Is there an obvious option I am missing. If I start a voice chat through steam people can hear me, but I can't hear them.

Huh. Enemy Unknown has steam cloud.
Can you right-click on it in your library and check if Steam Cloud sync is enabled in the Updates tab?

I'm not saying it does not have, just asking how can we know which ones do have the option. I have the option you mention checked but it says there's 0 bytes/100 MB Available, guess I may have messed up with something way back when I first played or something. Just for curiosity, Batman AA does not have this option so I believe that, in order for me to see if there game have such option I just need to click one the tab you mentioned. Thanks!

If you switch to List View a little cloud icon appears opposite titles which support Steam Cloud, and you can click the cloud tab to sort the list accordingly, but not every such game uses it for saves -- Rage, for example, just stores its config file.

Thank you too!

Is what this should read.

I'm glad people are having a chance to add some white whales to their library but if it were me I'd pick up ghostbusters over riddick.

I already beat ghostbusters so I'm not going to bother.

You fucking what? Escape from Butcher Bay is one of the best games ever made, regardless of the source material. How can you even fucking comment on this when you haven't played the game?

I'm ready

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
Alright so one week from today I'll be participating in the Extra Life gaming marathon on behalf of Enhanced Steam users everywhere.

I've chosen 20 games to play for 25 hours straight based on the criteria of a) I've never played the game before and b) it has achievements. I'm going to try to play every game on the list during the 25 hours, but obviously I won't be able to beat them all. Just trying to expand my gaming horizons while raising money for a great cause.

Here is the list:

  • Alan Wake
  • Bioshock 2
  • The Cave
  • Darksiders II
  • Deponia
  • Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut
  • Dishonored
  • Game Dev Tycoon
  • Ittle Dew
  • Mark of the Ninja
  • Puzzle Quest 2
  • RAW - Realms of Ancient War
  • Red Faction: Armageddon
  • Resident Evil Revelations
  • Reus
  • Sacred Citadel
  • Sonic Generations
  • Star Trek
  • The Testiment of Sherlock Holmes
  • Torchlight

I'll also be streaming live on my channel on Twitch! I tested the setup last night and it seemed to be working well. :)

Thanks everyone for your support!

Should I just get System Shock 2 now? If it's 75% off during the halloween sale I'd only be saving like 40p.

Yes. It's worth getting at full price, so the price of a loaf of bread won't matter.

2 stealth "daily" discounts in the Deep Silver sales:
Line Rider 2 and Rush for Berlin Gold

How did you go with Top Gun?

I forgot I don't have an optical drive in my PC. :p Going to try later this afternoon on my son's computer.

Going to run a 10k first though :) I'll let you know.

Yes, it's an excellent game. Like better than most FPS these days and you can easily see how most of the shooters these days still draw inspiration from it (even if they draw inspiration that from some games that took their inspiration from SS2 before)

Played through Gone Home.

I thought it was too sweet, too happy for its own good. It was interesting to see the story unravel, but it turns out to be plain and ordinary in the end. A plot has to have something more that "teenage sexuality struggle" in it to be truly engaging, in my opinion at least. It also was fairly obvious from the beginning what the whole thing was about. I do appreciate the '90s culture aspect of it and the form they chose to convey their plot (although some of the notes came off as as really unnatural).

Started DmC. Game looks good, but I'm not feeling it much. The stage changing while moving around is cool though.

Just wait until you get to the color coded enemies.

Then install a mod that fixes that problem and the game goes from "trash that needs to be burned." To "trash as a Devil May Cry. Mediocre as an action game."

Looking for suggestions of good games where you move up vertically, any genre and not 2D. Perhaps finish either on top of a tower, climbed a mountain, top floors of a skyscrapper, something. Perhaps the opposite of AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!!. I just want the sense of going upward.

Might as well play Minecraft.
What's the point altering a game like that? I always shake my head when I read things like this, but to each its own.

Devil May Cry never had color coded enemies. You were able to ALWAYS use whatever weapon you wanted to continue a combo.

Now Donte Must Cry FORCES you to use one weapon on specific enemies. Even the NEUTRAL weapons like Rebellion or Ebony and Ivory are blocked. How is that good design?

It gets annoying REAL FAST when you're using Angel weapons for crowd control against 5 neutral enemies and then one Angel/Demon weapon enemy pops up and screws your combo.

That mod fixes that issue. No longer will you have to break combo to continue to style on enemies. It fixes one of the numerous gashes on the face of the game.

? Color coded enemies limit your combos and moveset, it's boring because there aren't enough combat variety with only 1 set of demon/angel weapons, I otherwise wouldn't mind it, but it gets pretty dull and boring to have a restriction especially that demon weapon's moveset is a lot duller than previous games' weapons, it doesn't add much especially in a dmc game with the design philosophy of trying different play styles and mix and matching.
