The new DRM.
13GB?
Your internet bandwidth is already dead.
Auto-downloading DLC into the game as a required patch is repugnant. I don't care if Steam or any other platform does it that's just wrong. I don't care if it is more convenient for the developers, publishers, or what-not. We're likely entering an era of more bandwidth restrictions, not less (unless you are willing to pay extra money for business class or whatever they label it as), and there should be a way to refuse the download of optional content and still retain the ability to play the game.
Generally I think it's impossible for multiplayer games to function properly without everyone running on the same version.
Well, this isnt Steam and the 360s update mechanics were fantastic. I wonder what happened here.
How is it even possible for a 13GB patch to be released and nobody have a clue what it actually does?

Fairly unrelated to this though, a 13GB download indicates a significant amount of assets being replaced or added... That's more space than your average game uses for all of its assets sans FMV. And FMV is the primary reason why we see 25+GB games at the moment.
Wouldn't this make the game unplayable for people with caps ?
This cap thing is fucking ridicilous, is it an american thing ?

If this update really replaced or improved anything game related Micrsoft and Capcom were the fist who communicated this over all the gazillion media sites. I think the whole OS and tools are far from being finished and I really hope sizes like these never happen for this generation on either system.
Data caps are a stupid idea perpetuated by gouging ISPs. I personally find them loathsome. Throttling is equally unpleasant and retarded.
Surely this 13GB thing is a world record?
This is a mandatory patch, right? You cannot bypass it?
Just turned on my Xbox One to download this in preparation for the DLC and my Xbone had already downlaoded and installed the update.
13Gb patches are a bit of a joke though. Especially when the 360 had those super small patches.
Hope it's all new zombie voices. I would pay $2.99 to replace all sound effects with vuvuzelas.
Well than thats just bad infrustructure from the OS and/or bad game design in the first place. They should rename it from "patch" to "reinstall" then.Well it doesn't need to improve anything really to fall in to the categories I mentioned, since it's possible their assets are packed in to large groups and had to be completely replaced in order to make small changes. But it's pretty much impossible to require a 13GB patch without huge asset changes/replacements.
Microsoft: This is not cool.
Hrm. So this leads me to a question - if this is indeed DLC, wouldn't it be considered "unsolicited goods", and thus already legally owned by the recipient? At least in UK and other EU countries with similar legislation?
Man nobody has yet figured out what this patch is about? NeoGAF is slowtonightthis morning
