There was that moe zombie girl and then this evil chick who evil zombie moe girl and they all fought and stuff.

So did I like miss a season where zombie moe became a thing? Were there handouts for this I just missed? Or have I just been blind to it.

I've been thinking that ever since the skyway anniversary celebration scene in episode 12.
It seems like Sanetoshi might be trying to get Kanba involved in a terrorist conspiracy, perhaps as blackmail in exchange for saving Himari? In the next episode preview, we have Kanba saying that he would do anything to save [a person], even if it turned the whole world against him. Hmm...

And it looks like Kanba is in the same organisation as his parents, too.

Squid Girl is dead? How are you coping with the lack of cuteness?
When in the absence of one cute thing, I cling to others. There is enough for me to sustain.
When faced with a thinning amount of cuteness I will create my own through drawing to survive.

Yeah it seems
Kanba is following the same path his parents did. Or that is my prediction at least.

I didn't see it like that at all.
In context I'm pretty sure she meant it as a lighthearted joke. She isn't going to give up on him, but I really doubt she is going to go crazy mode again.

Why don't you just look in a mirror? You are so kawaii ^_^

Yeah, tiny hats and how they're straining to look cutesy/open their eyes as much as they can is kinda bothersome. I prefer the vapid half-lidded 'fuck me' stare, Maxim style. Like that chick in Good Crown.

Isn't that Idolmaster seiyuu picture matching the seiyuu with their character by their image color? But even then, there's 13 pictures and only 12 idols (counting the twins together), and I still can't figure out which picture is Hiromi Hirata (Makoto, image color black).

Otherwise it's:
Azumi Asakura (Yukiho) - Chiaki Takahashi (Azusa) - Asami Imai (Chihaya) - Asami Shimoda (AmiMami) - Rie Kugimiya (Iori)
Eriko Nakamura (Haruka) - Akiko Hasegawa (Miki) - Mayako Nigo (Yayoi)
? - Naomi Wakabayashi (Ritsuko) - Manami Numakura (Hibiki) - Yumi Hara (Takane) - ?

... I guess?

So I'm going through my annual fling with One Piece and just marathoned the Amazon Lily arc and am going through Impel Down. It still amazes me how a silly children's cartoon with such ridiculous character designs can bring out such strong emotions in me. It must be the villains, Luffy is like a Christ figure who endures such tough beatings and I can't wait for him to arise from the dead and dish out some holy justice with his fists.

ps Boa Hancock is hawt~

Boa Hancock is fab

It goes like this starting at the top left:

Kotori, Azusa, Chihaya, Ami/Mami, Iori
Haruka, Miki, Yayoi
Makoto, Ritsuko, Hibiki, Takane, Yuhiko

So like I said, hottest are Azusa's, Hibiki's, and Ritsuko's seiyuu.

Well, that's the problem when someone's image color is freaking white, so why add to the confusion by stuffing Azumi Asakura in an outfit that's mostly black, like Hiromi's? The glare in that photo also made it near impossible to see that Juri Takita is definitely wearing a light yellow dress in the upper left picture.

What is it, anyway, a promotional image for the PS3 port?

Ezalc said:
Yeah it sucks that both Makoto's and Yukiho's seiyuu are wearing black and white so it can be confusing. As for Kotori's I don't know what you're talking about I can clearly see that her shirt is yellow. There's a bit of a glare but nothing that makes it look entirely white.
I guess my monitor just sucks then. That or it was set at a really bad viewing angle.

That is a weird thing to say when Lelouch is a copycat Light.
I'd say the circle is complete, but it just keeps going round and round.

The real question is: why didn't they copy that character type? He's one of the most entertaining characters in Code Geass and integral to the show as a whole. They're completely missing the point by having a dull, boring and weak main character.

They're valuing growth over strategic douchebaggery. Make the character weak now and have him take a level in badass later. This isn't exactly new in Japanese media. I for one am glad they aren't using the same archetype even if this one is a thousand times more common.

Because Lelouch may be awesome, but he doesn't exactly make for a good self-insertion male fantasy cipher.

RurouniZel

Asks questions so Ezalc doesn't have to
El-Hazard: The Magnificent World (rewatch): After all these years, El-Hazard still a pretty great show. The first OVA series was great, and its animation still holds up today. ^_^ Also, still one of the most competent English dubs ever cast.

Tenchi Muyo in Love (rewatch): This, however, doesn't hold up as well. I'm amazed this got me into Tenchi Muyo back in the day, as this movie is kind of a clusterfuck of bad direction and not-that-great animation. Plus, the music is kind of bland.

Tenchi Muyo: Manatsu no Eve (rewatch): Better animation than TMiL, but it's one thing to watch a bad movie, and another to watch a movie in virtual fast-forward. I know this was part of a double feature, but it's hard to appreciate a movie when it moves this quickly. >>;

Underlings and sex friends 04: Complete Harem Mode: Switch ON! We're introduced to three new characters; a loli nun, a boy who basically is a girl for all intents and purposes complete with maid outfit, and a scientist who likes mecha porn and wants Kodaka inside her. Yozora is not happy with the last of the girls at all, and Rika totally knows the score. It seems Yozora is doing what she can to hurt Kodaka's rep via Kodaka's new underling, possibly out of resentment that he doesn't remember her.

But seriously Yozora, slapping a 10 year old girl twice to get a room for your club? Really? What a mega-bitch.

Penguindrum 16: And we're back in form this week. I liked the direction of this episode, we learn a lot about Masako and her history which is good because she was becoming a throw-away character for me. And we get a glimpse of what Kanba is getting himself into to get the money to keep Himari alive. Awesome stuff.

Also, the photo shoot was hot. XD

UN-GO 2-3: The show still moves too fast, but for some reason I enjoy watching it anyway. I like the art style, and the main characters are interesting enough that I want to see where it goes. I wonder why the lights were all flickering when his partner started going nutso and doing the whole transform bit. Plus, crazy paperbag prayers are crazy, and Rie on horseback was totally random. :p I mean, yeah there was a story excuse for it, but I think the animators just wanted to draw horses instead of cars. I'm totally okay with that, by the by. ^^; And Inga is totally awesome.

I'm surprised it actually came in today actually. I was expecting Monday two since I paid for 4 day shipping but it came in the day after it released.

Has anyone watched Blood-C uncensored? I'm curious to hear how it looked without the giant black bars.

I thought the uncensored version were Blu-ray only?

The censor bars only really come into play from about episode 5 - 6 ish, or at least I don't remembered getting censored out much if at all until that point.
