Was it not the case for retail games on 360 as well? I could have sworn that retail games required a demo as well.

Hmm, thanks. Well my point still stands. The days where virtually the entire library had mandatory demos was great for gamers. It's a shame they are moving away from that. I bought tons of games I wouldn't have otherwise because of demos.

Well it only took me about 10 minutes of playing to realize it wasn't my type of game. It looks and plays better than videos online and the amount of zombies on screen is very impressive. But, I just can't get into open world games where you just wonder around doing whatever. I like structured gameplay.

the 20 minute session is fine, im used to other demos having time requirements, the 2 uses is slightly humorous. But considering that the game is one that you can really just roam around and play for a long time, it makes since that it may hurt sales if an unlimited demo was out there.

Just downloaded it to try out. It's true that you're limited to 2 plays @ 20 minutes and if you quit after a few minutes that counts as a play

They just drop you in ingleton with a car and a sledgesaw and a few levels. The rest of the city is blocked off but you can collect the blue prints and other collectibles. You also get the chapter 0 side missions/psycho

the demo does not include the story. there are only 2 or 3 brief parts during the story where you're supposed to wander around

This is the problem with demos, they often give the wrong impression. I remember how much I hated that Dead Space demo those years back, only to find out a couple of years later that I loved the actual game to bits.

It's funny you mention the Dead Space demo; it completely turned me off to the game. But then I kept hearing how the demo is not representative of most of the game.

I'm going to be honest, I don't tend to like anything that has to do with zombies. It's just not my thing.

That being said, this demo was pretty fun. Wish they'd give you more time to play though, as I'm not 100% sold on it. I'm definitely more interested than I was though, and will check out some reviews.

You're not wrong, complete and utter moron. Such stupid restrictions are not going to convince anyone to buy what is the best game on X1 at the moment...

What really bugs me is that MS are fine seemingly with this. They funded the damn game, they should be doing everything in their power to make sure it's not a complete sales bomb and yet they allow this....

It would actually be better if they just gave you 40 minutes. While testing it out, I exhausted my 2 plays in 10 minutes

You can of course, just create a new profile though

You can, but there shouldn't be restrictions on the number of times you can play a demo in the first place. Have a timer in demo if you must, but having a play limit is just incredibly stupid and somewhat counter productive...

I usually play demos once or twice then delete them so works for me. Now, let's see if this game really is good.

I hope they come out with Ryse demo as well!

Honestly who plays a demo 20 times? I guess I did back in the early 90s with shareware games....... but if there's a game that I like enough to entire me to start it up 20 times........ I'm buying it.

It will add it to your games list, but you have to start the download from the console

Um Wow. This game actually plays better than it looks. I just did a side mission and gained a partner, then went over to that crazy zen maniac and put an end to him. I liked how you had to throw your weapon to knock him off the pillars. That was actually quite fun.

Just found this on the store....got all excited!

2 20 minute uses!!

Lost a sale just pulling that BS. Nintendo's 20 tries is better than play the game no longer than 20 minutes two times.
