I agree to a certain extent but sometimes Sony lets the developer have way to much leeway on time. GT series being the biggest culprit. I don't mid a fall to march delay since lot comes out in the fall but if the delay is till summer of 2015 or later then another case of Sony management not keeping developers on task.

My overreaction stems from the fact that Sony's 2014 lineup seem glaringly thin, especially for a company that has publicly stated they have a lot of games in development. If a gameplay trailer is not ready today with The Order's potential release scheduled for sometime in 2014, that is a worrisome sign that it may slip into 2015. If that's the case what will be released in late 2014? Uncharted? An unannounced game? We just don't know because Sony has been tight lipped on their future offerings. Maybe VGX will shed some light on that but time is running out and the later Sony waits the more evident that the back-end of 2014 will be devoid of tentpole exclusive for the PS4.

Don't you think you're overreacting a little there? We're barely coming to the end of 2013. Remember, Sony revealed their launch games back in February. It's possible they're working with developers to try to lock down release dates/timeframes so that when they do reveal a title it'll come out when they say it will. Just be patient.

We're getting Infamous and DC early next year, and there will probably be at least another couple of major exclusives due before the end of the year. The Order may end up being 2015, but they've never talked about a confirmed release window.

I know new PS4 owners are keen for more software, but I just think this one tiny lack of trailer is being completely blown out of proportion.

People want to know what is coming on the new consoles. If Sony & MS only revealed games that were "ready to be shown", they'd have very slim showings at E3 this year. Order is still at least 9-10 months away from release. Sony won't need to start showing Order until sometime in Spring 2014 to build up appropriate hype for the game.

GT though is their biggest and most valuable franchise, rivaling pokemon mario and gta. I can see why they would allow it such a dev time. Though it's getting a bit much.

I said "could". Of course it is just speculation, but the previous teasers were different and I haven't seen any teases from Geoff regarding the game, which I think would have been there if there was a big reveal of a Naughty Dog game tomorrow.

Geoff hasn't done many specific hyping for games this time around compared to last year I think..not sure why. But I would be utterly shocked if UC isn't a fall next year game. It will most likely be their big gun for the holidays

I can't really think of anything that needs to be a "secret" until the reveal. The previous subtitles were pretty generic ("Among Thieves", "Drake's Deception").

I was thinking maybe a location based hint. Something like "Atlantis rising' or some lol

They are not full reboots, but they have new player characters and a new setting (different time/city/locations)

To be fair both KZ3 and inFamous ended things on a good point for a reboot/fresh start. And Uncharted 3 did too. Wouldn't be surprised if this is a new start for the Uncharted franchise too..heck maybe even with a different main character

Uncharted: Drakes Legacy has a nice ring to it Either way I hope they show something meaty for it tomorrow. I'm a big fan of the franchise.

They could've waited until Spring 2014 to have the announce trailer and a small snippet of actual gameplay footage. That's how you do it. Then go a little bigger at E3. That way they can push the release date back as needed, but feed the media beast piece by piece. Maintain that hype with real footage that fans can keep going back to until the game comes out.

Maybe I am overreacting. I'll concede that. But large spans of time between new game footage makes me uneasy. Also see: The Last Guardian.

Not to derail the thread but we're talking about a man who didn't see the potential in Demons Souls, greenlit GoW:A, put GT6 on ps3 (as a result of which the game will sell quite a bit less than GT5 did), didn't realise Puppetteer would have been good as a launch title for the ps4 and when the failing handheld of his company is in dire need of AAA games his answer was The Big Fest and Murasaki Baby.
