Playing a bit more with some converted videos.

Tried with a longer video (~22 min) and of course, doesn't get recognized. Not that I was expecting otherwise.

But seems short videos (I assume 10 min or less) work just perfect (Xenoblade US Trailer):

The only downside is that a 3 minute video is around 60 MB LMAO (with a 2496 kbps bitrate), but looks alright (surely better than the Nintendo Video ones lol).

I guess it is great for short (Youtube) videos. Oh, and I'm too dumb to convert to a 3D one.

PM Me link for download too sir.

You mean the page for people who didn't sign in to the eShop but instead registered online?

No, there is a page for each region where you could/can check if your system is registered with the Ambassador programme.

Might need to log into the eShop first to have it update Nintendo's records, but I'm curious whether your old system shows up as being no longer registered, and your new system is. Now that you've done the transfer.

So here it is the Xenoblade Chronicles US trailer converted to the same format as the recorded videos:

http://www.mediafire.com/?upckmo8rum3iqk7 (hope MF works for you).

Just a reminder, the video is still in 2D and the audio settings I used aren't the best, it's just, let's say, a 'proof' that you can watch any kind of videos now (lol). Like I said, I'm pretty sure we will soon see a dedicated video converter just for this (with extra settings and 3D I hope).

Place it in the DCIM/100NIN03 folder on your SD Card and rename it depending on the things you have there (ie. HNI_0039.avi, HNI_0040.avi ... HNI_0100.avi, etc.)

I thought this would be an automatic download but I had to go into systems to do it
slow very slow

I got my first streetpass on Saturday! I got my 3DS at launch :(
so with Mii Plaza updating I never even played it once because I had no streetpass

Testing...Works! But yeah the audio is a bit bad. Oh well.

Is the 10 minute recording limit hard coded, or was that based on the standard 2GB memory card?

I ask as I have the standard card and it tells me I can record about 7.5 minutes of video... and that makes me wonder if 10 minutes is based on a mostly empty 2GBSD card, and if it's possible to record MORE on a larger card.

I have a 4GB card and the video recorder says 00:00/10:00. I dunno how much space is free, the data management says something like 20,000 blocks. That's about 2300 pictures according to the camera app.

DoomXploder7 said they should make a Mii SRPG and now I can't get the thought out of my head!

I'd play it. Keep the dog and cat characters as npcs/hireable party members.

This stop motion function is more fun than I thought it would be. Videos even work in Windows Movie Maker :D

Any chance you could make one for the MHTriG intro or explain how you converted the videos.

I like Find Mii 2, but they really made it hard for people playing with 10 coins a day to play it. It feels more like you should save up your coins for a week and then play it so you can hire some streetpass people and maybe buy a potion.

I don't even want to mess with the puzzles now. They just made it a gigantic grind. As if it wasn't hard enough to complete a puzzle with all the repeats you get. I'm talking about playing this stuff mostly just using coins. I don't get a lot of streetpasses around here.

I wonder if Nintendo Zone will have any exclusive content. Is it just at Best Buy? It sure would be a lot more convenient to park in a 24 hour McDonalds parking lot and do it.

I'm hoping we get some cool demos. I'd like a Sonic Generations demo myself.

Going to try to walk around the house a little to get 10 coins and kill this last boss in Find Mii II.

Edit: Xenoblade video made 1/1/1900 :p

Where are Find Mii 2 and the new Puzzle Swap stuff? I have all the other updates on the Plaza but those are absent.

They're in the games themselves. Find Mii 2 becomes available once you've collected all the original hats and the new Puzzle Swap puzzles and pieces are explained once you enter that the first time after you update.

I got no information about the Puzzle Swap as far as I know.

Wow, Find Mii 2 has a lot of cool new features! Between this and Mario Kart 7 I'm falling in love with my 3DS all over again.

So, here's the Xenoblade 2D trailer with better audio. But now, I'm getting a slight audio delay :/ I guess it's because of the converter, but for now this is the best I can do (or I'm really too lazy lol... check my last -above- post on how I did it).

http://www.mediafire.com/?678sq59hy007v1v

I'm sure you guys could do it better / find a better way to convert them.

Just beat Find Mii II. Well not beat as in 100% but I killed the last boss once and got....
Nothing because that ghost jackass from find Mii toke the prince!
Damn it.......

SO I HAVE DONE THE SYSTEM TRANSFER AND CAN CONFIRM THAT IT IS AN EXACT TRANSFER FROM YOUR OLD 3DS TO YOUR NEW ONE!

All of my saved data, 3DS games, 3D trailers, virtual console games, NES games, and settings are there, including all the Mii Plaza stuff. It's all unchaged. Most importantly, the little Ambassador Program video icon is still there which I assume means those of us who transfer will still get the GBA games when that starts rolling out.

It even has my icons on the main menu in the size and order I originally had them on.

It seems like it does like when you do a Time Machine backup for a Mac where it restores all your settings, only your old 3DS get wiped in the process instead. Otherwise, it seems identical so far.

Good to know, though I wasn't expecting anything less. It'll be interesting to see how Nintendo handles Wii to WiiU content transfers.

Though I still think I'm gonna wait for the ambassador games to drop before I move to my new system (Plus I need to buy an acrylic case and whatnot.)

Hmm...forgot when the update was supposed to happen. System is updating now

And since I have a bunch of Miis by invitation these past couple of days, I hope I can use them for the StreetPass games

So lame. I hear stories about Mario 3D Land and Rhythm Heaven puzzles and I end up with Donkey Kong Country Returns. I was never a fan of Donkey Kong.

Leaving Invite Mii off for now...getting dozens of Miis at a time via Mario Kart has been annoying.

Ugh, there's one person I met on vacation in Florida but he doesn't have his state listed...bummer.

People are saying Nintendo Zone existed via Best Buy before...how would you have accessed that before without the Nintendo Zone application?

Also, wouldn't one have to connect to wi-fi at Best Buy to use the NZ app? That seems a bit cumbersome.

Edit: Looks like you can stack icons six rows tall now...I remember it being only five before for some reason.

I got my Nintendo Zone apps months ago from best buy. I took my 3ds in sitting in my pocket and it auto connected to their wifi. I can't remember if I initiated the download or not though. When I go to best buy now again it auto connects to their wifi then I manually launch the app.

Just spent some time in Find Mii 2 and got 3 puzzle pieces (I got the Mario 3D Land panel).

So playing MK7 online gets you more Find Mii heroes/puzzle pieces? Sweet.

Probably my favorite feature is being able to rehire heroes you've already met. Certain to come in handy, since I SP with a co-worker of mine all the time. His level 7 Mii has proven valiant.

I wouldn't be surprised if Accomplishments is a universal system (like Achievements and Trophies) for Wii U.

Interesting. I've been in Best Buy no less than a half-dozen times with my 3DS and I've never gotten any sort of notification. Interesting.

Having so much fun with the update.

I figure this might have been talked about before, but there's going to be so much 3D porn now.

This feature of Miis being added when you play someone online. Does it work with every online game? The only online game I have is Tetris.
