He should be holding a skull while the monologue from Hamlet scrolls slowly down the image--to U or not to U, that is the question; Whether tis nobler in the mind to suffer the slings and arrows of another NPD, etc.

That's not the scene with the skull. You mean, Alas poor Wii U!

The Nintendo brand is finally over. Maybe next decade!

It's over, period. Nintendo lost the casuals, and that's the end of their Wii U hopes and dreams.

It's not hyperbole, it's not fanboy drivel. It is LITERALLY it for Wii U. Nintendo has nothing left, nothing they have can fix the hole now created. There is no reason left for anyone, hardcore or casual, to substantially invest in a Wii U. Except if they want to play Bayonetta 2. Which will also come to PS4 at some point.

Microsoft and Sony took the last reason away that anyone would NEED to own a WiiU over a PS4 or Xbox one(except Miiverse LOL GAMING), and the cavalcade of tiny titles that will be nice but won't stir up any sales is not going to salvage the underpowered non-entity that was Wii U.

There may be some hardcore gamers that stick around. Some did it for PS3 too. But the last bell tolled. Maybe next decade.

The age of Nintendo is done.

too good

Two copies sold? That's not a bomb guys, stop trolling!!!
So, 2DS was included then.
Eeeeeeeeh, it's a good number, but it should have sold 1 million this month.
At least, December has Pokémon 2DS bundles, so it's certainly going to be a good December.

To be fair, XB1 was out for only 8 days in November compared to Sony's 15 days (Sony sold over a million units before Xbone even launched). December numbers are going to be much more interesting considering both consoles being out the entire month making it a much more even and fair comparison.

.

Not really, Sony has been supply constrained quickly, so has the xbone though it seems it has more accessible availability right now. If both had excess supply everywhere then you could make that argument, otherwise it doesn't make much of a difference.

Is this 1997 again?

Going back to the consensus that Nintendo bundled the wrong damn game. Who bundles TWO mario games when you are trying to sell a Mario game?

This is a keeper.

Welp, it was good while it lasted for Wii U I guess. Hopefully Nintendo can salvage some money through firesales of the consoles that they've already made. They probably haven't had to produce/manufacture any Wii U consoles since launch, and a big sale next holidays with Smash/Zelda could salvage some money through loads of software purchases I suppose..

hey guys so if wiiu is doing worse than dreamcast, does the dream of nintendo 3rd party will become reality? T_T im crying tears of joy

425K.

If Wii U really did sell somewhere around 220,000, that's utterly abysmal. Horrid, horrid numbers. GameCube managed twice that.

I think the only hope for the Wii U is December, as Nintendo seems to have increased their marketing a LOT for this month (intelligently avoiding the next-gen initial rush).

..........220k is bad though.

That's a really shitty number for Mario as well... :s

Incredible, but yeah....the same year Yamauchi died could be the same year Mario died. Incredible. Somehow I feel really old now having been raised playing NES and Mario Bros.

It was fucking 30 years ago. Maybe the time really is over and people now see games differently.....

Ok I'll stop saying bullshit sorry. Just feeling a bit nostalgic.
