Two excellent new online options (google translated, but the point is there):

Lowest pit stop times
Set the lower limit of the number of times that must pit stop during the race . If the number of pit stop was less than a set number of times , the penalty will be given after the race

Tire Type Replacement obligation
Here you can select whether requiring the exchange of types of tire during the race . If you did not replace the type of tire during the race in the state that you select " Yes " , the penalty will be given after the race.

All previous GT5 options are there as well.

Online will be amazing. GTS is welcoming NRL in the forecoming weeks :)

Ho Lee Shit Balls!

Fuck ing Eh!

First screens of the PD F1's (credit to Whistle Snap from GTplanet)

I see they did nothing for the tires. Just as long as the Ferrari f1 cars and the retro Lotus are in, I'm happy.

Now that we're almost on the eve of release... Aren't we glad that GT6 is coming this week and not at least 2 years from now on ps4?

Heck yeah! I'm waiting for the photomode thread tho :(

Nice! Awesome in having options for pit rules.

Damnit, they didn't talk about what "image quality" is in the options... I think people have an idea of what it is in GT5, but not 100% sure...

This is probably going to be a controversial move on PD's part, but they've locked out online until you acquire a National A license. I think it's a pretty interesting move in terms of attempting to find a way to get rid of the people that don't want to play seriously.

HA!! Nice.

If the licenses are intertwined in Career mode then that's not nice. They're forcing you to play through the game. It should like previous GTs where you can do all licenses at once.

Same for the Seasonal Events apparently.

Once you acquire your National A Licence in career mode, Seasonal Events become available.

IIRC it is not too much play, I think it is maybe 10 races in total before you open NA Licenses.

Cool. I hope you don't mind me starting with your's amar

Not at all.

How the fuck do they get the track so accurate without scanning it??

PD scans tracks for a long time, they just do not brag to much about it.

They scan the surface and they have a specially equipped car that captures surface data for suspension engine as well, on top of other video-equimpment that records the driving on some track with 8 cameras in the same time.

They are doing it like that since 2002 IIRC

any videos/documentarys ever been put out that talk about/show PD's capture methods for cars/tracks?

Not as far as I know. PD is pretty guarded when it comes to their tech and what they do for each game. But Kaz talked a little about it earlier this year

“For a single track, we take over 100,000 photos and laser scan the track surface, and we also use images captured from helicopters and satellites,” Mr. Yamauchi said. “The discrepancy of track accuracy is down to plus or minus one centimeter. We do the same for cars; we take several hundred photos for each car, laser scan the surface, the exterior, the interior, the instrument panels.”

http://wheels.blogs.nytimes.com/201...-games-can-influence-sports-car-design/?_r=1&

And this is from one of the GT SEMA award winners talking about his experience with PD

"The first scan they did was the underside of the car. They did a pan of the chassis. As they were scanning it, in real time, there was a 3-D wireframe model being built of the car on the screen. You could actually see the relationship between the body mounts and the floor. You could see the exhaust and the clearance that the exhaust had. You could see the tread pattern on the tires, the horns, and all the fasteners holding those in place, the whole chassis, the headers, the oil pan - everything", said Craig.

"It was bizzare. A red line swept across the interior. It was sort of a spacey type of a deal. The room was somewhat dimly lit, and you would see this red line sweep across - bzzzzzzzzt. As soon as it finished it was producing a 3d wireframe model to scale on the screen", said Art.

When the scan was complete a full 3d model of the car was soon rotating around on the computer screen. With a click or two of the mouse the entire car began unfolding in three dimensions on a screen in front of Art and Craig's eyes. To fill in the wireframe back at GTHD central a four-person crew took video and still imagery of the car.

"They took video of me going through the gears, and the starting sequence of the car. Turning the wheel. Setting the e-brake. Pulling the hood release. Hi-beam Lo-beam. Everything." said Craig.

Oh, there will be a Host Loan car for online too.

Host picks a car from his garage (tuned, nontuned, whatever) and everybody in the room drives that car.

Well, that one is amazing option.

This is getting almost unbelievably good. I still remember showing off the shots of GT1 in Next-Generation(?) magazine to family members before release. The screenshots were flat-out astonishing to me, and even at that point, they looked pretty good to someone not really interested in videogames. This video just cements how far this genre has come. Hot dang, I'm excited.

First time ever I managed to flip a car in any GT I think. Also the one I drive IRL. Maybe I should be worried.

Looks good, but it still feels too narrow for some reason. I have no doubt the measurements are correct, it just feels like a single lane road.
L2/R2 are still analog, but the rest aren't.
The reasoning they gave was to reduce input lag, since it means less data to transfer.
Bugger. I liked haveing them and never noticed the lag :(

On top of previusly known detoriation now there is permanent damage in the career mode.

Yes, yes, YES!

Maintenance and Ownership Consequences FTW!

Yeah, it's the field of view.

Ah. That would make sense. Makes me sad though. It is so hard to get FOV issues right for everyone who plays. Too narrow and not enough peripheral vision, to wide and shit looks weird. Maybe they should make the track wider so it feels correct with a wide FOV. I don't know. I know I don't enjoy trying to race two wide even on straights on the PD versions of real tracks.

Not sure about that in a game.

Fuck no.

What are you talking about? The proportions are correct. If you don't like driving 2 wide on a "PD version" of a real track, you sure as hell fucking wont like it on the real versions of those tracks.

Okay mate.

Edit: In other news, has it been confirmed that the 20 mill limit is gone? Given the XJ13 is still a 20 mill car I hope so. And LOL at PD's cash credit prices: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2013-12-04-gran-turismo-6-microtransaction-pricing-revealed 120 punds for the XK13? Hope the grind is reduced.

Still, I think I will be buying this game eventually, I love the Bathurst track too much not I think. I am weak :(

Does anyone know how the paint system works in this game? Can you only paint cars with the colors you get from owning cars like GT5?
