The Halo community is split in thousand pieces. Everybody has a different vision, of what Halo makes Halo. It's kinda weird (and understandable) and 343i won't be able to please them all.
I have to admit, that I don't like anything what I've seen, played or heard about Halo 5 MP so far (except Breakout maybe). However, I like how they are making changes, based on the feedback. Giving us the option to toggle Sprint and the Spartan Abilities in custom games is pretty awesome. I just hope the Forge mode won't suck this time and people can come up with cool looking maps. I'm sick of grey and brown Forge maps.
At launch 343 should include a ranked playlist with sprint, and one without. Collect data over a month to see which playlist is more popular. I personally like sprint in BTB. I would be fine with sprint removed, with increased speed, and thrusters in other game types.

If you mean custom button mapping... Try it an other 10 years...
Seriously? What was wrong with it? They're a bunch of soldiers who just won a training match. People who just won something generally celebrate and high five etc.

I really liked Halo 5 the only changes I needed was strafe more sensitive and fast (good on them) and a bit more shields. TTK is a tad too low. Maybe they will tweak that a bit in the coming months. All my other negatives were small preferences and not game breakers. I'm pleased with this list of changes.
This would be great actually. Especially the name over the Spartan. It would make customized armor actually be worthwhile for once since you cant tell a damn thing is different about each Spartan during a match. Unless of course they have a flaming head or a katana, lol.
The post match celebrations annoy me, not because they're celebrating, but because they're antagonizing despite having just won. When was the last time you watched a sports game and the winning team felt the need to rub salt in the wound afterwards. They don't because they've just won, rubbing it in is something a 12 year old would do. Put the animation into the post match GTAV celebrations (which are very much a 'Ha, in your face' celebration) and it wouldn't look out of place. There, it totally fits. I just think it looks out of place coming from the best of the best legendary super soldiers.
Certainly not the most pressing issue to come out of the beta, it has absolutely no effect on gameplay, and by typing out so much it looks like the anti spartan-bros are taking it waaay too seriously. And its not, I'm there day one regardless. But it was a beta and they asked for feedback, I just think there's a better way of doing it is all.
They need to go full on Dark Souls animations for post game animations. Let players unlock them and use them.
Also thank fucking god that Kill cam is not forced anymore.
Interesting to see they are sticking to the rating method more or less. I am not a huge fan of it but they are committed to that and its not the worst thing ever. Guess we will just have to deal with the shit ton of "Look at this kid who went 1-15 and I went down a rank because of it. I carry my team mates so hard GAF, I AM PRO AS FUCK" posts in the Halo thread.
By the sound of it, Bungie did really teach 343 Industries the importance of doing extensive testing and listen to the community before making final decisions. This is, imho, the best way to build an amazing multiplayer experience. I'm officially stoked for Halo 5 now.

If you had a friend online playing H5 you could select their name and spectate from the options. Kinda hard to miss which is why not more people knew about it I think. Was pretty cool, just like Twitch with a short delay.

By all means have a celebration thingy if you want (seems pointless and time wasteful to me) but have them look cool rather than members of a fraternity.
Something like this for example.
Refrencing Destiny as a positive example, crazy times.
Even though it's a bit over the top, I'm on the customization side on this one. It'd be cool if you could set your preferred celebration or get a quicktime event to decide how you'd like to celebrate:
Well, I can't comment from personal experience, but considering that H5 multi is basically a holodeck wargame I could see some celebration like this going on.
If they're gonna do something ridiculous, everybody should just shake hands in a ridiculously formal manner, maybe throw in a Spartan monocle being shined in there somewhere.
This is the problem with having a feedback problem that only had 19k people. It's not a fair selection of people. I'm assuming a majority of those people are off of Halo Waypoint. Why didn't they just build a feedback program directly into the game? I am having a very hard time believing that only 11% of the people dislike sprint.
Believe it. I have a lot of friends who play Halo, and they are more casual gamers, but still play every halo release.
I asked them about sprint, and they were like "why would they want to take it away?"
Not surprised at all by the small number of people who indicated a distaste for sprint in Halo. You are delusional if you ever believed that sprint would be removed from the default game in H5.
I personally would love to see what Halo 5 would be like with everything but sprint. I am in the camp of not hating sprint but would have still preferred movement speed to be upped instead of tacking on sprint. Good thing they will be improving strafe speed, etc.
I'm glad to see they are at least giving us some options in this area, although the potential usefulness of those options are questionable because all of the maps are built with sprint and clamber in mind. Still, players in Halo 4 managed to salvage at least one or two maps to be played in no-sprint game types (Haven for one). The rest will have to be forged.
Either way I have no doubt that Halo 5 will be the best Halo in a long time. Sure it's not perfect but it will be a damn good game.
