Serious Sam is a wicked gahbidge series for chowdaheads.
thanks all...regarding blacklist will it be 50% off u think

You missed the Humble Store deal on Blacklist which had it at 50% off.

I think a similar price during the winter sale is probable, but probably only as a daily deal.

Odd. I placed the text file in the directory for SRIV but it still said I was playing it on my profile.

Edit: I don't have to place it anywhere different right?

Yeah, it just needs to be in the same folder as the SR4 exe. I should have noted that running the game from the Steam client will override the value in the file, which may explain why it didn't work in your case -- you need to run the executable from the installation folder.

Imagine sailing through the Atlantic from Boston up north to Newfoundland to secure a trade route. The clouds suddenly change and a storm brews. A blast of lightning strikes in the horizon and the growing waves make the mind uneasy. In the distance you see the outline of one...no two....THREE frigates coming to ensure your demise. As your crew ready your canons for battle, you look to your left to see an 80 foot wave approaching your ship. You order your men to brace for what will surely be a devastating rogue wave. It strikes and you let out a sigh of relief knowing that no one was wiped away, only to be suddenly reminded by an echoing blast of canon fire that three frigates are gunning for you.

BRACE. You receive a barrage of cannon fire from one of the frigates, but no one was hurt and you return fire. You begin to engage one frigate in what seems to be a cyclonic dance of death whilst trying to use the waves to protect you from the other two. But alas, you are hit by the other two frigates due to an unfortunate momentary clearing of waves.

Damage report. Your ship is still intact and fully capable, though only God knows for how much longer. The headwind is strong, slowing you down. You're open to another barrage. Direct hit. It's not looking good.

BRACE. An even larger rogue wave strikes. No casualties. Fire from all three frigates. Two connect, another is drowned in the waves. One more hit and you will surely parish.

Friendly fire. You narrowly manage to evade cannon fire from one of the distant frigates and it sets ablaze your dance partner. No complaints, but there are still two frigates to deal with.

Enough dancing, it's time to show them what it means to be an assassin. You ride the waves, taking advantage of their peaks to send them some presents. Hit after hit, another frigate will sleep with the fishes.

This is it. Sudden death. BRACE! The largest rogue wave yet at ninety feet begins to tower over you. Your vision floods, but the spirits smile upon you. You survived Earth's wrath, but she was not the only one seeking to do you harm.

Thunder. Lightning. Darkness. Headwinds strong. The large waves separate you two. Death lingers by your side, eager to cross out your name. Not today. Not today. One more hit. It all relies on who shoots first. Who shoots first. He shot first.

He shot first. You blink. The large waves deny. You shot second. The large waves permit. Death bows his head. You sail on.

This was my experience in Assassin's Creed 3 the other day. Naval battles are an absolutely fantastic experience. I still have not finished 3 yet, but I have number 4 that I'm eager to get to play on my PS3. It has provided me with one of my most memorable gaming experiences. I honestly don't know why I just wrote what I just wrote, but I don't feel like enough justice is done to this experience.

Stallion, you have my axe.

TL;DR, Assassin's Creed can be a memorable and fun experience. You should try it some time.
Man, this sounds amazing, and to be honest I was always curious about the naval battles in AC3. It's just that after AC2, I don't ever want to touch another game in this franchise again.

If it didn't have the regular stuff I'd probably get the game for cheap, but I don't feel like suffering through the main game just to experience a few naval battles

Yeah I did that as well :/

Odd, it works for me:

I tried experimenting with the trick earlier to see if I could get Steam to tell people I was playing Tintin, but it wouldn't take, haha.

Edit: Haha, oh god, one of my mates just messaged me on Steam to tell me that the chick in my avatar looks like a young Hilary Clinton. At least he now knows who Saoirse Ronan is!

I received my (supposedly) random keys. I own all of the games already, but selection isn't quite as bad as I was expecting:

I'm playing Agarest still and man i'm so glad I found a cheatengine script for it.
The game isn't that bad but i'm just not into the typical jrpg conventions of grinding and the like. This game if I wasn't cheating would be nothing but grinding.

Well, you aren't being fair here, TRPGs main gameplay point is actually "grinding". There is nothing else, or anything else is insignificant and I don't know any exceptions in fact. It's not really something that has to be avoided, it's what people like about them.

Maybe next time you'll get Wheelman.. Only one way to find out.

Haha, maybe after the Autumn Sale. :p

Well would you look at that. So it isn't five copies of Bad Rats after all.

Not too bad!
You got those for 5 euros? Not that bad.
So, one game that hasn't been in a bundle? Actually I'm surprised it was even that many.

Yeah, the inclusion of Sleeping Dogs was a nice surprise.

Thanks for the giveaway Jase! The odds were never really going to be in your favour with those random keys though, I imagine non-bundled games will be a rarity!

Just done 5 random games myself after JaseC's little giveaway. I'm sure there'll be a couple of things to giveaway myself now.

Hope I don't get anything good in a way, otherwise I get randomly addicted to games of 'chance' like this.

So, what's the deal with obsession over Wheelman. If not Jasec, I wouldn't even know such a game exists (><)

I'm not sure I follow, there is a deal somewhere with 5 random steam games?

It's unlisted on Steam so you can't actually buy it anymore.

I played it on 360, I found the actual game fun as hell, but JaseC wants it to bump up his numbers, as is tradition.

Yeah, http://randomgamekeys.eu/ on the previous page. Pay 5 Euros and get 5 random games. JaseC's winnings are what he's giving away so they're not all shit.

It was pulled from Steam and I don't have it. :(

50 diamonds is the minimum fund level, so I bought five.

I'm never sure if I have enough posts to not be a lurker.

Three more to go.

Haha, yeah, I wasn't expecting to receive anything that's of use to myself.

Just checked, a game in Barselona where you can unleash destruction on said Barselona? That sounds like a game one can get obsessed over, easily! (><)

Judging by Jasec's games, they are quite good. Tempting...

edited: the site doesn't load for me at all, good, I'm safe for now.

True but man I just can't handle all of that. I'm quite enjoying the story though, thus why I decided to just cut out the grind for my personal tastes. I've always been felt you should be able to play a game anyway you please.

You have a point and you found a way, so it's all unicorns and rainbows.
I lose my patience often in TRPGs too, especially after 60-70 hours (><)

I think im only like 15 hours in and that was with DLC weapons that are overpowered in the beginning of the game. Without those I would have resorted to cheats far sooner.

you pain me now (><)
I still have 2 PS3 Disgaeas untouched, no cheating there.

Ah, damnit, yes. GreenManGaming. Corrected my post.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think it was posted already that season 2 (on GMG) is for Telltale Games site, not for steam.
Someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

Someone has added a random element/a roll of the dice into what is effectively bundle creation? That could be a stroke of genius...

Will hold out then, not to mention that the Autumn sale is just around the corner, can we expect it to start on Monday next week if not late November?

It's begun on a Thursday the past couple of years (the 22nd last year and the 24th the year before).

Edit: Bah, I keep forgetting that Steam's news posts use local date/time, so Thursday here = Wednesday in the US. The 27th seems like a safe bet as the 20th strikes me as a little too early.
