BTW Context has their Nudie RR jeans on sale for $150 @.@

Amazing looking jeans. Construction and fit is phenomenal. I have fit pics posted up of my Nudie RR.

Also, my APC's stitching is coming loose :/ These aren't the most well made jeans I've ever owned thats for sure.

Damn, I wonder how long they're gonna be on sale. Between buying a Logitech G27 plus a whole bunch of other random shit, I've already spent more than I'd like on frivolities this month :lol

I was actually thinking about buying a second pair of RR's but luckily for me they sold out of my size so I won't be able to convince myself to do that

My personal tastes change so much that having a queue of raw denim doesn't work for me. I still have a pair of raw April77's that I wore for maybe two weeks before I bought my Nudie Ralfs. I bought about halfway through breaking in a pair of Organic Ecru Thin Finns.

On a different note are APC's known for fading really quick? I already have some fading going on at the knee and I have a wallet impression. I've put maybe 3 weeks of wear on them tops.

Got a pair of new jeans. Got these for 50% off. 31w/36l, obviously a bit too long for me and I'll have them made shorter later on. Right now I've just had the bottom of the jean leg rolled up once.

Man, i really hope those are still on sale on sunday. Getting some 21st birthday money and they would be a great present to myself. They also have my size which is rare. 31/36 and 32/36

I like the fit on those.

.. Denim n00b here. I hear raw denim is all the rage from my friends and I am looking to buy a nice pair. Is there anything good not over 125? I need 36w 34l i do not want to buy online and I'm on long island. THANKS!

If you're on LI, check out the Tanger outlets in Riverhead. They have RRL denim on sale for $50 down from over $300, and I know they have a ton in your size too. Definitely check them out; great washes, not raw though.

$125 is a middle price point for raw denim. You're going to find things that are around $50 and cheaply made, and then things that are around $160+ that are much nicer. I'd throw in the extra money and take a train/drive to NYC and get a pair of APCs for whatever they cost ($160?). It's that or look online for deals. On LI itself, all there really is to get are Levi 501 STF which are $30 and pretty cheesy.

APC's are known to fade fairly slow. Well it actually depends on the level of fading, but at a month or so you'll definately notice minor color fades at the creases. Nothing significant until 7-8 months

you can find some Naked & Famous for that price. Uniqlo, Gap, Levi's STF, Club Monaco to start out.

Picked up a pair of those Context RRs a few days ago. Pretty nice, especially considering the discount. Now I can finally put away my 21oz Ironhearts for the summer.

I'm also considering a pair of Somet 003s and was wondering about the sizing. I generally size down slightly to a 31" waist, but I'm not sure if this is a good idea considering the lower rise.

Total denim newbie here. I usually wear straight cut levis but I'm thinking about buying a pair or two of Nudie or Naked and Famous jeans.

Are there stores in SF or LA that carry both brands? I'm concerned about how they'll fit because I'm a pretty skinny guy 6'0, 180 lbs but i have a big butt and thighs. I usually have trouble finding jeans that will accommodate that but not be too baggy also. Or should I just try my luck and order a pair online?

Also what's the deal with rarely washing these jeans?

Edit: Ok I'm trying to decide between Nudie RR dry selvage and Average Joe dry dirt organic. I prefer the RRs but I can't seem to find them in 32/32 online (or am i supposed to size down to 31/32), any suggestions?

ruined my pair of nudies by hemming them before washing, and now they're too short on me. :(

How much did they shrink up? I didn't think they shrunk that much at all, especially during washing, when compared with other stuff like the STF you are supposed to wash first anyways.

I picked up some Easy Emil last week and hemmed them up, but I think they are still a bit long even after hemming so hopefully will be OK as I've developed a nice fade in the back where I keep stepping on them :lol

Self Edge in the Mission District of SF carries Nudies.
Azelea and Villains carries Naked and Famous in SF.

I bought a pair of A.P.C. New Cures from Azalea in SF a couple of months ago. The staff was really helpful with lots of good denim tips and fitting advice. I'd recommend checking them out if you're in the area and looking for a brick and mortar store.

i would REALLY just go to self edge and talk to those dudes. they'll find something perfect for you. i've dropped well over a G on their new york / online shops and they've been nothing but knowledgeable and helpful.

DAMN i thought it was bad wearing my 15 oz flatheads in the summer :lol

i have a pair of somet 003s and the fit looks incredible but the rise is so fucking low. i'd look for the blueingreene somet sizing guide to help.

So uh...what's the deal on getting jeans hemmed? Yes? No? I have a pair or two that are long, not long enough where it looks bad, but long enough where a hem would make them look even better.

Just got my New Standards in today. I had ordered them in a long time ago at two sizes under what my usual jeans are (size 30 vs. 32). However, I've been slimming down all year long (used to have a beer belly and wear around size 34) and when I got them, they were way too big. I could actually just take them off while fully buttoned up!

I returned them for 28s and I'm pretty happy with them right now. The plus is that the inseam is smaller than with the 30s, so that it's just about perfect for my height (I'm guessing around 34 inches, where the others were near 36). Can just button them up now, kind of tight and stiff, but they're starting to loosen up after a few hours. The break-in process begins.

Here are some fit pics:

yo. blue in greene. greene X canal. just go talk to the dudes working and they'll figure out exactly what you need. if you don't want to drop ~300 but still want some great jeans, go to the APC store on mercer X prince. the dude 3 posts up is wearing the APC flagship jean, the New Standard. great entry into raw.

But, yeah. I went with some APCs for my entry into the raw world a couple of months ago, and they are treating me quite nicely. But as Mr. Bones suggests, I would recommend the brand if you don't want to spend too much.

Nice. APC is like the official manhattan jeans. The shirt is sloppy though.

Was perilously close to finallydropping some $$$ and ordering some Sugar Canes or Sommets. I'm just going to wait until I'm in NYC in about a week and a half though so I can get a proper fit on some and to, you know, see them in person.

Got fed up of wearing shit jeans last month so started researching into raw denim and the such. Then went on and picked up some Naked & Famous Jeans. It's been a month now and I love them.

So I've been in the market for some new jeans and went to the Gap to try some on, and I discovered that skinny jeans are pretty fantastic.

They go quite well with my body shape and I actually find the fit to be quite comfortable.

My question for Jeans-GAF now is where else can I find some decent skinny jeans in Vancouver?

I've checked out some stores including Gap and Urban Outfitters, but I'm looking to hear if there's any other places I should be checking out.

Also, what's the general price I should be paying for these? Looking around, it seems $50-$70 seems like the average going rate.

No $300 jeans, but you might still like it - http://us.levi.com has a nifty 50% off + free shipping code going on right now: CC50JUL

They don't ship to Europe :(.

I'm more than happy with my Engineered Levi's, but what bothers me is that I keep on hearing how much cheaper they are in the States and I can't seem to find a place with good Levi's bargains (Engineered jeans go for almost 160$ here). Any help for the cheapo Levi's jean lover?

what are yous guyses opinion on guess jeans?
My gut tells me that they're probably not worth the asking price, and I'm not a fan of the branding on the front coin pocket. I would probably recommend getting some Levis or Uniqlo in that price range, or spending a bit extra on something like Naked and Famous or APC.

I dont really want to spend $200 on jeans, but I'd like to buy a pair with these dimensions/cut, anyone know a cheaper alternative? Is this "slim?"

http://www.revolveclothing.com/b/Product.jsp?code=NUDI-MJ62&c=Nudie+Jeans&d=b
You can use the promo code "INSTYLE20" to get $40 off (%20) until August 31st. Also, I would consider that cut to be pretty damn slim (I'd go as far as to call it skinny).

Cheaper alternatives would be Levis 510/511 or Cheap Monday.

I knew I liked you Chinner. I just got in a pair a few minutes ago, I got a pair of Weirdguy Green Selvage. They are frickin' dope. The greencast is so cool. They are tight and stiff as shit, but I love the feel of new selvage denim. My pair of Indigo Selvage Weirdguys have got about 3 and a half months of constant wear on them, and they are beginning to fade in pretty nicely. Also have a pair of Indigo Slubby Slim Guys that are beat to hell but have not been washed yet. I'll probably post a pic of the Green Selvage tomorrow when it's light out.

I like that look...if I'm normally a 30/31 (30 is a bit snug, 31 is perfect) what size should I be looking to get nudies in? I remember (or think I remember) someone saying to go a size down or so.

Yep, size down. Raw denim always stretches by an inch to three inches, just depends on the quality and weight of the denim. In most cases, unless it has some sort of elastane mixture, it'll stretch out in the waist, the knees, and through the thighs.

Edit: I see you're into the Grim Tims. Unless you're totally into Nudie's contrast stitching, I'd spring for a pair of Naked and Famous Skinny Guys or Weird Guys, the denim is just better quality .
