I'll tune in. I doubt they can top last year's opening ceremony announcement, but it'll be fun nonetheless.

Steam is up now. Opening ceremony will start soon. Commentators are talking things through.

Sounds like they're going to be able to stream more matches now (apparently last year the best matches just didn't appear on stream at all).

Ah I was wondering if there was a thread! Really excited, I love the VGCs. I used to follow it more closely a few years back on Smogon but got back into it this year.

Even if the teams are repetitive with the Primals and Xerneas and whatever, I find it pretty fun to watch regardless.

And Pikachu libre reveal.

Moody is kind of broken I feel like. Maybe worse in practice than I would think though.

True.

I guess it's not so bad since only small amount of Pokémon get it. Only other thing I can think of is Bidoof/Bibarel.

The glalie line (but not Frosslass), and remoraid line also get it

Also, I don't get the point of not using Earth power to close the match. Precipice blades could have missed, and he's giving his opponent info that he didn't need to

I'm not too up on the rules. So Cress doesn't count towards the 2 legend limit?

No. Cress is one of the lesser legends, which were allowed in 2015 as well (It was part of the core CHALK? team that dominated worlds that year). They have equal or lower stats than stuff like Garchomp or Dragonite, so I don't see the huge issue.

The restricted legendaries are the cover ones, Zygarde(lol), and Mewtwo. The event ones, including Deoxys are banned.

Yeah, Zygarde (at least as it exists now) really has no business being restricted, since it also has a 600 bst like Cress and Psuedolegends, and it's really not that good in general

Thanks for the answers!

Should have realized it wasn't on same level since Cress is the bane of my existence in UU on showdown.

Wow, just barely took that extreme speed.

Edit: Time out hype. Like the suspense since it is total teams percent if I understood stream right.

I really like watching the team Wolfe, Markus, and Baris have been using at worlds. It's super skill based which makes it really fun to watch

Also Aaron is a great commentator. He's got a good career ahead of him if he continues to work with TPC for these events.

Honestly, the TCG is way more interesting to watch than the games...

Games have devolved into stalling for time and other boring shit.

Zzzzz...
