Polygon's marathon Xbox One live stream

I completely agree with you. I wasn't saying it was right for them to think that way, but that's how it seems. They praise all the features that they even admit are half-assed right now.

Oh for sure!, my reply wasnt directed at you but just in addendum to what you were saying! :)

They seem to be more critical of their viewer base than the companies.

This is something that really pisses me off about gaming media coverage that can be found on alot of sites across the web.

Titanfall is easily my most anticipated game, and I agree.

It just looks like a great game, but it doesn't scream "NEW HARDWARE!" to me.

My first "THIS IS NEXT-GEN AS FUCK!" moment last-gen was when I downloaded the Fight Night Round 3 demo on my 360 in January of 06 or whenever it was.

I think my next gen as fuck moment for this gen was playing GoW3. Blew my mind. I got my PS3 kinda late so everything was still really fresh for me.

On an impression scale, Dead Rising was jaw dropping for me as I knew it literally couldn't have been done on OG Xbox or PS2.

But yes Fight Night looked fantastic back in 06.

Praising the fuck out of the PS4 streaming and share button. Says they hope MS copies them and makes one of the XB1 buttons a share button.

Yeah I just don't get what you guys hate about this. It's not nearly as snarky or skeptical as, say, practically any Giant Bomb video and myself and others love those guys for that exact reason. It's also not a tenth as funny as anything Giant Bomb does but, you know, it's fine.

EDIT: The super-professional presentation combined with the snark is kind of trippy but whatevs.

Gears of War was the first visual showcase last generation. That was the moment we went "shit, this looks real good."

They are very lukewarm about the console. However, the review scores don't align with that.

Today's stream, especially this round table, is significantly better than the PS4 one.

There are lessons to be learnt by not having Gies involved.

That is a silly complaint though because you can just turn the controller off very easily.

hmm IDK if it is that easy, you have to hold the PS button and it interrupts the movie.

My other complaint is the awesome for gaming triggers have a habit of getting pressed when you set the controller down, activating FF/rewind.

Not the best controller for movie watching. They need to remap the buttons and turn the light off or way down when you are watching a movie.

"Incredibly easy to find"? What the hell gave you the impression I was trying to hide? And from whom? What are YOU talking about? Enlighten me, detective. I hold an opinion that you disagree with, but instead of challenging it, you leave childish innuendo (only to back away when I call you on that shit). Not surprised, though, considering that's how this hackneyed conspiracy with Polygon started. Grow up.

My original statement: I did some jr. Detective gaf work and..lets just say he's a fan and try to ignore him.

Your response?
You have no idea what you're talking about, so stfu, eh? ..."jr detective work" my ass.
Keep up. I already proved my point, you had your tongue buried so deep in polygon's urethra, defending them from every negative comment, I HOPED you were on their payroll. But no, just another 2 faced gaffer who talks down this site while elevating another.

Yep, noticed that. They showed the review before the roundtable started and it was very mediocre but then at the very end they plop that 8.0 on the screen. Its very weird.

an oversight is lying now? hdmi cec is janky and a poor alternative to native remote support. I have it disabled on my tv and receiver (both pioneer) because it's a pain in the ass. that said, the remote issue is not a big deal and polygon said as much at the start of this stream -- only one of the guys cared about it and they mocked him for it. I have the remote that came w/ launch 360s and I never use it because the controller is better

btw, there is another thread for ps4 stream

So HDMI In doesn't passthrough when XB1 is off

Not sure that was known before

How did they frame that argument? I'm eating a pulled pork sandwich right now.

Basically why would you buy a PS4 now if you can buy a PS3 and play 8 years worth of games

Yeah he had no idea how PS+ works

Don't worry he's not a gaming journalist or anything

But you can just turn off the controller and turn it back on when you need to skip and stuff. That or put it in an area where the light isn't showing from the LED.

Yeah I love hiding the controller when watching stuff.

Seriously its annoying. The light is BRIGHT and I like to watch movies in the dark.

yeah.... I only posted in here because it was said in the Xbox stream

Who uses a controller for watching movies anyways? Once the remote comes out you'll never use the controller again for movies.

"can you snap a game to the side?"
"oh yeah."
"I think"
"maybe you can't"

[no]

how much time did they spend with this thing?
