I suck at twitch shooters. Every time I have a bad round in COD I get annoyed. I don't "feel" my bad rounds in Battlefield games because there are so many other ways to feel useful, such as using defibrillators or shuttling people around in my jeep.

Yep, sounds like the typical bf player. There's games for everyone though, which is good.

I've never understood the people that stood around and waited for planes. I feel bad if I'm not moving towards and objective. There's jeeps to be driven and points to be capped! I'd rather give that plane to the one or two people that can provide proper air support due to their mastery with a joystick.

People in battlefield don't care about their KD. Every person always works together every time, unlike those people in cod that only care about their KD.

As a BF2 veteran, people DO care about their KD ratio. But by doing so, they actually inadvertently help their team because killing people means easier point capping. And if someone wants to rack up kills using tanks, well, that's just more cover for me so I can cap points.

And at the end of the day, point capping --> faster ticket depletion --> easier win. It's very rare for a conquest game to turn into a deathmatch unless people run an infantry only server (which is awful).

The team with the guy who is 30-2 is more likely to be the team with the most points on the map. Having that skilled killer helps your team A LOT in landing a decisive victory. Also, the best way to go 30-2 is completely roll over enemy points with tanks/armor, which helps your team.

And a dominant squad can completely take over the game if they stick together and point hop.

The fact that there are multiple opportunities to help leads to a subset of players in every server being able to offer that help. And it DOES have an effect.

No one ever designates a pilot lol. First come first serve. A skilled pilot will rarely die in a plane, so he'll likely have one for the whole round.

COD and BF are completely different games online. One has tightly focused infantry combat, one is more about open field combat with vehicles. I don't even get the comparisons other than EA drawing blood with its marketing.

I watched both launch trailers and in terms of my personal hype levels, it's not even close.

If you die you have to get back to the spot you died in on your next life or you lose the souls you were carrying. Items and what not you dont lose.

People wait for planes in BF because they think they're good. And if they are good with air crafts then they can destroy. Air crafts in BF I by far the scariest weapons in any multiplayer game.

Saw Green Lantern and man was it terrible. I don't think the actors were bad. It was just everything else that was. Plot, dialogue, camera work were all bad. CG looked rough and just unfinished at times. It was really obvious in the CG planet which looked low poly at times and some of the backgrounds just looked like pictures with the actors imposed on top of them. I wonder where the budget for this went. I can't imagine any of the actors being that expensive.

Human Revolution is so dumbed down compared to Deus Ex. Experimentation, interactivity, and hilarity all went down dramatically. Still good, but using the arbitrary review scale, I'd say it's more 8.5/10 than GotY.
