What's the news on Rubio?

I haven't really looked at any official news (if there even is any) because I'm a bit concerned about learning the truth... Although I was at the game tonight and it looked like he really could not walk at all. At first I thought it was just him pretending to have been hit to complain about the foul/no-charge call but then he stayed down and was visibly in pain on the way to the bench and while he was on it. After that he tried to walk around during a stoppage of play and he didn't make it 2-3 steps without wincing and almost collapsing before limping back to the bench. So overall, it doesn't seem that promising but hopefully it turns out better than it looked... (I'm thinkingit was just a bad angle/hard hit on the knee and that it'll only keep him out a game or two...)

On the plus side, Wellington and Malcolm Lee may get some PT

On the minus side, I am suddenly apathetic about our Playoff chances. This night fucking sucked and its not because of the loss. Inverted knees and back spasms FTL

Yeah, I'd rest Rubio as a precaution tomorrow, get Malcolm Lee some burn. It's only the Hornets.

No news.

Left knee -- will be further evaluated tomorrow. That is all the Wolves are saying about Rubio, who won't be talking tonight.

Nobody predicted this, either.

Certainly not the Knicks:

"We have no worries about Carmelo. He's a phenomenal player," star Amare Stoudemire said.

Center Tyson Chandler agreed, saying "I think it's completely nonsense. At the beginning of the season, we were asking players to do too much. Now we have a natural point guard that makes life easier for other guys and puts [players] in their natural position. So we're going to be more of a threat."

or Melo:

But many wonder whether Anthony, who thrives off isolation sets on offense, can co-exist with the 23-year-old "Linsation," who has turned the Knicks back into a high-octane pick-and-roll squad.

"It's a tough situation. I'm human at the end of the day, so it's like damn, where is this coming from?" Anthony said. "I know I'm not a selfish player. People around me know I'm not a selfish player. I do everything I can to make people around me understand I'm not a selfish player."

I think the Knicks need to shorten the rotation down once Tyson and Jeffries are back. JR Smith needs to sit. Normal starting five, plus Jeffries, Novak, Shump, Baron. Trying to fit JR and Harrelson in is throwing things off imo

Melo is playing like liquidy dog shit.

It's like he doesn't even want the ball.

There's absolutely no point in having him on your team, if he's not actively looking to go for 25+ a night.

Remember that time when people said the Knicks would be competing for a Top 4 seed

To be fair even after the loss tonight we're still 5.5 games behind Philly for the division lead and automatic 4th seed. That's a much bigger if than it was before this road trip started and we were 3.5 games back, but still.

edit: 5.5 not 4.5

They're losing by 20 and it's not strange at all. Lockout basketball is pretty much going on right now. 8th game in 11 nights.

And they have a game tomorrow night at GSW, they're going to go 0-3 on their b2b2b

34 on 26 shots isn't really that bad. 10/10 on free throws, so he used 31 possessions to get 34 points. That's 109.6 points per 100 possessions, which will win most ballgames if the defense is at least average.

You forget the 4 turnovers?

that's 34 points on 35 possession. And it was 30 on 33 before the final 4 FTs, 2 being intentional fouls.

Bynum had 26on 11/15 shooting.

Pau was 6/12

That's the part that kills it.
You can excuse his chucking during the Kwame and Swush era but there are far better options. No reason Kobe should have more attempts than Pau and Bynum combined.
