It honestly sounds to me like they are crying because they are not getting their review consoles as planned. Maybe they decided to send out the review consoles closer to launch but initially they were going to send them out early.

It would explain why some people in the press are upset: "I was looking forward to this weekend" for example. It would also explain why people are saying Xbox Reviews are being delayed. It's also a "stupid" reason as Gies said.

If that is the case, sorry guys, I don't feel bad for you. Guess you'll have to wait like the rest of us. At least you don't have to spend $500 plus tax on yours.

The X1 specs aren't that far behind the PS4's, right? I mean going from 1080 to 720 seems pretty drastic, especially for a COD game. What am I missing?

In computing hardware it's not just two numbers battling it out for processing power. There's important nuances in the way that hardware works that can impact areas of processing. I'm not massively knowledgeable on how it works, but the long and short of it is that the Xbox One's 32mb ESRAM is somewhat of a bottleneck for storing visual data. It's not that the Xbox One can't crank out fancy stuff, it's that doing so while rendering at 1920x1080 resolution is significantly more demanding than the same at 720p or 900p, and may in most cases be impossible due to ESRAM limitations.
