Serious Sam is a wicked gahbidge series for chowdaheads.
Would someone for the love of god please tell me more about this Seartchktchktcxhka Ronan person?

Anyone having problems with Warband?

The game crashes after the intro.

I searched the Steam forums for a solution, but they did not work.

Re-installed and nothing.

Thanks.

Damn, Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is really short. Beat it in less than three hours. Really enjoyed the game, but I'm glad I didn't buy it at full price.

Also, the feels. :(

I was expecting this to be sitting in my wishlist for at least another year. Big, big thanks to CheesecakeRecipe and Bii for helping me get this and Ghostbusters.

Devil May Cry never had color coded enemies. You were able to ALWAYS use whatever weapon you wanted to continue a combo.

Now Donte Must Cry FORCES you to use one weapon on specific enemies. Even the NEUTRAL weapons like Rebellion or Ebony and Ivory are blocked. How is that good design?

It gets annoying REAL FAST when you're using Angel weapons for crowd control against 5 neutral enemies and then one Angel/Demon weapon enemy pops up and screws your combo.

That mod fixes that issue. No longer will you have to break combo to continue to style on enemies. It fixes one of the numerous gashes on the face of the game.

You get hit a bunch and it restarts your progress, how is that good design! I'm a game designer, so I know if something is impeding my progress, it's clearly broken.

? Color coded enemies limit your combos and moveset, it's boring because there aren't enough combat variety with only 1 set of demon/angel weapons, I otherwise wouldn't mind it, but it gets pretty dull and boring to have a restriction especially that demon weapon's moveset is a lot duller than previous games' weapons, it doesn't add much especially in a dmc game with the design philosophy of trying different play styles and mix and matching.

Now imagine if there were multiple demon/angel weapons and you could swap them on the fly.

There are only 2 weapons for each, their movelist is pretty limited especially the demon weapons, angel weapons are fine, but the game shines when you combine all of those weapons together.

Getting hit doesn't impede your progress on damaging enemies.

Whereas having to switch weapons in the middle of a combo to attack one specific enemy does. It's poor design to cockblock a player from being able to continue a combo that they could in previous titles with no issues just to have them "switch on the fly" to a weapon they may not want to use.

I don't want to use the fist weapon on one specific enemy in the middle of five while I'm throwing the five in the air and juggling them with no issues.

How is it good design to get in the middle of said juggling five enemies to deal with one?

Getting hit stuns you and getting stunned impedes player progression. Games with health meters are broken, your nostalgia goggles are clouding your vision on the older games.

What is this DmC game people are complaining the dexterity required to swap weapons on the fly but is likewise immensely slowed down from the rest of the others in the series?

How is it good design to get in the middle of said juggling five enemies to deal with one?

To what extent? Is having collision too much of an issue because it gets in the way of combo patterns? Are decaying combo meters too much because they limit your spamming ability? Are red orb limits too much because they impede your ability to buy things? Are grappling length restrictions too much because I can't traverse the entirety of a room on a whim?

Its pretty bad.

Not, but it's evil.

I normally don't have trouble with DRM, but Tages didn't even allow me to start the game last I tried it. It directed me to some poorly supported website that looked like it was created a decade ago, where it made me jump through some hoops for a while.

Damn. That sounds pretty conclusive. Hope it's easy to remove once I've finished the game.

Dude, you're being EXTREME while missing the forest for the trees.

None of the things you're bringing up get in the way of combating masses of enemies like the color coded enemies do. If you can't see what most of us (and it's not just me and a few posters, it's an ENTIRE fanbase of old-school players that think this. Even Dahbomb hates the color-coded enemy combat design, and he's one of the most apologetic old-school players for Donte Must Cry) are saying, I dunno what to tell you.

The color-coded enemies impede and hinder combat. "Switching between red/blue on the fly" doesn't solve this. In fact it makes it even more apparent that it's an annoying mechanic that Ninja Theory or Capcom thought players would want to use.

No. Because the Demon weapons outright SUCK. With the exception of fists and the fists you don't want to use for crowd control on five enemies. So you're using angel weapons to crowd control and then get bounced by a demon that gets in the way of you mass-killing enemies so you can then deal with him. That's not fun and is poor design.

In what world does getting hit and stunned not affect your ability to defeat enemies? The fact that you're constantly referring to the enemies in question as either in the singular and a one off nuisance in the way of other business or in drones and mobbing you is incredibly telling. You're complaining about something without even knowing why you're mad at it. I'm breaking down your logic of "different = bad" and applying it to extremes of the most basic mechanics because, unless you're just failing to communicate it properly, it just comes off as picking up on any deviation from the original recipe as an automatic fault.

The color-coded enemies impede and hinder combat. "Switching between red/blue on the fly" doesn't solve this.

Maybe I just don't want to believe that somehow people comprehended something like the devil trigger, but a mechanic already inherent to combos is that much of an issue.

I'm now in the Family Sharing Beta

So if I have understood it correctly: I have to log into steam on family/friends computers and activate family sharing, and then they would have access to my library. Would that be correct?

Yeah, you need to log into your account on their computers and authorize them, and your library will show up when they log back onto their accounts.

I assume they have to participate in the beta too?

Well, it was nice, but I thought that the story didn't really live up to its full potential.
Eh, it made me feel a lot of different emotions, and the pictures it painted were more than vivid for me. Definitely worth experiencing for yourself (as long as you don't rush it or use a guide - is there even one?) in my book.

Also, final tally for the Hardware beta is 412.022 candidates?
That's not so bad! =p

If they are just accessing your library, they don't have to be in the beta, I think they need to update to the beta client though, because the family sharing button wasn't there when I logged onto my account on my friend's computer until I enabled beta update and restarted.

I never managed to get Ghostbusters. Ordered 4 times. Each one was cancelled.

Gamestop continues to be horrible.
