We've been playing like we don't give a shit. Absolutely no effort. Someone please explain to me WHY???!!!

We didn't have to give a shit to beat Chicago, that just comes naturally to a Miami team.

I really wish the Dolphins had gone 0-16 back when they had the chance. Fucking Baltimore.

Boohoo, guess you'll have to remember them for 17-0 instead. Shame about those '85 Bears though huh?

Sucks for the dolphins that their super bowl win is the only superbowl not to sell out. Shitty Miami fans being miami fans.

I'm a Dolphins fan so when I am checking this thread and see this shit, I gotta say something. You are wrong. The only Super Bowl not to sell out was SB 1 , So shitty Packers fans I guess.

Fuck my life. Congratulations to the Heat and their fans. You were the better team over the series in every way. I really thought we had the personnel and gameplan to win but the big 3 were just too much to handle. I love this team and really believe we'll come back stronger next year. I'm hoping we make a move for another scorer but even if we don't, I'm confident that Derrick will improve and we'll be back in the eastern conference mix. It really hurts right now but I'm happy with the season we had overall and wish Miami the best of luck in the finals.

All fair points except I think Dirk is clearly the best player in the game right now.

No. Clearly the best player? How? On offense? Ok maybe on offense he is the best player but best overall? No. Lebron is a better passer, rebounder, defender, and slightly less lethal on offense.

Dirk doesn't miss 9 shots in a row.

Dirk's the most dominant and unguardable player in the league right now and I don't see that changing.

Until he loses games with his defense, he's the best player in the game.

They all suck.
Apart from , you know, when amare ran the league at the start of the season and was top 3 in most peoples MVP lists.

he's got his flaws, but he's much better than the other 2.

0_o, no offense, but, have you watched dirk in these play offs? like, full games? no one who has seen him play in the last 8 weeks can say anything but "wow". he's simply been the best player in the play offs to date. Thats no slander on the other guys left standing, but he's been on another level. And it's not like he hasn't seen and showed up some great defenders on his way there.

Again you are talking about offense. Dirk is a not a better defender, rebounder, or distributer of the ball. He has a better offensive game. That does not make him clearly the best player in the league.

That's horrible, neither Westbrook or Monta has any idea how to actually play basketball, but Westbrook is a lot more talented.

You're joking - have you seen monta play??

he used to take a lot of bad shots, but he doesn't as much anymore... he switches between point and shooting guard with curry depending on the situation on the floor, he can get to the rim, he can shoot the jumper from just about anywhere, and he's added the three point shot to his arsenal... he can even play pretty good defense when he puts his mind to it... he's a much better defender than curry.

i would say his only deficiencies are that he can't draw the foul and he gets beat up by big guards... struggled big time against grant hill and probably the main reason GS got swept by the phoenix suns this year.

anyway talent wise monta is a top 10 player fo sho...

GS need to get a center to noah or marc gasol... or even take a punt on someone like greg oden (he's still on a rookie salary?)... to be honest the team is really unbalanced... with too many offensive options lee, wright, monta, curry and not enough players that can play good D. still i dont really want to trade away curry and monta - i think it can still work... but happy to see what tricks lacob pulls out of the bag.

westbrook on the other hand... has got the quickness and shoots a lot of free throws but thats about it... makes dumb decisions and too many turnovers...

and just my two cents... but i always thought lebron and dirk were the true MVPs after the regular season... it was much too early to anoint Rose especially when Thibs was probably the main reason they won 60 games... but wow at the unclutchness of Rose in the playoffs...

He can pass too(but he doesn't have to distribute the ball, they have a Hall of Fame pointguard to do that).

What I am saying is his offense is THAT good that right now he's the best player in the league.

The playoffs have shown that, he's dominated in almost every game.

You can't guard him or no one has been able to of late.

I'll agree to disagree but I don't think "its clearly". They aren't that far off.

Serious question: if the Heat win this, does Miami become the most hated city in America?
Lakers fans should know this.

If the Heat start winning championships, right now (or rather, when the playoffs started) would be when the generic hate was at its highest point. The bandwagon only grows from here.

Dirk is the MVP of those playoffs far ahead of everyone. You list a bunch of stuff but it's easy to make another list: shooting percentages (52/52/93 for christ's sake, have you seen the degree of difficulty of those shots, do you have any idea how that impacts spacing?), how clutch he is and how that impacts the mental of everyone involved...

2 points is not always just 2 points.

Umm ok.

Dude claimed Dirk was clearly the best player in the league. I disagreed.

Miami went crazy last night. I can't imagine what the rest of this weekend will be like. Took the day off to celebrate the Heat and spending it on the beach.

Just saw Scottie Pippin say Lebron James is the best player of all time and I think to myself: "wow, I can't believe that a team has Lebron, Bosh and Wade on the same team, much less on MY team".

It's a great time for Miami sports as the Heat are poised to face Dallas for their second championship and the Marlins just completed their swop of the WS Champion Giants are are one of the top 3 teams in baseball. If the Dolphins could land a QB and the Panthers could make the playoffs, the economy is going to continue to grow. :)

1. heat will lose to mavs in 4 games unless stern gifts you another championship
2. delonte west fucked lebron james mom
3. the dolphins suck balls and will continue to suck balls. their owner is a fucking idiot and now they have a lameduck coach.
4. marlins will sell off their entire team if they do anything good this season (again)
5. panthers suck without the rats on the ice
