Hmmm... you know it does look like that could be the same thing, the base of monitor looks round but just cut off due to the zoom and it appears to have the same disc slot from the system under it to the left, and the monitor frame looks the same.
Edit: Nice.

I think this is very smart marketing on their part. Announce a few more games right at launch to really drive excitement through the roof!

My wish list-

Back from the dead and as peace offering/commitment to fans- Last Guardian

A revamped old school ip- Medievil, bloody roar, or jumping flash

Santa Monica project(s)- upgraded unfinished swan and journey added to ps4 plus stigs new game

To push more xboxers to the dark side- Gears or spin off of that ip (or new ip from epic exclusive to ps4 for similar effect)

Or some random game to fill the gap in ps catelog like a crazy kick ass 3d platformer (maybe fully revamped LBP) or a zelda-esq action rpg adventure game

Going to have to agree regarding this probably not having much big stuff. Big stuff would be announced earlier to get the hype going on so more people buy PS4s. Alternatively, since weeks 1/2/3 are probably going to be sold out, they may want to announce stuff late Dec or early Jan.

The only reason they might announce some big stuff now is that they might feel the VGAs are too far away and they might gain a lot of sales if they announce a few killer exclusives right around launch time. Give the consumer that extra little nudge towards the PS4 so they don't second guess themselves if they haven't preordered already.

Doubt it, Rein's likely just in Raleigh, definitely most have made similar on purpose. I mean the picture before this one, the rather official 'in-house' countdown timer, was just merely of a dev kit presumably on one of his many desks. This really does just begs the question though, to what end does their relationship actually extend to at this point? Obvious engine business aside and all.

What could Epic even have, theres 0% change its anything Gears related imo
If MS can buy Titanfall im sure they can pay to keep one of their premiere franchises off other consoles

Full sized definitely seeing more of a resemblance, it's all pinned on whether that (PS3 dev kit) in Adam's picture which cuts off before you can see if it's actual got tape like Mark's/Adam's theoretically does though.

Gears of War was an evolution of the things that Cliffy B liked about RE4 and it was a template for the third-person shooter that developers spent this generation iterating on. They may not have always matched the quality of the shooting mechanics, but they paired solid versions of them up with other elements.

There is nothing special about Gears. It's only it's shooting and that's worn thin. That's why Judgement is largely considered to be an uninspired work, with all it's leads moving on to more interesting projects before it even shipped. And when it shopped, it didn't even sell that well.

You're probably right that this isn't Gears, but that's because Gears isn't worth fighting over.

0% indeed. Sure would like to see them try it, EA's going to have enough explaining to do as it is after squandering all that addressable market and losing out on all those profits in the process. Probably won't even entertain another measly short term pay off, for what could be their ticket to easy street.

More like Fortnite. It was revealed at the VGAs and it was noticeably (at least to me) absent from the Xbox One reveal and MS' E3 presser, too. If Epic was in bed with them on that then I think we would've heard by now.

Plus, the game screams F2P, which Somy is very receptive to.

Same location indeed. Great find. The second image above all but confirms this. Potentially something from Epic then? Damn.....suddenly I'm 20x more excited!

I remember when I traded in DD2...I have no idea why, but because of that horrid life altering mistake I no longer trade or sell anything.

I see no reason why classics like DD and WO couldn't be handled by smaller, more budget teams. Such an approach would help keep them to their roots, IMO.

That and some screenshots, yeah. It's supposed to be a mix of like a horde mode and mine craft. The way Epic talks about it just screams F2P.

I was pretty sure it was the same location from the original images to be honest. Surprised no one mentioned the wall in the back, there's corners cut off in the exact same places.

Assuming that this is an "Epic" event. Do you think this could go beyond just one game? Something more along the lines of Sony moneyhatting Epic to get UE4 working well on the ps4? Opening the door for all future UE4 titles.

I'd honestly much, much rather have something fresh with Fortnite than yet another Gears. I barely played Gears 3 and couldn't be bothered to check out Judgment.

The PC exclusive talk went on forever though? I can't exactly remember if that was pre-reveals our not either, I guess that could drastically change some things nonetheless.

The leaked gameplay didn't scream F2P exactly, makes total sense I guess if they don't want it behind the golden wall.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Epic has also been quiet in the issue of ESRAM vs GDDR5, hardware parity and balance, etc. An exclusive epic title, even if timed, would definitely rustle some MS jimmies.
