Nintendo Downloads - December 2013

I checked the OP but didn't saw anything about a release in only some countries? Why is it delayed in others?

New releases section on the eShop.

If it's delayed or cancelled must be for the exclusive videogames classification in some countries (Germany, Australia, etc) or license things.

What country are we talking about? Look at official Nintendo web of that country.

Germany. I checked nintendo.de. It also says december 12th.

SM3 has been "coming soon" for months now and there is still no release date listed in the eshop. What's the hold up Nintendo? I'm tired of the "please understand" response. I do not understand.

I'd play that.

Between now and Feb 21st when DKCTF comes out Nintendo better get off there butts and release games on the eShop and VC since there is nothing else coming out.

I'd play that.

Forget the game and watch collections. Give me a VB collection as a Club Nintendo reward. That would be amazing.

Also, I had a customer come in today and ask me for prices on Wii Sports Club games. Apparently GameStop is selling them cheaper than the eShop. Tennis is $4.99 and Bowling is $8.99. I'm not yet a U owner, so I don't know how that compares, but I figured this was as good a place as any to mention it.

Ooh, that's one more Nintendo-published game up on the eShop now. What's still missing? Steel Diver and the Fatal Frame spin-off? The latter is likely never coming because of the AR functionality, but the former should make it up there eventually.

Maybe there's a Nintendo Direct this week with N64 and GBA games..

...

...don't kill my dreams :(

They need a dedicated team, either an expanded internal one or an external contractor, to handle their VC output. Spin off a VC team with Nintendo legal support to negotiate rights issues and get the release rate up again. I can justify the upgrade charge for the Wii U versions, and I can understand the trickle release, but it's only working if there is a steady flow. Each week we should be seeing at least one popular "big" release alongside a pair of lesser-known, or less desirable titles, and we should have timed releases to tie in with key software.

Saw Giana Sisters price reduction, got excited.... then oh wow a whole €2 woooopty-dooo!

Maybe I should just get Mutant Mudds on 3DS because apparently the Wii U one is just never gonna come out in PAL. :|

Everyone should buy Witch & Hero! :D

3D Shinobi III Return of the Ninja Master

Yay, I'll definitely get these two! I've never played them before and they're supposedly two of the Mega Drive's best games! :)

You might as well do that! Jools Watsham (Renegade Kid) mentioned somehwere that they'd rather focus on developing new games than dealing with PEGI/USK.

Kid Icarus: Uprising is still missing on European eShop.

This is an increasingly annoying reason.

Annoying shit from all sides, if its not Square Enix or someone not bothering to release a game in English its a small indie developer with not enough money to get a game rated for your continent.

Does anyone actually release things anymore?

Life Force! Nice, I liked Gradius when I was a kid (could never make it past the second level though...). This is a sequel to that, right?

Hmmm... nothing for me this week, though I'm not complaining : Bravely Default is keeping me busy enough as it is :p

I wonder if Bamco will ever take their fingers out of their capital B and put Tales of the Abyss on the eShop... yeah, better book my seat in the afterlife, gonna wait a while I'm afraid :p

"Huh? We made a Tales a game for Nintendo? When did that happen? Who authorized this? Let's not remind people, lest they might want us to make more lulz." -Nambai

No Wii U VC isn't a surprise at this point, but it is pretty hilarious especially coming off the back of what Iwata said a while ago.

"While Wii U and Nintendo 3DS already offer Virtual Console software, I feel that we have not been able to take full advantage of our assets yet," Iwata said, "so we would like to enrich our Virtual Console lineup."

Doing well there.

Ah, I was hoping for Contra III.
Oh well, I've got enough to play at the moment anyway, and there are two Sega 3D Classics coming. But it seems my WiiU won't be turned on this week.

Hos is Kung fu rabbit?
Someone haas also feedback about Knytt?
Kung Fu Rabbit is a nice little platformer. Relies heavily on wall jumps. Some call it an easy Super Meat Boy clone. (I don't know if that's correct because I never played SMB). It is relatively easy. It has 80 short levels and you can unlock 80 remixed, harder versions of those levels. It took me around 12 hours to 100% it, but it can take you much less time if you aren't as short-tempered as I am ;)

Nifflas has demos for the PC, Mac & Linux versions of Knytt Underground on his homepage.

I misread that as 3D Streets of Rage 2 and it's probably going to take me a while to get over the disappointment, don't think I could go back to the first. Might get Shinobi though as I was really impressed with the job they did on Sonic.

I bought Attack of the Friday Monsters. I'm only half an hour into it but it's a really nice game so far. Very Ghibli-esque.

Looking forward to 3D Streets of Rage. Has anyone played 3D Galaxy Force 2? Any good?

Don't use Miiverse but; you guys got life with horses and ecco the dolphin though and I'm sure by the end of the week you'll have these too...

But are screenshots enabled?

On everything except Nintendogs, apparently.

Edit: Oh hey, Europe didn't get Nintendogs! Japan did.

Picked up Attack of Friday Monsters.

Wasn't expecting a cute little song at the start! Love how the world feels, so whimiscal and childlike. Can already tell this was a wise purchase.
