Gamefly shipped mine yesterday, hopefully they continue their two day streak for new releases and I get it in the mail tomorrow.

They royally fucked up Lego Batman, still not shipped even though it was game locked. Their support rep says they ran into lost shipment for their warehouse.

I had some BB rewards points so burned those on 007 and skipped Gamefly this time. If I had known how well the game was going to be received, I would have locked it in, but at this point it would probably be a week before I got it.
 
I'm 5.7hrs into it and I really am not feeling this Bond. He is pretty characterless. I know what people say about the animations are poor; compare this to Uncharted 4 and you'll see it is very backwards.
The over-use of "woke" stuff... I see where people are coming from, but oh well. It's their game and i'll play it the way they designed it. Remember the end of No Time to Die? Was setting it up for a black woman 007, if memory serves me correctly. *boooooooooooooooom*

If you don't trust the scores, why did you buy it? Either the reviews mattered enough to affect you, or they didn't matter at all.
 
If you want to be offended by every game being woke, you can find it in every game. The problem is, there are horribly woke games and it ruins those games. In my first 5 hours, Bond has already been with one woman. Nothing in the game feels forced and I am not seeing any preaching. I am only 5 hours in, but I have a good feeling about the game. They seem to have remained true to the Bond license. The game takes place in modern UK, so there is going to be diversity. It is not like Bond is a black lesbian or something. There are beautiful women everywhere, and even "the woman in the red dress". This game is about as based as you could possibly hope to get in 2026 considering Amazon is involved. Perhaps Jeff Bezos is a Bond fan and demanded they stay true to the character and setting.

I saw some uncutted gameplay and i dont expect anything more than a fun but forgettable 7\10 romp, for 48 euros i can risk.

I fundamentally like tps with stealth, and hearing that the game is more hitman than unchy from people in here also contributed positively.

I was also undecited between this one and black flag because i though bf was out like next week but apparently it's out in july :lollipop_grinning_sweat:

I didn't readed a single review for the game, i don't give a fuck about reviews.

Is diversity such a bad thing? (Just out of curiosity...) Even if not forced, but I can imagine if the producers/directors of the next Bond MOVIE, were bold enough to go for a Bond who wasn't white, then the uproar would be huge...

I think people mistake a game going woke with a game simply having some diversity. I mean, is it REEEEALLYYY that surprising to see people of color in a game that's set in MODERN ENGLAND? At this rate, in 20 years it's gonna be called the United Kingdom of Allah, so I'm confused about that criticism.

What's woke, is trying to beat you over the head like you're retarded with some insane virtue signaling about something that ends with -ism/-phobic, or having some trans helicopter on a wheelchair being part of your "gang". None of that bullshit is in this game, to my limited Bond knowledge, they also didn't genderswap anybody. M was a dude in crusty old ass Bonds, but starting with Brosnan saga, it was always a no nonsense woman and dare I say, it really fit the dynamic when paired with a charismatic bloke that has problems with authority.

AAA game with a protag this fucking BASED is not something I could have ever expected coming from a dev that's not in Asia.
 
I've seen a fair bit of this game and it certainly doesn't look like a high 80's game.

Again haven't played it but the actor playing Bond just doesn't have it IMO. I get it's a young Bond but he's not selling even a hint of that suave, smug confidence that's so associated with him.

I'm playing it now and it feels like a Bond movie. He does have the suave, smug confidence, even at a young age.

Way more than a hint. It's built into his character.

Sorry, I'm not sure what you're getting at. The game is being very well received. They might green light a sequel with the same cast? And if they re-cast, I don't think they'll make drastic changes.

Even if they don't make another one, it's a solid game based on a movie franchise, which is we don't always get. This team did a great job with this.

Driving sequences like this often just feel like filler. But yeah....this guy is trying to apply the Mixtape criticism and apply it here and it really doesn't work. Makes for great clickbait, I guess
 
The Mixtape criticism would seem to apply to the section it is being applied to. In fact I saw a pseudo fail state when someone did this in Mixtape (they got reset about 5 seconds), which may or may not be possible here.

all-time peak for the 2016 Hitman reboot was 51k

current Hitman WoA (Hitman 1-3 rollup) is only 11k

seems like a hit by IOI standards
 
That video is retarded. I just played an absolutely massive, open-ended Hitman-like hotel level with tons of ways to tackle it that completely blew me away. The game is legit incredible. There's a 10 min on-rails thing after the hotel but that's after hours of open-ended gameplay. Please don't fall for clickbait.

You said you haven't played it and that he doesn't have a hint of being a Bond. But he does.

I'm playing the game and he's definitely a James Bond character. He has the suave and smug confidence that Bond characters have, even though he's young. The first intro mission shows you that part of his character within the first 30 minutes lol

Playing the game is irrelevant when discussing acting ability.

I don't think he conveys those qualities very well at all and thats necessary to playing Bond well IMO. You must think he's good in the role given your response, if you don't think he's good then what are we discussing exactly?

Agree. Criticize that section as playing itself as in you can't fail, but not the entire game as the tweet implies. That's clickbait and simply false.
