15 for '15 | 15 huge PS4 console exclusives for the year ahead

While I am looking forward to many of these games, 2014 has reminded me the dangers of preordering. And to always cancel the preorder if reviews are delayed until release day!

I am certainly not going to make any GOTY predictions until I play several games. My 2014 GOTY is Valiant Hearts: The Great War and I could never have predicted that.

Cheers

I pretty much play any and everything, but something about these games (sans Bloodborne and U4, which I'm still pretty weary about) do nothing for me.

I guess I'm just kind of uninterested in the "smaller" experience now. That and I have a pretty bitchin' PC.

Thanks for responding...obviously everything is not for everyone. Are there other PS exclusives youd be much more excited about?

Too many smaller, uninteresting games with weird gfx and suspect gameplay. I like bigger games, not this filler.

Each to their own. Those smaller titles let me try new things without overstaying their welcome. Big AAA games being padded out with fetch quests and collectibles is the kind of filler I don't want.

Bloodborne is the only game on that list I'm legit excited about. Uncharted is a game I'm optimistic about, but also wary of because of UC3. The rest need to prove their worth before I buy them.

Off The Charts Hyped For Games

Uncharted
No Mans Sky
Dragon Quest Heroes
Bloodborne
Rime
Cosmic Star Heroine
Persona 5
Super Time Force Ultra
Axiom Verge
The Tomorrow Children - currently uploading nearly 2-3 hours of alpha footage
The Witness
The Order
Disgaea 5

Those alone could be hit in 2015 and it would be a fantastic year. But then you got a ton more and much more from 3rd parties. Man. 2015 is going to be so good. Can't wait to see the release date schedule get more solidified for the year

Impressive line up of games it has to be said. ''Huge'' is hyperbole nonsense but you cant blame Sony for highlighting what's coming up.

PC GAF is annoying as fuck sometimes. Not everyone has a PC that can play those games. The thread is about PS4 console exclusivity, which is NOT a lie. Go away!

I agree, this has been annoying for quite a while. Makes me wish there was a rule against constantly bringing up PC in console threads.

and the only one i'm excited for is no man's sky which might not even live up to the hype surrounding it.

i kinda regret buying a PS4.

In terms of plot and characters, is Persona 5 a game you can jump into without having played the others? If so, add that to my list. I'm open-minded.

Getting everything but Alienation and Hollowpoint, and I'd not turn my nose up at them if they wind up on PS+. Next year is going to be amazing,

The only exclusive game you are looking for is No man's sky in 2015? Holy shit! I hope you are interested in some 3rd party games at least...

I guess we're going to have to deal with these kinds of threads all year. And that list is not even complete.

Goal post have been moved people.

The thing about this list is plenty of these games are coming in the first half of the year. As for big retail games only Uncharted 4 is announced for that slot. I wonder if there will be more retail games announced for holiday 2015. Maybe Ratchet and Clank is a holiday title. And no i am not in any way discounting downloadable only titles.

For my tastes, that's a solid line-up and a nice mix of full-price disc and download only titles.

I successfully resisted the urge to buy a new console in 2014, but there are a few titles there that I really want so I can't see my resolve lasting too much longer :D

Not a problem and not off the top of my head, no. It's just to me a lot of these games, at a glance (which, I know it seems silly to base an entire game off of), seem like bite-sized, free with PS+ after a few months, weekend long at most, indie affairs and nothing truly "meaty", at least for me.

Don't get me wrong, I like the PS4, but none of the games in this sizzle reel, minus the two I've listed before, made me stary eyed with excitement. And as I said before, the smaller indie darlings just isn't doing it for me like they used to.

As long as it's nicely polished, I'm looking forward to Final Fantasy VII too.
