I'm actually trying to figure this out now. There is no "system video player", which is what I used on the Xbox 360. In the apps section there's Xbox Video, and it it's description it says "You can also stream your personal videos to Xbox One from compatible windows tablets and PCs." I'm searching around and not seeing the option though.
You have to use the Play To feature of W8/8.1 tablets/PC's.
No problem bro. That was driving me nuts for awhile.

Does that have to be initialized by the tablet/PC? If so, that makes it much less useful. I was hoping I could setup a custom channels on the OneGuide for network locations.
Also, I'm on Win7 and have no tablet or smartphone.

Yes that has to be done on the PC.
You also can't listen to custom soundtracks while playing games etc.
There are a lot of things that aren't working. We will just have to wait and see what and when they fix them.

I feel like the crowd sound is bugged in the game, sounds muffled or something. What's strange is the crowd sounded amazing while I was installing the game (there was no commentary, just music) which definitely makes me feel like this must be a bug or something. Same thing with sounds the players make when they block or fall hard, it's like there's a 3-4 seconds delay.

The quick look was pretty bad. No idea what happened to twisted pixel.. makes me a bit sad.
Also my rating on the X1.. I would say a solid 8.5. A few things to tweak and adjust but I really like their vision.
I would also like MS to get their ass in gear with updating Xbox.com so sites like Raptr can track again.
Side note.. sold an X1 today when my friend came over who is a big gear head. 2 minutes into Forza and the triggers he looked at me and blamed the future end of his marriage on me

Thanks for the answers. I am not sure if they are going to ditch them as some people invested money in it, and it's kind of easy money for them. I really liked avatar integration with 360, too bad we won't see it in this One

Not sure what's going on, my Xbox one is connected to my Yamaha reciever via the provided HDMI cable but I can't get 5.1 working... pretty standard set up so it must work.

Avatars are actually more hidden and unused than I expected. There's an Avatars app that lets you edit ours, use the avatar store, and view a list of friends' avatars. I've yet to see any of them outside of the app. Your friends list doesn't even use them anymore, it uses gamerpics. I believe the only time you see avatars outside of the app is if someone uses their to make a gamerpic.
DTS if you want 5.1 sound over optical.

Download is slow as hell. I tried playing a bit ago but it errored out after the Beard logo. Waiting until it's fully done. 85%.

The Day Ones don't really come with anything that fantastic, the foil cover is nice.
I got Day Ones from Target, but I did the $1 pre-order.
dead rising has day one dlc on the marketplace you can download
haven't seen anything for the other games. not sure what those day one editions come with though

The left bumper of my controller sucks, I think it's even broken. It's not 'clicky' like the right bumper and you have to press hard for it to register. I'm not trading my console in considering it's hard to find, I'll just eat up the cost of another controller if necessary. But I'm utterly disappointed right now. >=(

Look in the game jacket there is a QRcode included in each Day One game. Just Redeem the code using the camera using the "xbox use a code" voice command.

I haven't set up my Skype account yet but does anyone know if it gives any indication to your Skype friends that you're on an xbox? I use Skype bi-weekly for work calls and I'd love to use my xbox/Kinect for this but I'd rather not have people see that I'm on a video game console.
This happened to me Friday when I skipped out of work early. Someone hit me up on Skype when I was on my Xbox, but they had no clue what device I was on other than the slow typing.

He's asking about the digital editions. The Day One content for DR3 is available as a free download pack, but there is nothing there for Ryse that I can see.

i love the xbox one, but who on their right mind wanted to implement install disc's first. its been 1 hr 30 mins on dead rising 3 and its still on 1% after i downloaded the update.
