26 years later, that Jordan dunk is still amazing as ever

I saw the baseline dunk of Jordan over Ewing in the 91' ECF live, and my NY friends looked like they were about to cry. I was laughing my ass off.

Fuck the Knicks.

my favorite dunk of all time.

Makes me miss basketball games as a kid. I tried to explain to someone once what it was like watching Jordan play compared to today, how he made things that were incredibly difficult look easy - and did it consistently. That dunk was just him getting started.

This dunk doesn't belong with the others in here, but I think it's one of the most underrated in game dunks.

Lebron catching an oop one handed while jumping over a Bull and it's all so effortless it comes off ho hum. Stupid.

KJ became my favorite player when I saw this live...

Kevin Johnson over The Dream

I was going to post this. I love the NBA but haven't followed basketball much in the last 15 years (I'm English and none of my current friends like it), but I was all over it in the 90s and remember watching this live with an old school friend.

KJ was 6'0 or 6'1 and to see him dunk over the greatest center I'd ever seen was ridiculous. It even seemed to take KJ himself by surprise, he got super pumped up after and he was usually a pretty quiet, reserved guy.

Damn, this thread is making me want to dig up my old VHS copy of 'Below the Rim' .

Vince Carter's dunk over Frédéric Weis (7'2") is the most impressive dunk I've ever seen:

Look at the reaction of the French guy on the left, lol "Woops, sorry, just looking for the way out of here."

Or as vicious as Shawn Kemp!

[Kemp dunking in NBA JAM]

it's not the best, but my favorite has always been kemp and his reaction

[sick Kemp destroying/pointing at Alton Lister]

Kemp was an amazing in-game dunker. Just no restraint. Suspect he lived the rest of life the same way :D No match for Dee Brown though, and I called that, ask anyone! Top ten prognostication there. Anyway, for those old enough to grow up with Super Slams of the NBA, you'll surely remember him dunking on the Knicks (of course).

[famous Chambers dunk]

lol. In LvC he could do that shit from just inside the three-point line. Tom Chambers was out of control.
