I get what you were trying to say, but it's still odd that with 3 all stars you're looking for another someone else to be your knock down shooter late in games that is clutch as hell.ph33nix said:Maybe if your bum ass wasn't always looking to troll you'd see what I was actually trying to say
Anyways accept my friend request on battlelog or we're not friends anymore
Miller can't be counted on to be a 1st 2nd or even 3rd option, in MIA all he had to do was hit open 3s which he failed to do, partly cause of his jacked up hand. I'd be willing to guess once his hand is healed he could fill that role well enough.ItWasMeantToBe19 said:Mike Miller has zero total playoff win shares and has been absolutely horrible since April 2008.
I'm pretty sure he's never contributing anything to a playoff team ever.

On the other side, not sure how many of you watched the 30 for 30 last night. As a basketball fan it's a story you should learn about. One of the only local players to make it to the Boston Celtics and he was to sick to even enjoy it for a single moment.

He grew up in the city I was born and raised in. His entire fall was experienced first hand, but I never had any idea it was that bad.

The whole reason our 3 best players took less than the max was so we could have money to sign Haslem and Miller because they knew they needed more help beyond themselves. Miller's role was to help spread the floor for our wing guys and to provide a little bit of scoring when one of them was sitting. He did none of those. Ever. Except in some randomass game against Toronto, I think. Miller was also fucking terrible in the finals. The asshole shot 2-5, 0-3, 0-1, 2-8, 3-5, and 0-1. Either he refused to shoot or if he did he shot terribly. Say whatever you want about LeBron but the team and management knew all along that Miller would need to play well in order for us to win on nights the stars were off, and he never did that.
And it'll be the same thing again next season. Heat can't expect to have 3 guys provide all the production and expect to win. That money he's making is mid-range level shit and if we had a better player at his value our chances of winning last year are way higher

I hope MIA cuts him and he joins a contending east team and tears it up though.

I'd agree, but it's certainly a nice to have in your pocket, thing. The mavs had J.Kidd in that role, really.Branduil said:Here's the problem with the Mike Goku Miller thing: you have three all-stars, why do you need another guy to hit a million threes. Answer: because two of your stars are redundant with only one heart and zero consistent jumpers between them. The Celtics didn't need another guy to play like Ray Allen because they had real Ray Allen.
Yeah but Kidd is a future HOFer and a top-3 all-time PG in his prime. Mike Miller has a ponytail.giri said:I'd agree, but it's certainly a nice to have in your pocket, thing. The mavs had J.Kidd in that role, really.

They do have quite the payroll though, it's not like the Mavs are cheaping out here. But they constructed a team, not talent, that's the contrast.Branduil said:Yeah but Kidd is a future HOFer and a top-3 all-time PG in his prime. Mike Miller has a ponytail.
Plus the Mavs do not have three all-stars.
Shaquille O'Neal spent one season with LeBron James playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers and talks about their time as teammates in his forthcoming autobiography.
LeBron was a huge star, ONeal wrote in the autobiography. He was as big as I was in 2000 in L.A. when I was dominating the league.
Our coach, Mike Brown, was a nice guy, but he had to live on edge because nobody was supposed to be confrontational with LeBron. Nobody wanted him to leave Cleveland, so he was allowed to do whatever he wanted to do.
I remember one day in a film session LeBron didnt get back on defense after a missed shot. Mike Brown didnt say anything about it. He went to the next clip and it was Mo Williams not getting back and Mike was saying, Yo, Mo, we cant have that. Youve got to hustle a little more. So Delonte West is sitting there and hes seen enough and he stands up and says, Hold up, now. You cant be pussyfooting around like that. Everyone has to be accountable for what they do, not just some us. Mike Brown said, I know, Delonte. I know. Mike knew Delonte was right.
Im not sure if Kobe [Bryant] is going to listen to Mike Brown [now Lakers coach]. LeBron never really did.

Well of course you need spacing, the problem is the Heat get no spacing from their stars.giri said:They do have quite the payroll though, it's not like the Mavs are cheaping out here. But they constructed a team, not talent, that's the contrast.
I don't disagree with the statement, but it's not .... really unheard of to need that spacing.

I don't think Bosh is the problem, he can hit the jumper (aside from basically being a bitch all season).Branduil said:Well of course you need spacing, the problem is the Heat get no spacing from their stars.
Imagine if instead of Lebron and Bosh, the Heat signed Amare, Haywood, and some PG and SF who can shoot.

But yes, Haywood would have been good. Or Camby.
Amare comes with huge risks though. Guy is just as likely to finish as league MVP next year, as he is to retire from a career ending injury.Branduil said:Bosh isn't the problem, but Amare is better.
