20 PS4 exclusives and console debuts for 2016

I'm starting to think sony should seriously run an ad featuring the tagline "no games" would be hilarious

Being passive aggressively sarcastic to a small subsection of hardcore fanboys does not seem like the best basis for marketing.

They did better with the it "it only does everything" PS3 stuff.
 
I think Horizon will be finished in time for a 2016 release, but depending on what else Sony has lined up in terms of third (or even first - GT Sport full release for example) it may be deliberately delayed to Q1 2017 to give it room to sell and get a lot of attention.

Hope not though. Wanna get me some Aloy robo-dino hunting Xmas fun.
 
Horizon is a less likely candidate for a delay than Uncharted 4 was IMO as it's been in development for 4 years and seems fairly far along, compared to UC4 which was rebooted in April 2014 (a year before it's original release window). Though I won't be that surprised if it does get delayed, I hope it makes it out this year.
 
Not sure how to feel about Horizon. Everything I heard and read about the game sounds amazing, but seeing it being played live with all those texture pop-ins really lowered my expectation.
Hope the main story will be good at least.

The game, when we saw it, was probably an older build and ffs, this game is at least 12 months away from it's release.

I don't get the performance and pop in complaints tbh.

Solely because of the pop-ins? 'cause I'm sure these will be ironed out.

Yes, because focussing on graphical detail in a vertical slice in what is at best an alpha-state would deflate my interest ins game too.

I can see this being a BIG thread topic in 2016, especially after whichever event we see another demo at.

Also - your opinion sucks ass.
 
Kind of crazy when it's summarised together like that. The lack of RiME really hurt though. Really hope it makes it for 2016. Hell it was supposed to be 2015 before wasn't it?
 
Great - that's 20 game box arts ruined by SCEE's stupid, intrusive "exclusive this, exclusive that" logo. They even have it in this video. It's as bad as the "PS Move" circle last gen. Stop it SCEE - you've already won Europe!

I don't know. This game was probably a bore to play. Just like their previous games. Looked good, but was boring. They should they their time with this.

Horizon: Zero Dawn for VR confirmed lol. Hopefully PSVR at least features a cinema mode for all games!

Gorgeous? If I saw her on Tinder I'd swipe left.

No complaints though, we don't need her to be attractive and sexualised and have that detract from her character like Quiet.

Previous games? They've only made one previous game. It received mixed to good reviews, but it was a first attempt after all.
 
I'd say I'm going to buy at least 15 of the games in that video next year. Good lord. I wonder what mental gymnastics will be employed next year to continue the "PS4 has no games" narrative.

hmm? You realize how big Dreams is? It going into Beta is big news, this is there next franchise title. If both it and GTS go into Beta, that's the beginning of there releases to games that will be continually updated. And if it was just about reaching a number, many 3rd party exclusives would have been added to the list.

I don't think they were saying Sony Europe are desperate for including Dreams, but rather they're desperate for including a game that only has a beta in 2016 rather than 2016 exclusives.

Pop-ins are the worse immersion breaking IMO and was also the reason I can't enjoy any AC games. And GG never did an open world yet, so this could be an engine issue that requires them more time to iron out.
 
I have a feeling that TLG is quite far along.

That and UC4 are the most exciting for me, those and Nier: Automata.

Want to be excited for Horizon, but GG have yet to convince me. :)

We have only seen footage from E3*. That was 7 months ago. The game itself is at least 9 months away from going gold. You really think they're just sitting on their asses for 16 months?


* The footage from Paris Games Week is what was shown behind closed doors at E3.

Lots of great games in the video alone and it's just the tip of the iceberg really. Should hands down beat 2015 by a gigantic margin (but that's not hard at all).

One thing that surprised me was Hellblade due to the fact they had to pretty much start the thing again?. I'm not expecting that this year or perhaps ever.

The haters are praying for delays and flops. And of course most of the Japanese games will be considered irrelevant.
