COD is low quality
trolololol
. Battlefield is not. I'd give you my argument but - ENEMY AC130 STANDING BY *gets spawn killed*

Yeah CoD/2 >>>>>>> MW > Blops >>>>>>>> MW2,WaW,expansions and other shit. BF game play is a snore-fest, but it is very well done.

Well I'd say that Battlefield has not abandoned its Conquest roots which is good.

The old COD games were quite good. They were much slower paced and required more precision.

The new games have way too many killstreaks now. I thought COD4 had a good balance.

Dude you're crazy. MW is the best COD game. Its where they perfected the flow of their shooting gallery singleplayer and with some great multi. But BC2 is a better multiplayer game.

Depends what you were playing, S&D obviously was slow paced. But HQ and the more exciting gametypes still moved quite fast.

Perks and killstreaks have ruined modern games.

I agree. They're particularly bad when you rely on them as a core mechanic.

Battlefield has always had its own version of perks since 2142, but the gameplay never depended on it.

I watched a friend play one of these shooters on his PC once. I think it might have been an older Battlefield title. Anyway, he spawned like five miles away from the battle. I watched him run towards the fighting for what seemed like forever. Finally he found some action, fired off a few rounds, and got killed. He spawned again like five miles away from the battle. Started running towards the action again. I stopped watching.

Is that Battlefield?

CODMW1 was where IW balanced them just right. since then the system has been overkill. So far I've disliked every COD game after MW and I don't understand how those games got high scores.

Neither Battlefield or Call of Duty look good, I think Zelda and Batman are the main games for me for this Q4. Will get Sonic Generations eventually, will get Mario 3DS when I get a 3DS, but those are lower priority. Skyrim GotY edition next year will be pretty awesome, but I doubt it will launch functional.

Also, I somehow failed to get in on the KMart $30 gift card deal which makes me a failure, which members of BEST-GAF did get it?

.... Why didn't he just grab a vehicle?

Demon's Soul wasn't even THAT good..

Son, have you checked the Dark Souls OT? Its growing faster than any other OT thread EVER. Many people were never exposed to Demon's Souls but have picked up Dark Souls, myself included. Uncharted 3? It will be great but we've been there, done that. Skyrim? It was my most anticipated game this year and my most awaited game since I played Oblivion BUT I can't see it being better than Dark Souls. BF3? It's a shooter and I don't see it being GotY. So we're left with Zelda. From what we're hearing its possibly the best Zelda yet which I have a hard time believing; nevertheless, its the only game IMO that can one up Dark Souls this year.

or even just spawn on one of his squadmates?

yes puddles that sounds like battlefield.
Hah yeah I completely forgot the game lets you choose several different spwan points.

User error? Blame the game!

So what player do you guys think will make huge improvements next season? Wall is my pick. I think he has the physical tools and talent to make huge strides in his second season.

Rudy Fernandez. I guarantee you he'll play better than he did when he played for Portland.

Bosh.

I also think Rondo will have a strong season from start to finish since he's had enough time to get over the Perkins heartbreak and possibly find a new dude to chill with.

two people: rose, and the guy from the pacers who guarded him in round 1.

rose especially if the bulls don't have anyone else help him on offense. or he will break down.
please don't let this be true

as for the guy who guarded him (can't remember his name) it seemed he shut rose down pretty well...i wonder how well he'd fare against lebron/wade/melo/other great players. anyway, from what i remember, his defense was outstanding. cant wait to see it get better.

I think wall will actually have a decent year.

Then it'll either go to his head or he'll get hurt. Can't teach clutch though, still late game walldo

Unfortunately, I don't bereave in Wall at all.

Although, I do find it funny that DY is ready to trade DJ for a bag of chips after all those years he screamed "Trade Failton."

Hyperbole much.. Who cares if the Dark Souls thread is the fastest growing thread. Is there a point to that post besides GAF is rocking a game... I sve not played it yet, played the hell out of Demon's Soul and it was fun.. But not goty Dark Soul looks good too, but better than a game with a real story and role paying? I doubt it, but who knows... However, don't try to check nuts over a video game again kid...

I like Wall and I see a guy that could be the best player in the league some day. Even though he has problems running an offense now. He has great court vision. He has great size and looks like he can fill out his frame much more too. I can see him being a 215-220lb pg in the future with elite athletic ability and he will just be killing people with it.

Wall doesn't have great court vision.

He's only been successful in one mode of play through his entire career. When he's not running down the court at full speed, he's unremarkable to say the least. Plus he's got nobody to really learn from... I think he'll have a better season because of familiarity with his team and a better feel for the NBA competition, but I can't see him making any huge mental strides this year.

It's either Evan Turner or we are looking for another shooting guard after the season.

This is it for dude as a Sixer,IMO.

We owned by Will Smith now son. Shit just got real

Gerald Henderson would like you all to drop your pants and place your elbows on the counter.

I don't think Henderson will be a star. I don't see the creativity in his game for him to be that. I see him being a 15ppg defensive enforcer type if he's handled right.

Favors, Cousins, and Monroe.

It'll be either all of them or at the very least one of them. They're in the right situations right now to show what they've got if they work at it in this extended off-season.

The only way we'll see a surprise emergence like LMA's last season is if a star player on any of the other random teams happens to go down.

Can't predict these things and that's what makes the NBA so fun. :)

You'll be able to watch it here: https://ppv.wazoosports.com/ but for a fee :(. I want to Enes Kanter, why there have to be fees involved, argh.

Also, going for Favors, Curry, Cousins, Harden, Ibaka, and Dwight (Not at all the same as the other players on this list, but I think he'll approach a 30 PER whenever there's a next season) as the players I think will improve the most this season. I think Wall is still a year away.

See folks. I 'm not old!!!

BA, so if you had to guestimate right now, who do you think will win GotY?

Looks like Cloving is garbaging up the OT again...

Nothing is spared from his garbage.

Why are you so pissed off? You should be happy we're not having basketball. It's another year you don't have to worry about the Rockets disappointing you.
