So freaking close both times! More annoyed by the Argentina game than the Fiji game though since they were in a winning position and made some crucial errors. But it was still really fun, I could do with a little more rugby in my life. I hope they show more international competitions on TV more often.

Is it the first time there is beach volleyball at the olympics? The announcer is really annoying. It should be a ref, instead we keep hearing this annoying DJ comment every play, or saying sumb dj stuff like "We are in Copacabana the place to be!". It would be better if he just shut up. Only thing missing is random sponsor shoutouts and firing tshirts in the crowd from a hand cannon.
Also the fact that it's in English gets on my nerve. This is Brazil, let the Brazillian commentator do the talking, most people in the crowd can't even understand this American guy, it's just intrusive and disrespectful.

what are the rules on moving with the ball in handball? watching some highlights reel of women's sweden-russia game, and there seems to be crazy amount of travelling, especially just before throwing the ball towards the goal. worse than basketball i think.
IIRC it's no more than three steps, then you have to bounce it, but you can do quite a lot mid-jump

Call me biased, but I think Verniaiev should have scored more than 14.800 on that last exercise. In gymnastics it feels like last score is always exactly what the current champion needs...
