Agent Dormer

Dirty Drinking Smoker
Instead of five minutes before the last episode, here's one almost three hours before it! Let's keep the spoiler talk to a minimum, and keep the spoilers tagged, eh?

I'm wondering why they want to exchange jack for behrooz. Behrooz does not seem like much of an asset. Also in the previews, it looks like they will kill jack during the switch. Does this mean they will take a shot at Behrooz too?.
That said, Id like to see more development in the new threat, we know it has to do with the President, but I'd like to see it take action.

The shot they'll take will be at Behrooz, not Jack.

After reading an article in my old hometown PA newspaper, I'm convinced that
FOX will kill off Jack at the end of this season
. Not to mention the fact that last night's preview had the words
EVERYONE IS EXPENDABLE. Is Jack's time up?

What sucks about being on the west coast is that you cant comment during the episode. Every now and then I like to toss around my uber predections.

If Bauer dies, the series is over = :(

Hmm, my rule is that at 9 PM EST, anything goes. West coasters know best to avoid this thread until it airs at our side

Of course, spoiler tag preview talk...everything else related to tonight's episode is free game after 9 PM EST

I once believed Bauer could die, but now I don't think the show could go on without him. Tony is the only possible guy to take his place, but he still doesn't have the skills jack has.

Where every season degenerates into saving a kid and the world at the same time.

:lol @ stealth fighter jacking.

This is getting Season 3 ridiculous.

Yet, I made work put a TV on my desk so I could watch while I finish up on Mondays.

$50/hour, but no kissing on the lips and colors must be pre-separated
Another good episode...well, except for the incredibly cheesy stock stealth bomber footage at the end. :lol

:lol :lol Yeah.. I guess I just assumed because of their connections to the military, the show could have got that shot, and it just didn't turn out well in post or something. Pretty cheesy way to end, but I guess it got the point across.

I'm surprised we didn't get a single west coast poster in here. Oh, well I think the episode is about to end...let's greet them on their way in ;p

lacks enthusiasm.
Pretty blah episode. Wish more happened, but I guess it just served to setup next weeks. I hate setup episodes.

That whole sniper take out was absolutely dirty. I knew Jack wouldnt die but totally didnt know how they'd do it and was completely taken aback. I thought that looked like a Stealth plane in the hanger but I didnt watch the preview. Thanks for ruining it, jerks!

hyperbolically metafictive
yeah, kind of a dull episode. although that pilot guy is pretty cool. i wonder what he's going to to with the stealth bomber...he apparently doesn't plan to land the plane, but he apparently does intend to survive (marwan mentioned money -- he wouldn't need money if he was killing himself). i hope it isn't just an attack on air force one.

I thought they kinda gave it away when the mechanic said "You'd have to parachute out" or something like that.

SPOILERS
The stealth strikes Air Force One towards the end of next week's episode. I don't think anyone survives. Palmer returns as President for the last six episodes.

A big WTF at stealing an F-117. Seriously, what is he going to do with that? Certainly not attack Air Force one, since the F-117 isn't capable of air-to-air combat.

Arggh, I hope the writers have something different up their sleeves, because otherwise I see the potential for a HUGE screw-up on the realism of the show.

I think the idea is that he'd be "stealthed" and just kamikaze it or something.

Who said the plane was going to fire anything? :)

I didn't, I was just posting my own personal spoiler-free speculation. :)

Ramming Air Force One is an option I guess, but a strange one.

Didn't they say that the mission that is supposed to be flown is to rendez vous with Air Force One?

What good would a jet with no air-air capabilities be for an escort mission?

But... but...

That doesn't make any sense. Wouldn't the VP or Heller become President then?

And what is the president doing 18 fucking hours in the air?!

Not really a spoiler just a question regarding people's speculation:

Why do people keep saying Palmer is going to return as President? As far as I know an ex-president, other than keeping his Secret Services Protection for life (which actually, I think Clinton is the last president to get Secret Service for life -- Bush will get limited protection for a few years after he leaves office) an ex-president becomes a private citizen. There are whole lot of people in line of Palmer before anyone would even mention his name...

Since we know Palmer will return, and since 24 usually keeps some semblance of reality in terms of the chain of command, in what capacity will Palmer return? Gone bad? With critical information regarding these terrorists? As a CEO of a company or something involved?

This whole season wasn't too realistic from the beginning...heck, the mass messups and incompetence wouldn't even happen in CSIS. It makes for exciting TV though.

Holy shit, I too said alout, "a stealth jet!" This'll be good, cant wait till next week,
Anyone think Kim may have a rold as Palmer's secretary? please bring her back in some way, after all they have for almost everyone else.
This season is so fucking awsome, I love this show!
