlessly worrying tomboy from the first chapters before is a mystery. I only started loving the series when Smith and the twin sisters got their own stories

Oh yeah. Loving the art? It's honestly breathtaking. There were times when I turned the page, but had to go back just to stare at the art. The detail, especially in the clothing, is incredible.

Well, the most recent example I can remember is recommending the Anime for Hataraku Maou-sama after reading ~5 or so chapters for the awful manga.

The only one that's particularly bad in the anime is the glasses girl. Whoever they picked to rotoscope just was not a good choice though, her actual model wasn't that bad looking as I recall. She just didn't translate well is the problem.

Cross Manage (special chapter)

Well it was different than what I expected a bonus chapter in a sports series to be, barely any lacross at all. I think KAITO did do well in pleasing us Wakamoto fans, he had the best pages and panels, and his hair being down and blown back in the fan were good touches. Probably and easily the series best product. Teruki too was a good character to have and best comedy moments and best female character design 2013 getting a panel was hilarious. Somehow I kind of miss Cross Manage a bit, good run at the end of the day.

And yes I blame mostly the rotoscoping and the different character models. The sound design is good but can't help to get me appreciate the setting while what I see is absolute dogshit.

Personally am one of the few people that prefer the ugly weird character rotoscop design in the anime to the decent manga ones but on the other hand but the direction in the anime is absolutely trash which makes the anime an awful adaptation.

I don't care what those idiot anime fans say, when even the first episode is padded with same recycled ugly scene of random bystander walking back and forth from school then direction is at an all time low,thanks to that even paceing is so awful the first episode only covers 1/3 of the uneventful first chapter, the serise goes on to montage through the best bits in the manga in the later episode.

Those anime fans are full of shit and couldn't tell good direction if it slap them in the face.
