I just did a copy/paste from the collab app to that entry box and it worked. There's nothing in your present box?

Just throwing it out there, but are you sure you're copy pasting the code from the DraPo tab specifically? The other games each have different individual codes for their respective apps.

Yeah, open collab app -> go to monster box -> dragon poker tab -> button on top -> get code from a text box that is 12 characters with a mix of numbers, lowercase and uppercase letters.

So... finally got to 40 stones.

Should I roll now, or wait till the weekend?

And which section would be best to blow my 40 stones on? And whats the difference between the 2nd and 3rd sections in the Gachapon section?

Hige

Member
By 2nd and 3rd section I think you're talking about the normal gacha and collab gacha? I rolled the collab gacha (40 stone button at the bottom) and it was alright... a few S cards. But nothing was leveled or skilled up, which I think the regular gacha is offering right now from the looks of the banner. I'm at 35 stones so I might try that one soon and I'll let you know.

Do you mind taking a screenshot of where your putting in the code?

And also if any of you are really hungry for stones you can always use bluestacks (android emulator) to make smurf accounts and trade codes for yourself.

Just for shits I tried entering my serial code in there again and got the message that the code was already used. So either the game already accepted your code and somehow the mons have completely flown under the radar for you all this time or the game ate your code.

Checked the deck editor, don't see any new ones. Didn't see anything new in the present boxes either.

This is the error message I'm getting, is it the same for you when you entered it in again?

That says the serial code entered is incorrect; mine says

Yeah, that's what I assumed. So it's not the same error message. :/

I dunno what's wrong. Ah well.

You want to talk this on IRC? I want to ask for a screenshot of the serial code but this again is a public forum. If you want we are on irc.synirc.net #dorapo

Thanks, maybe later though, at work right now.

Are you entering it manually or copy/pasting?

I'm entering it manually. Let's just say due to a stupid touchscreen problem on my device, I can't click the copy text buttons. :x

So, huh, who's referral ID do I take? I'm not 100% sure. I'll post mine up and whoever I should've used just PM me with yours.

My ID is ddf4daf
Nickname is TK@GAF

Okay so I tried to enter HaRyu's code and from what the game tells me (and my co-worker who speaks japanese) it seems it's already been entered? I don't understand, I thought you could get referred more than once?

Dunno, should be.

My nickname is コアラ@GAF
Referral code is *******

Used Hige's referral code!

Edit: Oops, looks like I got preempted
Use HaRyu's code instead: bc3c971

So the gachapon is yellow now, good time to roll? But why is there two sections with 11 roll buttons?

Hige

The lowest section is for collab REM. The other REM is offering some bonuses if you get SS cards, though I'm not sure if the bonuses are the best they can be since it's not the weekend and the collab event is going on. I dunno, I'm confused about how it all works right now.

Weekend gacha is looking really strong; now's the time to do your 40roll if you haven't already done so.
Red: Apollon and Noel are high quality attackers while Charlotte is a beast in PVP
Blue: Undine might be the best monster in PVP, idk about the new dragon (he fills in another tile on the title screen though), Seiuchi is solid
Green: unicorn is solid, no clue what belfegor does, Tristan is solid

Belfegor is 3x bite and a chance to inflict sleep, making it the second monster ever to directly inflict that status. She also has ridiculous stats.

So far I've done 3 40 rolls. Collab machine gave me some random S cards, meh. Got Aphrodite from my 2nd roll (pre-weekend). Got Charlotte and Unicorn from the weekend roll.

I'm not sure I fully understand how the skill system at level 30 works. Is it just that the main card gets the secondary skill (and stat boost) from the card that's attached to it? And it looks like some only work when they're attached to a particular type of card? I can read some Japanese but all the ability descriptions and such are a bit overwhelming.

Do the Something Awful forums have any important info? The google docs guide links to it for skill descriptions but I'm not a member so I can't see it.

The SA Forum post is just a little overview of what each skill category entails. You should join the IRC, it's easier for us to relay information.

I assume you're talking about the vassal/equip/whatever system that unlocks at 30, then yes, certain sub abilities have conditionals for their use. Varies wildly per monster. Getting stats is an assured thing though, the amount of which varies based on the formulas detailed in the minireference.

Since Colosseum is opening up again next week, I wanted to call attention to the two most important SP skills used in it:
OSx5iBVl.png

"Skill Guarantee", as it's come to be referred to, ensures* that your monster's skill activates if it's part of the hand. You get this SP skill from treasure drops in 5*.

Hand Shuffle 3+, much like the regular Hand Shuffle 3, allows you to randomly redraw three cards in your hand (with replacement), potentially saving a dead hand from uselessness. The + version costs much less SP, but is only useable in Colosseum. You can purchase this with Dragon Medals, and is highly recommended as your first purchase since it indirectly increases your win rate in Colo and thus gives you more Dragon Medals, paying off for itself over time.

And since SA is behind a paywall right now, here's everthing you need to know about skill priority:

Everything you ever needed to know about support cards

Things you should know already: support cards do nothing by themselves. They give bonuses to other skills, like AOE, multihit, or powerup. Used effectively, they can make your life a whole lot easier. Unfortunately, most people have no idea how they work.

Support cards will link with any available activated skill, so theoretically you can just throw them out without guaranteeing them. You'll still need other skills to activate in order for the support card to work though. Support cards will link with skills that have the highest priority, and this priority follows some basic rules:

1. Cards that have been skill guaranteed (SG) have higher priority
2. Non-attack skills have higher priority than attack skills
3. Cards placed first have higher priority

Non-attack skills include heals, shields, skulls, etc. The only exception is Kuroe, who's got a skull skill but counts as attack. What that rule means is that if a non-attack card is played with SG, then it will take a higher priority than any attacking cards, no matter when it's placed. Example (all examples taken from Famitsu):

GaKUzoW.jpg

All cards SG except Snow, ordered by placement (first to last)

J and A are both attack skills, and have been placed before 8 and 4, but 8 is a non-attack skill. As such, it will fire before either J or A. And yes, 4 will also fire before those two. So on this hand, 8 will link with Snow to give everyone a heal.

Since a lot of people don't know this rule, they'll do dumb things like this:

vNw6dUv.jpg

Without the last card in this hand, 4 would have linked with Undine for an AOE attack. Instead, Player 5 stumbles in with an SG non-attack skill which steals the support from 4. In this case 10 will do a garbage AOE poison (with a good chance of missing no less). Player 5 either doesn't know how support works, or doesn't know that his skill is trash. Anyway, this is a lesson in not SG'ing at every possible opportunity. If your card's skill is shit, don't boast about it. Think a bit first.

QX0HRRC.jpg

Here's a hand that looks good. All skills are SG, and all are attack. An AOE attack is definitely happening. But whether this is optimal sort of depends on what the enemy is. If the enemies are all blue, for example, then red kid's AOE will be inferior to Blades' AOE (insert jokes about Blades' miss rate here), but red kid has priority thanks to being placed first. Often it helps to pay attention to what cards your teammates have, so you don't steal support from something a lot stronger than your card.

4. Super fusion has higher priority than support

Pretty simple rule, this. It can work a couple of ways. First is the infamous example of Ifrina's super fusion with Phoenix/Apollo/Yohan. Because of the super fusion, Ifrina's powerup support is wiped out. The other way is if a card that would have gotten support fuses with something else:

6hoQDnv.jpg

Without Player 5's intervention, Athena would have linked with Snow for an AOE shield. But now the two Athenas will fuse instead, which in this case provides a much greater benefit than the Snow support. Snow will now link with Blades instead.

5. SG support has higher priority than non-SG support, otherwise it's random

Ok, so normally you don't have to SG support. But it can be useful to do it. Situation one:

8eX7ihc.jpg

The CPU plays their crappy sl1 nymph, which is at first linked with SG Emo Lancelot. Low sl support weakens the linked skill a lot, so in this case Player 5 rides in with an SG sl5 Undine, which steals the support away from the nymph. So one case where you want to SG support is when you want to make sure a certain skill will definitely link with your support card. On the flip side, I've seen horribly stupid stuff happen like a 5th player throwing in an SG sl1 Priquet (AOE) to steal support from a non-SG sl5 Miku (powerup), with just one enemy on the board! The attack that might have gotten a huge boss-killing powerup was instead forced to do a completely pointless and weakened AOE, and the hand was completely ruined. Don't be that person. Situation two:

VhF1fAy.jpg

Now what? J has an SG, but neither support card has SG. When neither support card has SG, it's completely random as to which card provides the support. So in the suicidal Priquet play I was talking about, there was no guarantee that Miku would have linked if the guy hadn't SG'd Priquet, but there was still a chance of it happening. Situation three:

Hz9ONjA.jpg

Two SG support, two SG skills. This works the same way as Situation two, so it'll be random as to who supports 3 and who supports A. However, following the basic rules, 3 will fire first, then A. If 4 was also SG, then it would go 3, 4, A, so A would have no support.

List of super fusions that can mess up support, may be incomplete (S above only)
Obviously, all cards will also fuse with themselves.

Ifrina: Phoenix, Apollo, Holy Shit Yohan
Tichelle (red S support): Catgirl
Undine: Apsaras (blue R support), Merman
Priquet (blue S support): Mermaid, Hydra
Peridot: Lapis Lazuli, Garnet
Ent (green S support): Turtle, Gigas
Johnny: Eyepatch
Snow: Alice, Red

It's less relevant in Rookie league since the power level varies so wildly in there, but it starts getting you thinking about how to optimize plays, especially when the correct answer is the unintuitive one. Your goal for the entire week is to climb out of Rookie League, which only takes a meager three wins to accomplish.

Managed to hit level 20, and I'm enjoying this game so far.

The game is far more generous with rewards as opposed to Puzzle and Dragons, I think, where it doesn't seem like it starts to push you to actually pay to win. Money seems to come by easily. Those purple crystals that are used for the gachapon in this game seem to be handed out left and right, for example, as battle rewards, you get one when you make a new friend, you get one when you evolve a monster, rewarded from the devs every once in a while, etc. They're not exactly falling into your lap, but it doesn't seem to be a massive grind to reach 40 crystals in a week.

That being said, is there some sort of "wall" where the game starts to get stingy with rewards? I'm going to assume yes, but was wondering when exactly it kicks in?

Just spent quite a bit of my life tapping inside the promotional app just so I can have a ripped cat-headed dude in a video game.

SMH.

Anyway, where on Earth do you enter the unlock code?

EDIT: Found it. Micatangelo get.

Who is at the end of the referral chain? Oh, and who should I add to the friends list?

My nick is currently FSP@GAF.

Just don't use mine, I already paired up with a friend for 30 stones.

And speaking of stones, I'm a bit salty I didn't get any SS rares from the 11 pulls last night. Really wanted to be in with the cool people running the event dungeon and will have to settle for a ton of S and S+'s in my deck.

What's the chances of this being localized for NA?

Hopefully high with the amount of money PAD and Brave Frontier is making :D

Really enjoying this so far. The gameplay is interesting but low-intensity, in that you only have a few seconds to make your choice and then wait a couple of minutes to make another choice. That means you can easily play while doing something else. And as noted elsewhere, the soundtrack is fantastic. Best I've ever heard in a mobile game.

Well, since the chain kind of broke when Hige got two referrals, I'd appreciate it if somebody used mine ^^

The special event (Million Nyanko) stages are amazing for grinding levels
Be sure to save some stamina for those and hope for some high-level folks to arrive and carry you.

*starts to cry*

Just did the Coliseum. Lost all four damn times. I have never screamed at my phone so much in my life.

I think I ranked 3rd in two battles, and then the other two, somewhere around 7...

For those who are thinking about it, PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT IF YOU'RE BELOW LEVEL 20, DAMMIT. AND TAKE ALL YOUR SLIMES OUT OF YOUR DECK. IN FACT, THERE SHOULDNT EVEN BE ONE NORMAL RANKED MONSTER AT ALL. BARE MINIMUM, YOUR MONSTERS SHOULD ALL BE RARE.

Tell me about it. 4 loses against 3 people that were 30+ levels most of my team, with the highest one on our team 15 levels below theirs. It was fun but mega disappointing.

now you know why that second testimonial in the op is there lol

If the "bail out" button isn't greyed out and you happen to see somebody horribly underleveled in the lobby, get the hell out of there. Sometimes I'll leave unless there's no way for me to get paired into an abysmally terrible party.

Once you get to about Queen league the variance in player skill starts settling down, but you still get that one guy every once in a while who either still doesn't know how poker works or is deliberately trolling everybody.

Didn't think about looking for a "bail out" button, honestly.

There were players who were friggin LEVEL 12.

The saddest thing was, during the first fight. The last round of that, our team's won the hand, so we went first. Our attack managed to kill a couple of members of the other team, and it managed to shoot our score into the lead.

Then the other team took their turn, they managed to kill one person on our team, and they managed to score enough to eek out a win.

So much screaming.

I had quite the opposite experience, won all 4 of my matches, but that was primarily due to my Charlotte wrecking faces. I saw the teams were somewhat balanced based on levels, but it wasn't perfect. Going first does matter, but having good stats are definitely as, if not more, important.

If it was the first fight, it wouldn't have been so horrible, but every fight I was in, there was always someone who played a slime. Always. As soon as I see a slime, was pretty much a sign my team was going to lose, as far as I can tell. *sigh*

BTW, so... how do we get new Coliseum tickets? Do they renew every day?

1 win, 3 losses

The way the game sorts teams sucks. I'm level 56 with 4 ~20 people and the other team has a level 58, two ~40s, and two ~20s. How am I supposed to leave the rookie league at this rate? Even bailing out of matchmaking when I saw a low level didn't help.

Rahk

3 wins, 1 loss.

The loss was one sided the whole way through. Seemed like I was the only one with shuffle and there were slimes aplenty. It looked like there were a couple level 50+ in the lobby but when the game was up it was all 20s and one level 50.

Just try to back out if you see anyone level ~20. One might be alright if the enemy team gets one too. I managed to win a match with a level 18 that became CPU straight away, full of N cards. The other team had a level 19 so it kind of balanced out.

I was hoping for more shouting. I was the only one using shouts apart from the initial ヨロシク (;*´Д`)ノ

Yes, you get up to four each day, every day of the week.

Damn, I was hungry for more matches.

I also wanted to know something about this event; Can you succeed with that card capture skill on all the event monsters? I didn't think you could get anything besides the cherries but we locked a green cat today and was thinking was it at all possible to get some of the later ones. I'm guess not the SS rare ones, just the normal red, blue and green cats that are R rank.
