I really don't like foil compared to epee and sabre. Often the two fencers are just standing close to one another and trying to poke one another awkwardly.

Imo Epee and Sabre is where it's at. If you enjoy a game of observation and planning, almost chess-like, Epee is great. If you want more action, reflex-like parry ripostes with lots of energy in bouts, Sabre is for you. I don't know what to do with foil.

I honestly don't know anything about table tennis other than we played sometimes in high school gym class and I was shit. It's definitely one of those Olympic sports I put on and enjoy because it's the Olympics though
